toxic rooster 02-15-2006 07:53 PM

Oh get over it

Boondock Saint 02-15-2006 10:49 PM

Watched Blackburn v. Sunderland today. Sunderland kinda sucked...they're in last place or something. And their manager had the same expression on his face the entire game. Was pretty ROFL

I'm becoming a Blackburn and Arsenal fan, so far.

Ogen 02-16-2006 01:14 PM

Mick McCarthy fucking useless cunt

Ogen 02-16-2006 01:14 PM

Thats the Sunderland manager btw

Rob Ban Fan 02-16-2006 01:35 PM

God, don't become a Blackburn fan. Team full of tossers if ever there was one.

Reading (your team ;) ) will almost certainly be in the Premiership next year, so you can support them

Ogen 02-16-2006 03:00 PM

Well in fairness to McCarthy noone would save them so they'll be looking to next year and hes done well down there once for them

Ogen 02-16-2006 03:00 PM

Still a shit manager though

Y3J 02-16-2006 04:34 PM

I think some (by some I mean a lot) of the blame has to go to the Sunderland team, which is absolutely shite.

Mick's a great Division 1 manager though.

Word to that Boondock. Blackburn probably the most hated "not good" team I would reckon.

JT1 02-17-2006 08:45 AM

well it's turning into a fine season for us gooners this year..team has gone into self destruct, henry and cole are off in the summer and we're playing REal Madrid in the Bernebau on tuesday.

oh joy!

Mr. Monday Morning 02-17-2006 01:09 PM

Should still be a hot game

Rob Ban Fan 02-17-2006 01:17 PM

Real could have more Englishmen in their line up than Arsenal :$

JT1 02-17-2006 02:26 PM

they probably will as Cole is the only one englishman likely to start for us! though walcott is rumoured to be involved...talk about a big debut!

Ogen 02-17-2006 02:37 PM

Is Walcot even registered for the Champions Leauge?

JT1 02-17-2006 03:15 PM

yep as is diaby but adebayour is cup-tied...that's according to the club site.

Boondock Saint 02-17-2006 04:55 PM

So no Blackburn then? Hmm...what about Arsenal?

Mr. Monday Morning 02-17-2006 05:14 PM

If Arsenal get fit in time they're playing Real Madrid on Tuesday or Wednesday, you should be able to get a feed of that in the US someplace or else download it, it should be a good game. Same for Chelsea - Barcelona...Barcelona are arguably the best team to watch in the world right now.

Nah mate go for Blackburn. A dirty team, but they know it and don't deny it. Arsenal are a team of pussies so steer clear of them.

you're about 2 seasons too late to see us at our best. go for an underdog like wigan who are having a fantastic season in the top flight after being promoted last year

Cactus Sid 02-18-2006 09:37 AM

RAFA RAFAEL RAFA RAFAEL RAFA RAFAEL RAFAEL BENITEZ

Fucking fantastic for 90 minutes, by far the better side, United were absolute shite, they did nothing. Carragher, Hamann and Sissoko were absolutely immense today, brilliant, love it, excellent.

Couple of things to say, firstly, Garcia should've been booked for that gesture, its bang out of order trying to get players sent off, and he should've got carded for it.

Motty..... ok, Lawrenson is a Liverpool fan. He used to play for Liverpool, its to be expected. Motty just creams himself everytime Ronaldo or Rooney touches the ball. He is so past it as a commentator, the sooner he fucks off the better

I'm really interested to see what action is taken after the pie throw.... that was a really dangerous one.

As for Alan Smith, feel for the guy cos that looked nasty. Could be his leg and his ankle from the looks of things, maybe his knee as well, everything just seem to fall underneath him, that wasn't good.

Paranoid Rattlesnake 02-18-2006 10:05 AM

Alan Smith has broken his leg, Just confirmed on sky sports. Doctor stated it i the worst break he has ever seen

That'll be the end of his career no doubt about it and it doesn't matter what you think of the guy or the club that he plays for it's a massive shame and my thoughts go out to the guy.

Hope he comes through it

El Capitano Gatisto 02-18-2006 10:12 AM

Dislocated ankle as well apparently. Wouldn't be surprised if he fucked his knee too. Awful looking tumble.

Cactus Sid 02-18-2006 10:14 AM

Yeah from what I've read its a broken left leg and a dislocated ankle, hope to God its no worse and its sortable, I might not like the guy or United, but that was fucking horrific

packt up 02-18-2006 10:15 AM

Wow his leg looked totally wrong :$ :( I don't like the guy but you never ever want to see that and I totally felt bad for him. Hope he recovers.

As for the game Liverpool totally deserved it in a rather dull but interesting game - Man U didn't offer too much really.

El Capitano Gatisto 02-18-2006 10:17 AM

If something like that happened to Didier Drogba, I'd probably be alright with it.

Yeah see, its a shame that stuff like that happens to people like Alan Smith but cunts like El Hadji Diouf will probably make it through their careers without serious injury. THERE IS NO JUSTICE.

Unlucky Smiffy :$

To be fair I wouldn't wish an injury like this on anyone no matter there reputation. I've done it it's not pleasant and it takes a hell of alot of work to get back out playing with your mates never mind top level professional football

Paranoid Rattlesnake 02-18-2006 11:36 AM

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/image...wsmith.203.jpg

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson expects Alan Smith to be out for a long time after he suffered a horrific leg break against Liverpool.

Smith collapsed in agony after he tried to block a John Arne Riise free-kick in United's 1-0 defeat in the FA Cup.
A grim-faced Ferguson said: "It's one of the worst I've seen. He's broken his leg and there's a dislocation of the ankle joint.
"It's a very long-term injury - we're all behind him as he's a brave lad." The game was delayed by five minutes as Smith received treatment and he needed oxygen as he was stretchered off.

United's medical team were given help by Liverpool club doctor Mark Waller as the midfielder waited to be carried off.
Ferguson added: "I wasn't aware of what had happened because I was following the path of the ball, but you saw the reaction of the players round about Alan and you knew it was a bad one.
"It is another bad blow for us and it sums up our season."
Ferguson's counterpart Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez was quick to offer his sympathy to Smith. "We're all so sorry and we can only wish him all the best for the future."

Ogen 02-18-2006 12:24 PM

His leg just looked oh so wrong. Be a long time before he plays again.

Mr. Monday Morning 02-18-2006 12:38 PM

1-0 come onnnnnnnnnnnn

packt up 02-18-2006 02:10 PM

Wow we were looking shite.

Then N'Zogbia picked up the pace and Dyer slots it in.

Nothing like papering over the cracks

Rob 02-18-2006 02:24 PM

Didn't see the match cos I was playing myself but I'm absolutely fucking gutted for Alan Smith. He is a stand up guy (well when I met him when he was still at Leeds he was) and always gave everything he had. If Ole can come back though, I'm praying he can too.
