Guess who's in Scorpion King 3: Straight to DVD?

Ron Perlman is getting close to replacing Nic Cage in this sketch:

Didn't realize RAW was going to be taped in advance this week in Mexico. They're taping RAW on Saturday.

Did they only use Beautiful People for the Raw after WM13?

XL 10-14-2011 12:21 PM

It was way after WM13.

XL 10-14-2011 12:24 PM

Actually, I stand corrected. It was used in 97. I was thinking of when it was the SmackDown theme.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-14-2011 12:27 PM

Yeah, it kinda shocked me. I've just started watching 97 from WM13 and it was on the Raw the day after WM13, but now it's the more traditional Raw theme from the Attitude era that I forget the name of.

XL 10-14-2011 12:33 PM

Where are you watching these, Hasney? (Didn't I already ask that!?)

#BROKEN Hasney 10-14-2011 12:50 PM

It's slow as hell though, you'll be lucky to download an episode a day.

Just watching the debut of the Truth Commision now. Didn't even realise they were supposed to be South African.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-14-2011 01:16 PM

Watching Judgment Day 98 right now. Chicago crowd in the Attitude Era. Currently popping like crazy during a D'Lo/X-Pac European title match.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-14-2011 01:18 PM

Headbangers cutting a nice promo on the Outlaws. Whoda thunk it?

Supreme Olajuwon 10-14-2011 01:23 PM

Oh wait I already watched this not too long ago. Well I caught the 2nd half with Kane v. Taker w/ Austin as special ref.

Because next is DEADLY GAMES

Worst PPV theme song ever.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-14-2011 01:34 PM

Road Dogg just smashed a boombox on Mosh's head causing a DQ. JR clarifies to the viewers at home that this was not a JVC Kaboombox.

XL 10-14-2011 01:34 PM

I'm watching WCW PPvs from 98 - 2000. Strikes me how far behind they were with music/video production.

Intro videos/music were so generic and their PPV intro videos were lame.

Also, it's really difficult to keep up with what's happening without seeing the Nitros inbetween. Flair went from good guy President that returned to save WCW from nWo to being a heel fueding with Piper and bribing referees. Benoit went from Tagging with Malenko as part of the Horsemen to teaming with Saturn. DDP went from being a babyface World Champ to a member of the New Jersey Triad with seemingly no middleground.

I'm a little confused.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-14-2011 01:36 PM

I def remember watching this now because I made a comment about how Ken Shamrock was JACKED

Yup, I did Nitro 99 earlier this year and the first video was a recap of the night before with nash and Goldberg and it was a joke.

However, watch Souled Out '97 and the opening video to that. It was brilliant... Then they went back to their same old shit. The nWo promos were still awesome though.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-14-2011 03:14 PM

The set was fucking awesome too. And the ring announcer. Shame most of the matches sucked, bar the ladder match.

Next 2 Legends roundtables are taped this Wednesday, panel is JR, Michael Hayes, Piper and DDP, hosted by Mean Gene. Hot stuff.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-14-2011 04:00 PM

Love how even after his match with Warrior, JR is still saying "NO-ONE GETS UP FROM THE PEDIGREE".

lol i kinda enjoyed that one just a bit

Rammsteinmad 10-14-2011 04:55 PM

I like the 'running commentary' behind these comics... but they're clearly trying to be funny about it... and I just don't find them funny. :-\

Xero 10-14-2011 05:34 PM

Dave Lagana has left ROH and has been hired as a writer for TNA.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-14-2011 05:35 PM

Who was it that was trying to argue that those Botched Spot comics weren't trying to be funny?

The Macrem 10-14-2011 05:40 PM

What's happened in wrestling in the last two years or so?

Pretty sure someone a few pages back said these comics weren't funny (someone other than me) and someone else replied about how they're not always meant to be funny. Or something along those lines.
