Hugo Savinovich, who was the Spanish voice of WWE for many, many years as well as the voice of pro wrestling in Puerto Rico in the 1980s for the WWC, announced last night that he was retiring from WWE and departing the company. Savinovich posted the following video online thanking the company and the fans:

WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco suffered a minor stroke last night, according to Jim Ross, who asked that fans keep Brisco in their prayers via Twitter.

Brisco, who currently works as a talent scout for WWE, suffered several strokes a few years back, ending his long run as a WWE road agent.

I was going to post it but I didn't think it was legit.

Mostly because it's got the Sky Box Office logo on it and the start time as 1am and the WWE never do that on their posters. :-\

There is another TLC poster out there claiming to be official. It has Randy Orton on it and a different TLC logo. But all the legal mumbo-jumbo that's at the bottom of the poster has "© 2009 WWE, Inc. All Rights Reserved" so it's obviously just a fan made poster.

WWE have applied to register two new trademarks - "Ryback" and "Avalanche".

Ryback looks to be a name for a new or existing character, while the description for Avalanche reads - "Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of a wrestling club; Entertainment services, namely, organizing and conducting an array of athletic events rendered live and recorded for the purpose of distribution through broadcast media; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a wrestler; Entertainment services, namely, providing information by means of a global computer network in the fields of celebrities, entertainment, and popular culture."

Howard Cohen sent the following follow-up....Ryback was a name used by the current Skip Sheffield while in WWE developmental prior to being given the Sheffield name and cowboy gimmick.

Should be given a gimmick where he eats all the time.
