Solskjaer didn't have to come back from a broken leg, dislocated ankle and knee ligament damage though :$

LK 02-18-2006 03:33 PM

Best of luck to Smith for his recovery.

As for the game it was fucking rubbish. My faith in football has taken a real pounding today.

toxic rooster 02-18-2006 05:05 PM

I'm pretty glad I looked away as that happened :$

Wengerland 02-19-2006 07:18 AM

We are so much better under Rob Kelly it's untrue, superb on Tuesday against the sheep and the spirit shown yesterday was like the O'Neill days :'(

Quality atmosphere at both games too, Leeds bought loads and were loud in the first half but went quiet when they realised they were offering nothing against 10 men.

Rob Ban Fan 02-19-2006 08:41 AM

Mido is well a diving little arab bastard. I hate him so much.

I hope when Spurs play Bolton next, him and Diouf run into eachother and explode.

Ogen 02-19-2006 05:59 PM

Jesus we're just depressing to watch fecking awful today

packt up 02-19-2006 06:05 PM

Yeah Ogen you were absolutely terrible today. Shold have been about 6-0. Good take by Baros though.

Cactus Sid 02-19-2006 06:17 PM

Great finish that from Baros, totally undeserved mind

City were quality today and Villa were just woeful, would rather not draw City in the next round unless it was Anfield.

All Premiership teams in the Quarter-Finals. I'd fancy us to beat any of them at home, so I'm kinda hoping for Chelsea. We gotta play them sometime, may as well be now.

Cactus Sid 02-20-2006 08:30 AM

Charlton vs Middlesbrough

Aston Villa/Man City vs Bolton/West Ham

Chelsea vs Newcastle United

Birmingham vs Liverpool

Excellent draw for us

packt up 02-20-2006 09:28 AM

LAME

Oh well trophyless again.

Ogen 02-20-2006 02:58 PM

If we get by City which we won't if we play like that again then its the best draw there really apart from Boro

I dunno if anyone else saw the story in the News of the World on sunday. Theres another player involved but i dunno who he is.

The story was a bit much, even for the News of the World. They kept using words like "sick" and "perverted". Hardly encouraging tolerance :|

The News of the World quite clearly don't want England to have a chance at the World Cup this summer. No other country's media would try and destablize their national team like they have done. First all that shite with Sven, now outing players. Scum paper.

Mr. Monday Morning 02-21-2006 07:46 AM

And right after Spurs told the fans to stop the gay chants. Oh deary me.

Who's the one on the left btw? Or is that the other player you dunno :$

Rob 02-21-2006 12:34 PM

The bloke on the left is some DJ.

As for the media fucking up England's world cup chances, don't blame them, blame the players. If Ashley Cole wasn't paying people 5k to suck his cock, the papers wouldn't be reporting shit like this. You are better off without the big queer anyway.

And the "other" player is Jermaine Pennant. I thought it would be Dyer personally.

Mr. Monday Morning 02-21-2006 01:13 PM

How exactly are we better off without Cole? Wayne Bridge? Phil Neville? Paul Konchesky? Get the fuck out of here.

Rob Ban Fan 02-21-2006 01:23 PM

Yeah, what Adam said :$

If Ashley Cole likes paying £5,000 for some guy to suck his dick, and having sex with his mobile phone, then thats his business :$ I'd rather not have Wayne Bridge or Phil Neville covering for him.

Ogen 02-21-2006 02:11 PM

Cole? Bollocks I'm off to hunt on this he can't be gay what about my Tweedy :(

Talent is unqustionable. If you want players who bring this baggage then that's up to you. Don't expect people not to want to comment on them though.

Mr. Monday Morning 02-21-2006 04:43 PM

He can be a herpes-riddled transvestite for all I care as long as we win

toxic rooster 02-21-2006 04:53 PM

What a result for my former boys. 0-1 in the Bernabeu.

I couldn't sleep, so I decided to watch this game. For the life of me, I can't remember Reyes ever having so much pace. It's hard to pick a player who had a bad game today; Henry, Fabregas and Ljungberg shone, Gilberto made an absolute nuisance of himself despite touching the ball about twice, Lehmann was huge and never looked like being beaten, Eboue was great, too.

I was worried about a snorefest when I saw the 4-5-1, but Arsenal imposed themselves right from the word go.

Real's defence looked very awkward at times, and again only made it harder for themselves by constantly being caught forward and giving the ball away in dangerous positions.

Arsenal's defence looked shaky at times too, especially to the long ball to Beckham they dealt with a few times, but it didn't cost them so credit for that.

Rob 02-21-2006 05:18 PM

Fair play to the Arse. They did very well and I totally didn't expect them to play this well.

Liverpool = :rofl:

Y3J 02-21-2006 08:46 PM

Well anyone can play that well against a rubbish defense like Real's especially as Woodgate was injured. I've seen them when Woodgate plays fit (not that often) and they are much more solid and don't look confused all the time.

How many British players did Arsenal have on the team again? Oh yeah NONE. Real had more that were injured. Talk about a Rest of the World vs Rest of the World match.

PS - I really hate Arsenal by the way :)

The Arse were amazing from what I heard (divided pub) but we were just shite, I don't care the spin everyone is putting on it, we did NOTHING.

We spent the first half hoofing the ball up to nothing and creating NO chances what so ever. Second half we got into the positions, but then smacked crosses straight at the keeper. At least when Cisse came on we looked sort of threatening, but that was nothing. We needed Gerrard for the spark. When Sissoko went off we were in real trouble. Hamann is a great player, but he slows the game down way too much and we needed tempo.

We are gonna struggle in the second leg. We're gonna need Crouch to play to try and take Luisao out of the game and drop Luis Garcia, because he was utter shite.

yianni 02-22-2006 11:29 AM

Australia's first ever game in the Asian Confederation, for the Asian Cup 2007 qualifiers. Due to the best players not being available as it's not a FIFA international date a second-string side has taken to the field against Bahrain over there and it's currently 1-0 to them at half time. Pretty shit game. Still it's an important occassion for Australian football.

Come on lads just score a goal in the 2nd half farken!

Ogen 02-22-2006 06:48 PM

I've no idea what score that finished but if you lost to Bahrain its a joke you've made the world cup.

i think I'm in love with Messi he just oozes class. Getting Del Horno sent off was great too and before anyone says he shouldn't have went he should have been booked earlier for going through Messis knee its all karma baby . Ronaldinho quiet as fuck, but still looked dangerous all match and Jose imploding after the match was quality to watch

Danny Electric 02-22-2006 06:57 PM

Looked like some good games tonight, I still see us dicking Benfica. They've only got Mowgli up front.

1. Australia had only 2 of their players from their world cup qualifier against Uruguay playing last night

2. Australia won 3-1 anyway

so :p

BCWWF 02-22-2006 11:14 PM

is Benefica a Portuguese team? I was trying to figure it out

toxic rooster 02-23-2006 12:55 AM

who cares how many british players we had - for a start we are an english club so we have no reason to play scottish welsh and irish players any more than celtic, rhyl or cork have to pick english ones. secondly we aren't there to forward the cause of the england national team. we are there to do the best for arsenal. if in doing that we can help the england team then fine but we don't owe them anything. the fact of the matter is that when on form we have 2 england regulars playing for us and have just signed probably the most promising youngster since rooney. most of the rest of the english players that have been around the club for the last 5/6 years have simply not been good enough to make the grade

Sorry but Matt Upson became an England international when he left. Jermaine Pennant and Jerome Thomas could have done something too but they weren't given oppotunities to prove themselves. Stuart Taylor wasn't doing too bad either before he got sold. The only English players who definately couldn't cut the mustard were Richard Wright and Francis Jeffers. Ryan Smith will probably be shipped off before he gets his chance too.

And the British players thing does make a difference when you lot are crying about how other British teams don't follow you in Europe.

Rob Ban Fan 02-24-2006 01:22 PM

To be fair Upson has been shite this season, Thomas only makes the bench for Charlton really and Jermaine Pennant fucked it up for himself by turning up late all the time, getting pissed, crashing a car he wasn't allowed to drive and going to prison. :$

To be fair to Wenger, he gives youngsters a chance. Just none of the successful ones thus far have been English.

packt up 02-24-2006 02:34 PM

I'm with you RBF. Upson really isn't up to much at all to be honest. Thomas I have been impressed with whenever I see but only in fits and bursts. Jermaine Pennant is a douchebag. A talented douchebag but one nonetheless.

In other news, God Mark Delaney is such a fucking whingebag. Particularly for such an average player.

Mr. Monday Morning 02-25-2006 08:16 AM

David Bentley is so shite everyone forgot him

Rob Ban Fan 02-25-2006 09:43 AM

a centre back at right back, a striker at centre back, a left winger at left back and a centre midfielder on the right wing.

Just the four players out of position today then.

Toddy left on the bench AGAIN along with D'Alessandro, our only player likely to make anything happen.

Fuck off Judas.

Mr. Monday Morning 02-25-2006 02:58 PM

COME ON

packt up 02-25-2006 03:16 PM

Good decent performance by Newcastle today :) Was really quite happy for once. Solano sheer class for his second. How the fuck Scott Parker isn't in the England squad I'll never know the man is fantastic and a million times better than Jenas.

diothoir 02-25-2006 04:34 PM

Leeds

Game in hand and still a match with Sheff Utd left. Maybe we could sneak 2nd yet.

Danny Electric 02-25-2006 04:35 PM

I can see you doing it and fair play to you after all that shit that hapened.

Mr. Monday Morning 02-25-2006 06:18 PM

We will knock Leeds out of the playoffs when Paul Butler scores like 5 own goals and then at the end takes off his shirt to reveal a Wolves shirt underneath
