That's a huge win for the Players. Vilma would be a hero to them.

Vilma should push forward with the suit. such a quick and hefty reduction in his suspension should help any halfwit lawyer to get the money outta Goddell.

RP 08-06-2012 11:04 AM

He should demand the coaches get half off too

Supreme Olajuwon 08-06-2012 01:23 PM

what's half off an indefinite suspension

I read the post then looked at the avatar.

I would push for reinstatement at the end of this season.

A 51% chance of reinstatement?

Emperor Smeat 08-06-2012 05:49 PM

Seahawks currently in negotiations for Terrell Owens after he had a good workout for the team.

Jets had a pretty large brawl during training camp to the point of almost come close to spilling out to the fans section of the practice field. Almost had a second brawl occurring near the end of practice but was defused quickly.

TO to Seattle is awesome. He will be a producer there. He will make the receiving corps better too. He may divide the locker room but he'll be there on the field

Emperor Smeat 08-07-2012 12:18 AM

Pats and Saints going to hold a joint practice for this week's training camp leading into their preseason game mostly for 2 reasons.

Belichick is heading to Andy Reid's son funeral and might not be back in time for the preseason game while the Saints have asked for some help with their preparations due to the shortage of experience on their coaching staff.

SammyG 08-07-2012 12:25 AM

lol T.O. is a Seahawk. I don't expect him to even make the team

Supreme Olajuwon 08-07-2012 12:28 AM

Best way to ease a new QB into a new system as he becomes the starter for the first time in his career is obviously to sign TO.

RP 08-07-2012 12:45 AM

Its the only way

Krimzon7 08-07-2012 12:56 AM

Trial by fire. Being a Bengal Fan, I remember that in TO's last season in the NFL, he led the team in receiving and touchdowns. He was the go to target. He tore an ACL and just ran a 4.45 40 yard dash.

He can make a receiving corps better with his experience. I think that he's humbled a great deal. He wasn't really a cancer in the Natti, we had chad johnson for that. I believe in Terrell Owens.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-07-2012 12:59 AM

That's true. He was well behaved in Cincy. But I'm pretty sure Chad balanced him out. Plus they threw all the time that year. Pretty sure Seattle's gonna give the ball to Lynch a LOT this season.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-07-2012 01:03 AM

Trying to decide if I want to go watch Tebow on Friday. Tickets on Stubhub are going for $5.

SammyG 08-07-2012 01:17 AM

Worth it

You should go. How often do you get to be that close to Jesus Tebow?

Yes, Lynch will get a great deal of action, after he serves that suspension. Even with that, you have to believe that Carrol will want to give that play action pass a lot of love.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-07-2012 01:24 AM

I do have to say, of all the overblown nonsense stories that ESPN & Co. have tried to shove down our throats over the years, the Tebow story has maintained my interest. I don't know why.

he's charismatic and cheesy. He's not supposed to win, but he always does. It's not ESPN that makes you interested, it's the fact that he's a walking paradox. He's a literal dichotomy of what a Quarterback should be and what a leader is.

I've tried to hate him for four years when he was at UF and was killing my beloved Georgia Bulldogs. But I just can't the kid is a pure winner and I relate to winners.

Fuck I can't wait for Friday. Even if it is a meaningless preseason game, there's just something about seeing the Giants for the first time after the longass NFL offseason.

I'll be at that game and get to watch Eli and Cruz play for all of 1 drive and then sit on the bench!

I am however looking forward to seeing how Chad Henne, Rashard Jennings, and Carson Palmer's little brother play though. :y:

Innovator 08-07-2012 10:35 AM

I want to imagine the Jets brawl at camp breaking down into Sanchez and Tebow squaring off in the middle of a brawl, Hollywoodesque.

Innovator 08-07-2012 10:35 AM

I want to see which receiver will step up for the third receiver spot

Cromartie. Oh wait, he's the 2nd best WR on the team according to him.

I'd say Hixon is the early favorite as long as he stays healthy. The 3rd receiver spot is practically a starting spot with the Giants' offensive scheme, so I don't see Coughlin rushing a rookie into the spot unless he busts out with some huge plays in preseason.

Triple Naitch 08-08-2012 10:43 AM

Thought Hard Knocks was gonna be OnDemand ASAP, but it's not. Gotta wait til tonight to watch it.

CSL 08-09-2012 04:13 PM

saw Hard Knocks as well as some "Where Are They Now" ep that I think aired last year in place of an actual season that I had no idea existed, pumped for "football" now

Triple Naitch 08-09-2012 05:40 PM

Damn @ Ryan Tannehill's wife.

Innovator 08-09-2012 05:42 PM

FOOTBALL

Triple Naitch 08-09-2012 06:58 PM

Also didn't realize that local legend Pat Devlin is the #4 QB for Miami. Dude was an absolute beast in high school. Shattered all of Joe Namath's state records. Was all set to go to the U before Coker got fired.

Krimzon7 08-09-2012 08:27 PM

Well, Denver takes the field tonight, Peyton Manning will be on the field for the first time in a long time. I get the feeling that Tim Tebow's curse will make it's debut tonight too.
