While they want fans to vote the maximum number of times per day, I don't think they anticipated one team stuffing the ballot box to this degree. And if 8 Royals start the ASG it'll be the lowest rated ASG ever. This isn't what the average fan wants - it's what one city wants.
Some of the leads are unfathomable though. They still do paper ballots on top of everything else. Maybe Kaufman Stadium is handing out pre-marked ballots. That's what happened in 1957 with the Reds when their entire lineup got voted in. |
No rational person believes that Hosmer, Moustakas, Infante, or Morales should be starting over Cabrera, Donaldson, Altuve, or Cruz. Its understood that there will be one or two "snubs" in the lineup every year but those all seem pretty egregious.
Interested in seeing if MLB launches an investigation of some sort. Or if there's a mysterious swing in the votes at the last minute kinda like how David Wright wound up getting like a million votes in an hour to save MLB the embarassment of having Eric Sogard win that stupid "Face of MLB" contest a couple years ago. |
Brandon Moss hit his 100th home run in Kansas City in the Indians bullpen. Cleveland's relievers held the ball for "ransom" and they wanted a ton of Apple stuff.
Apple CEO Tim Cook is paying the "ransom". https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CGjA8nWUgAEmaPd.jpg |

Catcher is probably the position I would take as the worst voting since Perez has been basically all defense and thats about it. Mccann and Martin have been comparable defensively and have had much better offensive years. |
While Hosmer, Moustakas, and even Morales (mainly because there are always 2 DHs) certainly have cases for bench spots, I'd be hard pressed to say they should be starting over the guys who are 1st, 2nd, and 5th in the league in slugging. I'd also say Prince Fielder may have a better case than Hosmer although Hosmer is still good.
I'm actually okay with Perez going. His offensive numbers are respectable for a catcher, but defense is clearly the #1 priority at that spot. Definitely hope Vogt makes the bench though. |
Draft is today. Terrified the D'Backs are going to get cute with the #1 overall.
|
The Jays offence is ridiculous
|
Lol Blow Jays. Longest playoff drought in baseball.

lol the Mets are 3 outs away from getting no-hit by Chris Heston. in their own ballpark. with more Giants than Mets fans in the building.
this lineup might be the worst they've sent out there on a regular basis since the early 90s. |
Encarnacion with a walk off home run!

lol Heston finishes off the no-hitter, 3 punchouts looking in the 9th. jesus christ the Mets offense is terribad.
|
Free pizza..
|
The Mets swung at the first pitch in like 80% of their ABs through the first 8 innings. But hey, let's get selective in the 9th when the ump is clearly going to give anything close to the pitcher.

Bam, Jays sweep the Marlins
|
Os can sweep the red Sox tomorrow which will be good

Torii Hunter had a fucking meltdown tonight |
George Springer went 5-5 in a game where Houston had 7 hits total and lost 4-1... baseball is quirky
|
Matt Harvey has allowed 8 HR in his last 20 innings. He's still hitting high 90s with his fastball but his command has been all kinds of off these last few starts. Hopefully it's just a bad stretch. Going to see him pitch against the Jays on Monday.
|
For comparison, this recent stretch has ballooned Harvey to 12 HR allowed in 12 starts this year.
He allowed 12 HR total in his first 36 starts between 2012-13. |
 @ morons angry w/ Torii Hunter
he is the best let him strip wherever he wants hot fudge |
Phillies trying to trade away Jonathan Papelbon but have a big problem of nobody being interested unless Phillies were to sweeten the deal a lot more than they want to.
Came close to getting a deal done with the Blue Jays but would have required Phillies to eat almost the whole salary to get done. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/13...athan-papelbon |
MLB network available fully online as a stream now I guess
Would probably be a bigger deal if MLB TV wasn't already the best thing on the planet But cool anyway |
Swčeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

:-\ Cherrington struck out big so far this season. Pitching is worse than expected while the big hope of the bats bailing them out a lot barely happens.
Whole division right now is almost opposite of what experts predicted for the season. Yanks and TB were expected to struggle the most and be at the bottom while Red Sox and Os or Jays were supposed to do decent and be at the top. |

Streaming like that usually needs a cable ID and password to link to watch. Fuck cable.
|
Cano has sucked a fat dick so far this season. .238/2/19 and riding the pine on my fantasy team. Kolten Wong has gotten me through the early part of the season but I still need Cano to get his shit together.

For a "larf" I tried signing into the MLB Network from my At Bat app and it asked me to input my cable company credentials. Oh well. We'll always have MLB.tv (which is a far superior product anyway) |
Mlb.tv is awesome. In fact if mlb.tv was a pair of tits it would be 70s tits
|
Speaking of tits, can't wait to see JV stop sucking on those huge titties and get his ass on the mound tomorrow. Woo!
|
Shits is more like it for JV.
|
JV will be the reason the Tigers will win the division again this year. Hopefully he dumps that hose bag. He should just pick up prostitutes in Detroit. I hear Pickles on McNichols is a good one.
|
I can just feel that Mason Williams is going to be a thorn in the Os side for a long time
|
Felix Hernandez looked like a fucking tire fire out there tonight. 1 out recorded, 8 runs given up. ERA for the game 216.00 WHIP 21.00
|
:| Red Sox blew an 8-1 lead tonight against the Jays.
11-8 Jays in the 7th right now. Pitching has been comically bad this season. Nevermind its now 13-8. |
The Jays offence is insane.
They currently lead the league with 325 runs scored. The second place team has 275. |
