Don't get me wrong. The game was tight, and had a lot of suspense. But it wasn't exciting to watch. Bruins vs Lightning games were more exciting. Haven't followed Vancouver at all this year though.

Granted everyone outside of the knuckle draggers in Philadelphia is aware Carcillo is a little shit and his word doesn't hold much weight. However, Savard had previously been accused of biting & was suspended for it while he played for Atlanta so it wouldn't have been out of the question for Carcillo to be telling the truth. I don't recall anyone coming out of the woodwork for Savvy to be suspended so I think it's slightly hypocritical for B's fans to do so when they're the victim.

Burrows did get a double minor. Fines are useless. $2500 to these guys is like taking a nickel out of your pocket.
Like I said earlier, if this were the regular season, Burrows would and should have been suspended. In the finals, a suspension should happen if the action results in an injury. |
I don't care about the amount, the fact that the league would be handing down a fine of any kind is a symbol of punishment and acknowledgment that what he did was wrong.

I'm a Canucks fan and really dig Burrows, but that biting was ridiculous. I don't want him suspended because it hurts the Canucks chances at fielding their very best line up, but had he been suspended, it would have been justifiable. He got away with one, IMO

Just so everybody's happy I will say that Bruins once again beat themselves. Sloppy play killed them because the Canucks capitalized on mistakes.

Lapierre is solid. He gets under the skin of opposing players(and fans apparently) He's physical, has an offensive upside, and is responsible in his own end.
He's not going to score 30 goals a year, or get 100 points, but he has 15 goal/40 points potential. It's your loss if you wouldn't want a player like that on your team. |
