Too lazy to find the Gaudin quotes but those were the best. He's better than every Toronto starter not named Halladay or Lilly

ct2k 08-02-2006 01:12 PM

Thing is thats probably only 1/4 of the posts he's made blowing the Jays and dumping on the Yanks and Sox.

DominateR 08-02-2006 03:04 PM

Damn, out of all the things being talked about right now in here, not a single one mentions how many highlights the Detroit Tigers gave to FSN, ESPN, etc. last night:

* Carlos Guillen hits for his first career cycle, also the Tigers 1st cycle since 6/8/1, and their first against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays ever. Guillen becomes just the 10th Tiger to ever hit for the cycle.

* Rookie Justin Verlander is now 14-0 after last night's exciting victory (1 year and the guy comes in and thinks he owns the city! lol :p)

* Sean Casey picked up his first big league HR, as well as Brent Clevelen picked up his first AND second HR's in the big leagues. Welcome aboard, boys!

* Final Score was 10-4, with 10 runs on 18 hits and NO ERRORS(!) for Detroit, to Tampa Bay's 4 runs on 10 hits, no errors.

So Detroit fans have a lot to celebrate right now, not to mention they picked up win # 71, which is the same amount of wins as last year, and they are pretty much guaranteed to surpass that, I'd say by about 2 or 3 dozen games.

Dragon 08-02-2006 03:21 PM

Verlander isn't 14-0 (14-4) and Sean Casey has hit home runs before I would have to think. (unless you're just talking about for the Tigers)

The Miz 08-02-2006 03:37 PM

Yeah and I'm pretty sure the Tigers last cycle wasn't all the way back in the year 1

ct2k 08-02-2006 04:03 PM

Sean Casey hit his share of home-runs for the Reds if i remember correctly

yes, when actual Tigers were playing the game

The Miz 08-02-2006 07:32 PM

Lowe-Soriano-Putz = greatest bullpen of all time. That's the only positive thing I will say about the Mariners the rest of the year

FakeLaser 08-02-2006 08:34 PM

3 walks this inning? What the hell are you doing Wang?

The Miz 08-02-2006 08:41 PM

Remember that time Harden faced Wang. I chuckled

Ruby 08-02-2006 09:50 PM

I don't think AJ Burnett is hurt.

Boomer 08-02-2006 10:42 PM

The Braves have quite an 8th 9th inning bullpen combo thanks to JS. I hope it stays this way.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-02-2006 11:27 PM

NICE pretty hot another walk off. Thought it was gonna be a walk off grandslam but it was off the Monster. Only saw the 9th inning since I just got home from work but nice thing to come home to.

Dragon 08-02-2006 11:33 PM

Great game by Wang. Eight scoreless innings and 18 straight scoreless innings now. He is up there with Moose as the most consistent this year in the rotation.

Dragon 08-02-2006 11:34 PM

LOL, wow. Knew Carmona would give up that game. Didn't he blow the game like 2 days ago or something to Boston? Maybe a couple days before but I know he just blew a game.

The Miz 08-02-2006 11:46 PM

jays aren't gonna fade.

The Miz 08-02-2006 11:48 PM

LOL @ Jeff Weaver getting shelled in the crap league. Now what's his excuse.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-02-2006 11:53 PM

lol Dennis Eckersley is the man, after the game, he said how the Indians closer waspitching Doug Mirabelli like he was Babe Ruth in the bottom of the 9th.

Dragon 08-02-2006 11:53 PM

Looks like Utley will have one more chance today to extend his hitting streak.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-02-2006 11:56 PM

ROFL still watching the post game show, Eckersley is the greatest;

What is this guy doing? I guess the scouting report is to run on Coco Crip? He was out by a mile, he tags up at 2nd on a pop fly to center and Coco hits the cut off man. Seriously what was he thinking? You got a slow footed catcher trying to take 3rd on a pop fly with no outs, thats terrible baseball

Dragon 08-02-2006 11:57 PM

Crazy, beats out the throw to first on a bouncer to the pitcher. The pitcher looked the runner back at third and then threw to first too late, he was flying down the line though.

McLegend 08-02-2006 11:59 PM

WTF They called it a fielders Choice.

Talking about Chase Utley btw.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-03-2006 12:00 AM

Thats weak

Watch him get another 33 game streak now.

Dragon 08-03-2006 12:01 AM

They keep changing the call. The first had it up as a hit and the total hits for the Phils was 15, then they take it down and it was at 14. Then Ryan Howard gets a hit next and it goes up to 16 again. Did they actually count it as a hit or no?

McLegend 08-03-2006 12:01 AM

Nah They changed it back to a hit. So all is good right now.

Dragon 08-03-2006 12:02 AM

They just said he was awarded an infield hit.

The Miz 08-03-2006 12:05 AM

I'm not in America right now so I've been missing alot of baseball/Red Sox TV coverage but it seems like Utley isn't getting a lot of media attention for this? They were all over Rollins earlier this year.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-03-2006 12:07 AM

Yeah probably the East Coast bias

The Miz 08-03-2006 12:08 AM

When using that joke you could at least change it up and be creative in its presentation. Just a suggestion

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-03-2006 12:17 AM

Nah my favorite team is the Boston Red Sox I can do whatever I want

The Miz 08-03-2006 12:22 AM

It sucks because you're actually funny and I know you can do better. Why you picked that statement to make fun of me for I don't really get since you agreed with me about big stories the last few years not getting as much coverage due to being on the west coast. It wouldn't take alot of searching to find something stupider that I said, "east-coast bias" is weaksauce

The Miz 08-03-2006 12:22 AM

*wekasauce

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-03-2006 12:27 AM

I just think its funny because I don't think the bias has anything to do with location, i'll agree there is some type of bias but I don't think its like east coast teams recieve way more attention than west coast teams, but maybe I am just a disgruntled college football fan since USC and Pete Carroll has been shoved down my throat for the last few years

lol they were just interviewing Manny Delcarmen in the clubhouse and you could clearly hearly the word nigga said like 3 times in a Ludacris song, I'd put money on it that the radio was in Ramirez's locker

The Miz 08-03-2006 12:31 AM

You don't notice it because you live in Boston, do you think the thousands of people from Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, LA, Phoenix etc. are just making it up? I don't even talk about the "coast" thing, that's BCWWF, just that the Red Sox and Yankees get ridiculous amounts of unnecessary coverage and then there's a 30 second clip of an A's/Angels game who are within a game of eachother for first place. And you know what sTiMa34, if you don't agree, let's see what the greatest superstar in pro wrestling history has to say about it

THE YETI 08-03-2006 12:32 AM

*REVERSE BEARHUG TO STIMA34*

The Miz 08-03-2006 12:32 AM

OMFG LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THE YETI

DaveWadding 08-03-2006 12:37 AM

OH MY GOD IT'S THE YET-AY!

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-03-2006 12:39 AM

Oh yeah thats what I mean though, they are probably on TV all the time but I don't think it is beacuse of location. Having no coverage about Utley pretty much proves that as well. Baseball is pretty gay in that regard though, I don't really notice anything like this in other sports. (Except for USC, we get it, Reggie Bush is really good)

Some guy claimed the East Coast bias somehow made the Steelers the Superbowl champs (Might have actually been right here, ON TPWW!!!! WOO) but that guy probably didn't watch too much NFL that year, refs making terrible calls all season.
