The NFL admitted they blew the call to end the game though

Quote:

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The NFL acknowledged an officiating mistake cost the Baltimore Ravens a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

League spokesman Michael Signora said the Jacksonville Jaguars should've been penalized for a false start on their final play from scrimmage, which would've resulted in a 10-second runoff and a 20-19 victory for the Ravens.
Instead, the Jaguars were allowed to snap the ball and Elvis Dumervil was flagged for a facemask of quarterback Blake Bortles. Jason Myers then kicked a game-winning 53-yard field goal with no time remaining for a controversial, 22-20 win for the Jaguars.

"The correct call in this case would have been to penalize the offense for a false start because all 11 players were not set, and whistle to stop the play," Signora said. "The ensuing 10-second runoff should have ended the game."
I dont understand why they coukdnt just let the Ravens win instead of sticking with the wrong call

Probably the rare time where both sides would have been better off not doing anything instead.

Eagles have been doing somewhat well despite how bad Bradford has been at times this season and looks like his injury bug is back. Rams seem to be the same regardless who is their QB and really over-estimated how good Foles would be in their system.

McLegend 11-16-2015 08:36 PM

Yeah, but The Eagles gave up a 2nd round pick for Bradford.

I still think The Rams are winning this trade so far.

Cowboys downplaying reports of Greg Hardy becoming a growing lockeroom problem with one of the biggest issues being him constantly missing or being late to meetings.

The way Jason Garrett spoke about it recently seemed like he wants Hardy gone but can't because of management.

Sepholio 11-17-2015 03:16 PM

Greg Hardy is a disgusting person for what he did to his ex; however he shouldn't lose his entire career for it, especially considering the legal outcome of the situation.

But he should lose his job for his conduct being detrimental to the team.

It's like people in the media can't discern any other reason to terminate him other than OMG DID YOU SEE THOSE PICTURES! If you want him gone, it's because of that, and you're judgemental and don't believe in second chances. If you don't want him gone, then your heartless and unsympathetic to women. Can't people want him gone because he's a bad employee?

Yeup but Cowboys defended it by saying it was more of the typical losing streak venting that happens than anything malicious. According to those around him, he was yelling at how bad everyone was playing right after they gave up a really bad play.

Rift between Peyton Manning and the Bronocs rumored to be growing since his benching last week. Rift started way before when the team hired Gary Kubiak as coach instead of Manning's preferred choice of Adam Gase.

Biggest issue the team has is Manning not willing to offer any help to Brock Osweiler to prepare him better for the game tomorrow. Might not even help Osweiler for future games either.

Never got that vibe during his Indy days.

49ers dysfunction continues as they put Colin Kaepernick on Injured Reserve list. Thus ending his season.

Nobody knows what the "injury" is, however.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-22-2015 03:59 PM

That only took like 2 goal line drives to do that. If they went for the FG the last time they'd have just won the game.

I see it as the coach trying to discipline someone they don't like and make an example out of him to deter everyone from their shitty record and the fact they are the Cleveland Browns. It's very political looking, Josh McCown must be in on this, never trusted the dude. He looks like Ivan Drago too much

if he was on a winning team and he got drunk before a game I'd bench him, not when he's on a jobber team like the Browns. It's sad cause they looked to be turning a corner this year and continue to juggle QBs, Denver will fall too with that crap. They should be smart enough to let Peyton come back straight up after recovery. Don't make that mistake dammit

road doggy dogg 11-25-2015 02:09 PM

Honestly I think it's in Cleveland's best interests to play him as much as they can this season and make a definitive move next year. Either Manziel's your guy or he's not. Find out this year and then either stick with him next year or cut bait

McLegend 11-26-2015 12:27 PM

I'm going all in on this game. Eagles can do this.

road doggy dogg 11-26-2015 01:07 PM

Chip Kelly sucks

Murray is such a bad fit for that offense

McLegend 11-26-2015 03:04 PM

Eagles can't do this..

Chip Kelly won't last the year. The entire team is entirely over matched.

Evil Vito 11-26-2015 06:17 PM

Brett Favre, Terrell Owens, and Alan Faneca are the first-timers among the 25 Modern Era HOF finalists revealed this week.

Favre is mortal lock to go in on the first ballot. Faneca will probably need to wait a few years since guards seldom go in right away. Owens' big issue is that there is a backlog of WRs waiting to go in. It's started to clear up recently (Cris Carter 2013, Andre Reed 2014, Tim Brown last year) but there still other guys waiting.

Favre will be the first QB enshrinee since 2006, and there's a very good chance at Ken Stabler being elected by the Seniors Committee too. Really can't see 3 QBs going in during the same year, so Warner will need to wait at least another year. I do see Orlando Pace going in to represent the Greatest Show on Turf, and was pretty shocked he wasn't a first ballot guy last year.

If Pace goes in I'm not sure about Torry Holt and/or Isaac Bruce going in at the same time. Probably will end up being Marvin Harrison's year as the voters are strongly encouraged to not factor in off-field stuff. Bound to make for an awkward speech though, which is why Tony Dungy might go in at the same time even if the voters try to elect people from different markets. I'd be surprised to not see a defensive player elected as well, so it might be the year for Kevin Greene to go in as a 10-time finalist.

Eddie DeBartolo Jr. was nominated in the "Contributors" category. It's just a straight up yes or no vote for him and he needs 80% support. Owner of 5 Super Bowl winning teams that had loads of legends on them, and the announcement is happening in San Francisco. Yeah, he's going in.

ClockShot 11-26-2015 06:23 PM

Wow. Eagles got their clocks cleaned. These personnel moves Detroit made a few weeks back made a big time difference it seems.

I'm getting the same vibe, Legend. I think Chip Kelly and the Oregon offense is out after the season. Doesn't work with anybody on that team.

Ruien 11-26-2015 06:39 PM

I had faith in Chip too. Arg.

Emperor Smeat 11-26-2015 06:59 PM

Why did the Eagles give Chip Kelly GM powers to begin with?

Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll are the only other coaches with GM powers but both either had prior NFL experience or shared power with someone else for a while to build the teams.

McLegend 11-26-2015 08:47 PM

That's a good question, Smelly Meatball. Good question indeed.

Evil Vito 11-26-2015 10:27 PM

Evil Vito 11-26-2015 10:28 PM

seeing that Favre retirement ceremony...always weird to realize how different things may have gone for the franchise had Favre told the Packers from the get-go that he wanted to play in 2008.

Had that happened...Rodgers never gets his chance, his rookie deal expires, he goes somewhere else in 2009 and thrives and the Packers franchise probably goes through an extended rebuilding period.

However Chip Kelly had 2 years of NFL experience when he was given GM duty. It wasn't a good idea.

There is way too many injuries in NFL now more then ever it seems even though there has been so much precaution taken with hitting.

I think the lack of practice has caused more injuries then there would have been with more practice.

I have no data to back this claim up, but I feel like I'm on to something.

Ruien 11-29-2015 02:48 PM
