Created a character. Server crashed, didn't save.

Created another character. Game told me servers are down and character would not save. That's fine. Spent about 30mins with some randoms.

Now on another character. Don't know if it will save or not. All I know is the first mission won't load and I most likely have to start over again.

Not only can't I access the cloud to play online or make a persistent character, when I came back all my guns were gone.

I love how its experiencing these issues... as if Rockstar didn't know how busy it would be...

Well I just mean is it just something that they never seem to anticipate? Or is it literally impossible to set up the online without having it overrun immediately... I'm not that tech-savvy so I'm just curious

I don't think they beta tested this with users at all. They said themselves they would have day one issues.

Actually, you can insult people as Michael or Franklin, you just have to get the first couple of comments out of the way (usually a generic greeting, such as hey, what’s up, how are you), and usually from the 3rd one on, when you focus on any civilian you will usually say something insulting. It resets with each new person you talk to, though.

Tried to hang with my GSF homies as Franklin and I accidentally insulted them.

Servers equal money. Companies will always go cheap.

What is surprising (if only a little) is that they couldn't even keep the Social Club up pre-launch.

More problematic because things like your camera are tied to it so there were offline missions you got stuck on if the online features were down. Online features for an online game that wasn't online yet.

Oh, cool thing happened to me whilst last playing. Wasn’t even a heist (the most I will say is it was a Strangers & Freaks end-quest), and in one swoop, I managed to net Michael a nice, tidy little $2.1M payoff all to himself. :cool:

The girl you ran over in the four wheeler is a good driver and takes a very low cut.
One thing I don't like about the game is that if you miss a call or ignore it they never call back.

I can't even get past the race in online gets stuck on launching session. Even tried restarting in a solo session, but it gets stuck on the loading screen. Ah we'll, maybe it will be a little better by the time I come home from work.

I found him early in the game, but didn't know who he was. Failed the encounter, then encountered him much later in the game. His buddy tried to pick a fight with me after.

Yeah I find that disappointing and also odd that it still pops up as a potential heist member even after the story mode... maybe they should have had a "game plus" type dealio... kind of like batman with all of your contacts stored already so you could use them.


Maybe the moral of the story is we all shouldn't have blown our loads doing the storyline as fast as possible... I just was reading about how to get $2 billion but I did all the missions that affect earning money and waited too long.
