Marchand is so mint...

KleptoKlown 06-09-2011 12:58 AM

Worried...

KleptoKlown 06-09-2011 01:01 AM

Fucking hell...I'll say it.

Send a plugger in like Glass and take a run at Thomas when he's out of his crease(IE 90% of the game)

Run him fast, run him hard....just make sure he's out of his crease.

Nucks can beat the Bruins, but they can't beat Thomas.

Reminds me of Hasek's Sabres but with a better team up front.

Sean 06-09-2011 01:16 AM

I don't know, I think Boston's done a great job of silencing the Sedins and co. and it goes beyond Thomas. Seidenberg was a monster tonight, for instance. Who's having a good series thus far for Vancouver in your estimation?

Lara Emily 06-09-2011 01:17 AM

Canucks are done

Sean 06-09-2011 01:22 AM

A little early for that.

KleptoKlown 06-09-2011 01:44 AM

Home team has won every game so far, which would obviously favour the Nucks...

First 2 games...Lou was lights out. He matched Thomas save for save.

Last games...Stevie Wonder could have done a better job.

Game 3, the whole Nucks team sucked...everyone. Lou didnt even play bad despite the 8 goals(how often can you say that?)

Game 4, he was shit. shit. shit. Nucks didnt play any better either.

Maybe I am not giving the Bruins enough credit, but these last 2 games...there is no way they are THAT much better. You have to give the Bruins credit, they've upped their game. But in the same breath, the Nucks have turtled. Where the fuck the Kesler? Hamhius with a knee injury? Fuck you Hamhius, suck it up, this is the grand daddy. Injuries don't matter...concussions aside, as brain injuries are a different devil...You have all summer to ice your knee. Steve Yzerman would chop off one of his legs, beat you to death with it, and still lift the cup.

The 94 Nucks had heart, the were far and away the less talented team...but they wanted it, McLean, Bure, Linden...not hall of famers, but during that year, they were f'n Supermen.

This finals so far? Haven't seen an ounce of heart from Kesler, Sedin's, Luongo, or Bieska.

Burrows has been an exception...but thats about it.

The Naitch 06-09-2011 03:23 AM

fuck out of here you transplant. Go back to Toronto where you came from

Lara Emily 06-09-2011 05:08 AM

Never lived in Toronto at any time of my life.

I hope I am wrong, but I don't think I am.

SlickyTrickyDamon 06-09-2011 06:44 AM

It's way too early to call the series either way. Boston has the momentum for sure, but they won both of their games on home ice.

I don't really like the 2-2-1-1-1 series set up for a final. Baseball and Basketball have it better with 2-3-2 in the finals.

OssMan 06-09-2011 11:18 AM

These finals are incredible. Way better than shitty last year's. Even though the last 2 games have been blowouts they have been super exciting.

TheChairman 06-09-2011 11:56 AM

The two rules of playoff hockey: don't overreact to one game and you're not in trouble until you lose at home.

I hate that saying. If the Bruins win all their home games and lose all four on the road what good did it do?

Emperor Smeat 06-09-2011 05:45 PM

That saying only applies to the team with home field/ice advantage or else it would never make sense to apply it to both teams in a series because the lower seed/record don't get enough home games to prove the saying.

Sean 06-09-2011 08:49 PM

I heard Pierre McGuire apply it to the Bruins when asked if they were in trouble after game 2.

Kapoutman 06-10-2011 01:10 AM

The series sure picked up after the first game. Pretty fun to watch this final.

KleptoKlown 06-10-2011 04:35 PM

Pierre McGuire is a douche.

KleptoKlown 06-10-2011 04:39 PM

If Lou has another bad game, the Nucks fans are going to hunt him down.

I understand that none of the Nucks has good games the last 2 in Boston(you're not going to win many games scoring 1 goal in 2 games) but your goalie has to be your best player. It seemed to suck the life out of the team when Lou let in those bad goals. If Lou was playing better, the rest if the team would have been too. If your goalie isn't getting it done, the team is done. Same a football, if you QB is doing shitty, chances are slim you're going to win.

The Naitch 06-10-2011 05:49 PM

I will riot if we lose. Been there the first time

KleptoKlown 06-10-2011 07:34 PM

Never understood rioters...nothing says team pride like tearing your city apart.

Would make more sense to organize a trip to Beantown, or the NHL's New York head office...not that I am encouraging such behavior :shifty:

You're so smart, you're like all other fucking bandwagoners.

Stickman 06-10-2011 11:54 PM

Bobby Lou sucks right guys? Shut out. Fuck you

Sean 06-10-2011 11:54 PM

Bruins have scored 2 goals in Vancouver in 180+ minutes, Lara Emily.

Fuck. It's looking like Vancouver in seven now.

That's in response to all those Vancouver fans who cheered when Schneider got put in, right?

Emperor Smeat 06-10-2011 11:57 PM

:-\ Vancouver won 1-0 but the Bruins played almost exactly how they did in Game 1 and not how they were in the previous 2 games.

Both goalies were good with Luongo a bit better in the end.

Sean 06-10-2011 11:59 PM

Putting Gregory Campbell on the PP unit was fucking retarded. Julien must hate Seguin.

Lara Emily 06-11-2011 12:02 AM

So sweet i was wrong awesome, look just because I thought they were done doesn't mean I was not wanting them to win, I just felt they had blown their momentum and that Boston had control, turns out i was wrong, that's awesome I'm happy

And for the record I'd have and have said the same thing about my Penguins, I'm a pessimist fan, it's how I operate

Yes. I don't know why people throw Lou under the bus after every loss.

Also, I've been hearing cheering and horns honking none stop since the Canucks got their goal. Literally non stop.

Bandwagoner.

Sean 06-11-2011 12:09 AM

Honestly if the Bruins/Canucks are going to play like this in Vancouver, it doesn't matter if the Bruins score 50 on Monday.

Stickman 06-11-2011 12:18 AM

Seriously lads, I live in the suburbs of Vancity about 30mins out, this is more nuts than the Olympics and we haven't even won the holy grail yet. Unreal.

Stickman 06-11-2011 12:19 AM

That was Canuck hockey btw. That's how they've played most of the season, this is why they are Presidents Cup Champs.

Sean 06-11-2011 12:30 AM

Don't the Sedins usually score though? I thought you had to get on the scoresheet to win an Art Ross trophy. :D

It's not every loss, but Lou is inconsistent.

Bugs me when fans boo him or cheer when he's replaced, but he is a coin, he has two sides.

Those 2 games in Boston wasn't just Lou. It was the whole team.

Lou and the Nucks are going to be better in Boston for game 6. Guaranteed....but so are the Bruins.

KleptoKlown 06-11-2011 12:46 AM

Really wish Lapierre would stop that horseshit too. He acted like someone took an axe to his wrist after Chara tapped him.

Lapierre is a good hockey player, he doesn't need to resort to faking shit in order to be an effective player.

Sean 06-11-2011 12:46 AM

This series is going seven, which is something I was afraid of. I'll claim ignorance and say I don't know what's more valued Olympics/NHL, but my inclination is to say game seven will be USA/Canada x10.

People have been saying how close these games are, how lucky the Nucks are to be winning these 1 goal games...

If not for Thomas, the Nucks home games final scores would like the B's home games...

I don't think national pride is as much of a factor in the Stanley Cup.

Kesler is American

Lucic is Canadian

Euros on both teams.

For the fans it might be USA vs Canada, but on the ice its multiculturalism.
