No, the name is familiar, but aside from being a name on a roster no bells have been rung

Then I guess it makes sense he's a Jaguar now, as I said.

Geno Hayes was a half decent linebacker for the Bucs
he might not have actually been half decent |

It's no secret that there is a serious bromance between ed reed and Bill Bellichek he could totally be a Patriot

I'm calling this right now: the Patriots will select Ryan Swope at some point in the draft. He's a white wide receiver who went to a college in Texas, so he's already pretty high on Bill's list, plus he ran a 4.3 40 time.

Ravens are purging while the Broncos are stock piling..
Saints are stagnant.. |
Yeah, I've never seen a Super Bowl team try so hard to make sure they don't repeat.

Geno Hayes sounds like an SEC head coach.

What's your favorite song to listen to while your sleeping, Mr. Jones? |
I think Good Ole Jerry can't go looking for any glory holes this free agency because of the NFL cap reductions.
|
Nnamdi Asslamalamadingdong is visiting with the 49ers.
Did George Steinbrenner fake his death, de-age by 30 years and take over the 49ers? |
Some Big Blue notes:
Giants resign Keith Rivers for a one year deal. Giants restructure Dave Diehl's contract. Giants sign DB Ryan Mundy. |
Some Bengals notes:
|
Steven Jackson signs with the Falcons
|
god damnit
|
No one is fucking with the Falcons on offense next year. Matt Ryan, Steven Jackson/ Jacquizz Rodgers, Julio Jones, Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez.
NFC South is ours. |
Iggles sign Kenny Phillips. DEAD TO ME PHILLIPS YOU HEAR ME
|
Saints note:
LT Jermond Bushrod to the Bears QB Chase Daniels to the Chiefs LB Jonathan Casillas to the Bucs LB Will Herring released |

Saints are signing some new blood on defense finally..
Steelers CB Keenan Lewis to close to deal with Saints |

The competition committee has suggested doing away with the tuck rule, the owners will vote on it sometime soon.

Matt Cassel to the Vikings? Ok then?

What do you suggest Jerry Jones do at this moment as far as signing free agents, Mr. James Steele?

So many holes and we gotta fill em all up in the draft I think -_-

Michael Huff would be a nice signing for the 'Boys has he signed anywhere yet
|
Stephen Jackson's deal with the Falcons ended up being a 3-year, $12 million deal.
Eagles signed Connor Barwin but was labeled as a bad signing because of the years and amount (6 years, $36 million). Mario Manningham agreed to about a $2 million pay cut in order to stay with the 49ers for next season. Patriots signed Leon Washington to a 1-year deal. Greg Jennings was demanding around $11 million per year but nobody is interested unless he drops it by a good $3-$5 million. Seahwaks signed Michael Bennett to a 1 year, $5 million deal. Ed Reed is preparing to announce the Texans as his team for next year with the announcement expected tomorrow. |

Seahawks get Bennett now too to go with Avril and Irvin. That team is going to be amazing to watch.
|
Oh dear God, I just realized our O-line has three people total now. Monroe, Nwaneri, and Bradfield. No center and no left guard.
|
Elway is scrambling to get Elvis Dumervil to re-work his contract before today's 4 pm eastern deadline or else he's getting his $12 mil. or gets released.
Hope they come to a conclusion. I don't think Von Miller will be the same without his tag team partner on the front line. |
Cardinals release Kevin Kolb.
|
Courtesy of Rotoworld:
Something bad must have happened during negotiations but Ed Reed went from "almost certainty" to now 50-50 in signing with the Texans. 49ers and Colts are the next set of teams if the Texans don't get him. Dwight Freeney, Emmanuel Sanders, and John Abraham are meeting with the Patriots today. Falcons deal with Tony Gonzalez ended up being for 2 year, $14 million. Pats resigned Kyle Arrington for 4 years. Danny Woodhead signed a 2 year contract with the Chargers. Dolphins the heavy favorites to keep Jake Long with the Rams currently not offering a decent deal to make him consider leaving at the moment. |

Awesome news.
|
According to NFL.com Elvis Dumervil has been released after his agent failed to file the proper paperwork in time for the pay cut.
... Wow. |
If I were him, I'd fucking fire his agent.
Sooooooooo pissed off right now. I'm not familiar with NFL free agency. Can the Broncos pick up back up off the market? |
How the fuck does something like this happen? Amateurs
|
Quote:
Also means they probably lost out on Dwight Freeney since he didn't want to wait on Denver to get that situation handled before potentially agreeing to sign with them. |
|
I feel like we're going to lose Grimes to Miami.
|
i h8 the falcons
:( |
FUCK OFF PERCY HARVIN
FUCK OFF GREEN BAY Hello Greg Jennings. :) |
Dumervil's agent blaming the Broncos for the paperwork mishap saying they waited too long to send him the paperwork and tried to sneak in an extra non-agreed condition at the last minute. Also teased Denver is out as a potential team for his player.
Quote:
The potential Ed Reed to Texans deal fell apart although they are still considered the favorites to get him later on. |
i would love for elvis to come to nola
not gonna happen though |
Abraham signed with the Pats
|
I wonder if #WTFax is going to be the start a lot of crazy calamities for the Broncos this year
gonna go wrap Von Miller in bubble wrap |
Ravens signed another former Cowboys first round pick in Marcus Spears.
|
Courtesy ESPN & Rotoworld:
Pats keeping Aqib Talib for at least one more year after both agreed to a new 1-year contract. Also resigned Kyle Arington to a new 4-year deal. Some conflicting reports on if Emmanuel Sanders was actually signed or not. NFLPA announces they are investigating the Dumervil-Bornocs contract botching. Jets owe Darrelle Revis $1 million due to his bonus being triggered today and it will count against their cap regardless if he ends up being traded in the future. Jake Long expected to make his initial decision between the Rams or the Dolphins during this weekend. Victor Butler teases he's willing to sign with the Saints although the team doesn't appear to be interested in the moment. |
Giants sign Louis Murphy. Likely to replace Domenik Hixon.
|
Giants sign Dan Connor to a one year deal
|
Hopefully the Connor signing won't preclude the Giants from drafting Alec Ogletree in the first.
|
Pats released Brandon Lloyd due to being unwilling to pick up on his $3 million bonus he would have been owed.
Ravens currently rumored to showing some interest in Elvis Dumervil or at least going the bidding sweeps for him. |
Elvis fired his agent for some reason
|
Seemed like a good enough guy.

3rd signing of the day for the Giants. Brandon Myers replaces Martellus Bennett as their new TE.

The Bengals have.....they....well we are letting Rey Maluaga go (thank goodness) and We're being smart in negotiating with Andre Smith (don't give up all that money to this fat piece of shit). We did however Franchise Michael Johnson (great young DE that was developed in the Cincy system).
Wow, we've got a lot of young talent and we've actually got a system of identifying/drafting/keeping them???? Did Mike Brown Die? We've managed to keept talent in house, while only saying bye to Pacman Jones, Rey Maluga, and Maybe Andre Smith. With Baltimore imploding, and Pittsburgh getting old. Cincy is right there to repeat their 10 win season and get into the playoffs again. |
Jim Irsay's been dropping hints that he's been trying to land a star WR, which is naturally leading speculation that he's putting together an offer sheet for Cruz.
The Giants have like zero cap room. They may not be in position to match any offer Cruz could receive. My gut says he's gone if the Colts put in an offer. |
Courtesy of Rotoworld:
Vikings deny any rumors stating they are interested in Brandon Lloyd. Quote:
Tim Tebow was given a contract offer to play in the Arena Football League if he ends up leaving the Jets and nobody else makes an interesting offer for him. Ed Reed expected to make his decision before the end of next week. Texans still the favorites but the Ravens are getting the chance to match or improve the offer since nobody else seems to be in the bidding. Jets won't be able to trade Darrelle Revis for at least a few more weeks after everyone else teased they are letting his value plummet considering neither the Jets nor Revis hold any leverage for trade deals. Nnamdi Asomugha meeting with the Saints today although 49ers still rumored to be the favorites to get him. Dolphins expected to re-sign Jake Long. |
As an aside, does anyone follow Jim Irsay's twitter feed? Dude is like the Charlie Sheen of NFL owners. Some of those tweets feel like he's on something that would make Hunter S. Thompson jealous.
|
Jake Long to the Rams. 4-years, $36 mil.
|
A bit surprised Long signed with the Rams mostly because of all the recent reports kept teasing Miami was basically a lock to get him.
According to SI, nobody is interested in James Harrison and even a 50% drop in his value would barely generate any interest. Miami considering going after Eric Winston to replace Long at the T spot. Saints showing a lot of interest in signing Nnamdi Asomugha. Bengals and Titans are the current teams interested in Ryan Fitzpatrick. |

Its actually tearing the baltimore fanbase apart at the seams into the Pro Orioles/Fuck the Orioles The Ravens won a Super Bowl what have the Orioles done lately contingents..
|
as an Orioles Forum puts it:
Quote:
I assume they'll play Wednesday but who knows. The NFL hates baltimore enough I could see them screwing the Ravens out of the Opening Night game... |
Also because of the jewish holiday excuse its been inferred the NFL wants Pats/Ravens because Kraft is Jewish which is why the NFL would cow tow to the Pats for the schedule even though the 5th is still part of the jewish holiday as much as the 4th is.
|
Also, the Ravens are actually going after Dumervil. His LB coach in Denver the year he had 17 sacks is now on the Ravens coaching staff which they see as a plus. Like I said earlier, if they can sign him it makes up for everything but Boldin, they still need to find a WR.
|
Also The Bengals re-sign Rey Malauga. Not insanely happy that this injury prone guy is getting broken off...but if he can stay healthy he can be a stud.
|
Malauga can be good when healthy, you're right. He's alright.
|
Colts picked up Hasselback

Almost 25% of the league's owners or co-owners are Jewish so I doubt the move was done solely because of Kraft. The NFL could easily swap that game out with Bal-Pitt, Bal-Hou, Bal-GB, or Bal-Den to maintain a great home opener.
Coutesey of Rotoworld: * Ed Reed currently holding out on signing any new deal with the Texans until they raise their offer to him while also making sure Baltimore stays in the bidding. * The Welker situation took another turn today after Welker's agents are now claiming the Pats did offer him a contract but it was a "take it or leave it" offer. Pats owner stated his offer guaranteed both years although it offered more in the first year if the incentives were reached. * Victor Cruz currently rumored to be staying with the Giants. The issue is every team interested currently values their 1st Round pick being more valuable than Cruz and don't want to pay him Top 10 WR money. * Titans signed Ryan Fitzpatrick to a 2-year deal. |
Heard Denver's working on a deal to bring Elvis back. There might be a God after all.
