I started watching it and thought some of the guys were well within the standards just saying hello to a pretty woman, most of the later ones freaked me out a bit.

I've only been there twice. Reminded me of Bourbon street in New Orleans. Feels very different from Chicago or any "city" in Florida.

I'd love for the "actress" to attempt that same experiment at our Aventura Mall.

I suspect I need more context. Anyway, out for a bit.

Kalyx doing his droford term, revelling in the suffering of others. How can he do the 'your suffering is relative' schtick and not just continue to talking about starving orphans in Africa. What do your ebonies and latinas think of those?
|
Starving orphans =/= Mean tweets
|
But suffering is relative? Your ebonies and latinas live in USA #1, they have a world of opportunity ahead of them.

The part of the video that really stood out was the weirdo walking next to the girl for like 4 minutes straight.
The jerk who kept asking if he was too ugly kind of pissed me off. What was interesting to me was how the video was then decried as racist by SJWs in need of a new witch to burn. Because, since a lot of people with little education and low-paying jobs check a box that says "not white", it's racist to show the problems inherent among uneducated and low-paying adult men. Which brings me back to my focus of reforming education in America and growing the economy. Men with high-school educations, college defrees and career options don't stand on the street getting mad at women for not knowing they have huge cocks. |

Ya know, what you call suffering just may not be what I would call suffering. This is the secret power of professional victims, or really anybody who thinks being offended is something they should be protected from: They get to turn the knob on what is and isn't an offense. When you play with words, terms, and definitions you can also widen the scope of what the public should respond to. One woman's 'suffering' of "street harassment" is another woman's Tuesday at South Beach. We can't possibly account for how people take things a certain way (a major point of contention with SJWs now that I think about it). But anyway yeah; you've used 'suffering' and even mentioned actual suffering (famine) to highlight what? That all suffering is equal, so long as you apply the word to whatever? You don't believe that. Anita's just wallowing in despair with her self promotion on Comedy Central. |
I'm thinking the guy who walked next to her was simply going that direction. Only the people recording knows for sure and they're certainly interested in making it look as creepy as possible.

Is gamer-gate still telling bitches they be bitches?
|
really hate that this thread is still here. keep telling myself I wont go back in here but days roll on and here it is. tempting me point how activism over gaming is one of the biggest wastes in energy imaginable. if only this effort went to things that would be constructive we may actually make some progress as a nation.

I personally always cringe inwardly when I see some bloke shout at a woman in the street or passive-aggressively comment, I've seen loudmouth friends do it probably not realise they're part of a pattern. I also know my wife feels it is vaguely threatening when some guy calls out to her when she's walking or running. It's obviously not exactly India or anything, but there is a spectrum of behaviour. Realistically, no man has to deal with it on a daily basis so it's not really for us to say what is acceptable or not, moreso to decide whether it's really necessary for us to randomly say "hello" to a stranger we happen to find attractive. |
On one hand, Kalyx actually talks about legit issues with game journalism and that makes him sound like he's different from the bottom feeders in GG.
Then, he uses SJW as an insult (you know my stance on that) and tends to mansplain things. It's really disheartening, and I feel he's better than that. |
There's no such thing as 'mansplaining', and even so it's just bizarre that a dude is calling me on that. It's just another facet of tone policing that, yes, SJWs like to use to control the conversation.
Have you considered that I'm a guy with legit points, and the negatives you pointed out are only things you've been told to seek out by the very people who would disagree with me? Consider that these things aren't even refutations of whatever I believe. How I use SJW as a term? "Mansplaining"? It isn't discussion or refutation to point that out, it's an easy out. It 100% leads to, "Well I'm not talking to you or taking you seriously because ________." I feel you are better than that, honestly. |
A dude has no purpose telling a woman how she should feel about anything. People have the right to feel uncomfortable.
I say this as a person who gives off creepy vibes. |

Consider that all somebody like Anita Sarkeesian and some female game journalist do is tell men exactly how they should feel. We have social norms established where we can see a person's reaction and determine whether somebody is either going over the line, or not taking something seriously enough. We can't make such determinations without some sort of interactive constants. But you know that; we do this all the time. What you're telling me is not to do this in the case of evaluating across gender lines, for no other reason than I'm the man and the one under the microscope is female. I reject this, sorry. The extreme of this is not being allowed to analyze, promote, or vilify anybody's feelings about anything ever. Because at this point it would be me 'Kalyxsplaining'. I mean, I don't know what Vast goes through so I have no ground to even begin telling him how he should feel about any given action. Even though I'm not telling him how he should so much as asking for a degree of self reflection. But nope - Kalyxsplaining. You have to know that's bullshit. Don't run with this mansplaining silliness. Quote:

This thread is so odd. What in the fuck. Why are all of these discussion forum posters in here. Feel like the forum is being destroyed before our eyes. What in the fuck is happening
|
Everybody in this thread posts more in this forum than you do, so that means you are the weird one.

I can't imagine you playing a video game. I always thought that you had fun by reading scientific journals outside with your clothes off in the middle of Russian winters.
|
I don't get playing as often as I used to, but with friends living all over the place nowadays, Call of Duty/FIFA/Worms 2 on Xbox live with my main way of keeping in touch with a lot of people in the past couple of years. For about half my life maybe 3 of the wider groups of friends I've had have all been brought together by drinking and Pro Ev.
|
Worms is a magnificent game. None of my friends like it because they are fuck faces.
|
I've probably played more games than anyone in here except Kalyx
|
How many do you think, out of curiosity?
|
I can confirm that I have played at least six games in my life.
|
I don't know. Would probably be more meaningful to square off with how many systems I owned. I do remember trying to compile a list of every game I'd ever played, but that was about 14 years ago.
I have also developed games both alone and as part of a team so please remember I am the most important person in this thread. |
Of the games you developed, how many reviewers did you make coitus with for positive press. Because those numbers will have to be subtracted from your total count in an effort to remain ethical.
THAT IS A SERIOUS ISSUE HERE! |
let my people go
|
Honestly I'd say I play less separate titles than a lot of you. I tend to stick to a few titles a year. It's why there's no point in me posting in the What Are You Playing thread; it'll be the same group of games for up to a year.
In terms of hours put into gaming, I rather not say... |
TPWW Worms 2 Tournament
|
We're getting an X1 in December. Something's going down.
|
Objectively the inferior console
Which is fine and all but proves somewhat that reviews don't matter. |
I don't know many people who gave X1 solid reviews at launch besides IGN. Most people were pretty critical of it, even after the big 180 turn.
We're getting it because of what I believe are the only decent reasons for choosing a console; controller, exclusives, online network, and where my buds are at. I don't care about specs so long as I'm playing with my dudes in Halo 5. |
I also feel it has less technical issues to deal with/overcome. The recent PS updates have been less than positive. The internal architecture also makes the machine much more versatile for someone (like me) who uses it for more than just gaming.
Donut care much about 1080p 60fps. If I did, I would just buy a PC. |
X-Box One slept with IGN to get positive reviews.
|
Now I feel awful - I am not a gamer :(
Thanks BDC, I owe you my life! |
