I remember being excited to watch that spinoff show "Fear the Walking Dead" because it was supposed to be about the early days of the virus just getting started... but then it feels like they barely spent any time on that and just all of a sudden society was collapsed and it was the exact same kind of show.
Wish they would re-do it now. Show society slowly collapsing. Have protests by people who refuse to believe it is happening, etc.... |
Just going through stuff that has been on my DVR forever.... watching the last half of the season of The Orville.... still weird how this show does Star Trek better than the modern Star Trek shows... (Although I haven't watched Star Trek: Discovery season 2, that is all sitting on my DVR too)
|
Snowpiercer...first ep perdy good.
|
Snowpiercer.
Caught the debut episode after tonight's Dynamite and enjoyed it a lot. If TNT keeps airing the repeats on Wednesdays then that's my new plan for Wednesday nights. |
Finally watched the first episode of Legion Season 3..... About time I watched this final season...
|
I need to watch s3 too
|
Re-watched seasons 1 and 2 of Westworld; season 2 was definitely not as captivating as the first. I'm going to move on to season 3 in the next couple of days, but I think I will watch the final season of Versailles before I do that.
I'm slowly but surely getting through the first season of Fear the Walking Dead. It's only six episodes long, but I really don't care about any of the characters, especially the teenagers who all need to get bitten as soon as possible. |
Halfway through season 3 of Ozark, very much enjoying it
|
Ozark remains the highest quality writing you can find in long form television
|
Finishing Sunderland Til I Die season 2.
Not as good as season 1 |
Lets see....
The Conners-Decent sitcom/drama. Glad it is getting another season. Goldbergs-Should have ended this a season ago. Schooled-So much better than Goldbergs the past 2 years,so of course it gets cancelled. Fresh off the Boat-It is over now. But a damn funny show. American Housewife-Lost a step this past season. Superstore-Really lost a step this season. Kinda hoping it is over now. Pretty much everything else I watch is either old shows or Wrestling. |
Damn.... didn't know Schooled got canceled until now.... was enjoying it, except for the fact I guess that I know the "90s timeline" a bit better, so it's like "Ok, now Star Wars Episode 1 is out? That's 1999, so the 1990-somethings should be pretty much over!"
I'm sure it is very much the same with The Goldbergs, but I guess the dates of when stuff happened or came out is fuzzier for me in the 80s so doesn't really bother me too much. |
Finished Westworld S3. Mad that we had a multi-page thread for S1. Better than S2.
We’re now watching Breeders, a comedy about parenthood. Pretty good stuff. |
I've finished the final season of Versailles; not as gripping as the previous two seasons but still watchable.
I'm coming to the end of season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead; I still don't particularly care for any of the characters, but still find myself watching it. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back on Prime and I've nearly finished the first season. I think I watched the first two seasons when they were originally on, but for whatever reason did not continue watching thereafter. I'm going to start season 3 of Westworld tonight, and once that is done I'm going to watch season 5 of Outlander. |
Watched S2 of The Orville. Good stuff.
Watched first episode of Avenue 5 starring Hugh Laurie. Only 5 episodes. |
Just watched the latest episode of Harley Quinn..... "damn" @ this love triangle playing with my emotions.....
|
Went to go watch the premiere of Agents of SHIELD, but my DVR recorded the SD version. Gross.
EDIT- Watched it via streaming..... non-skippable commercials. Gross. |
New Norwegian horror anthology on Netflix "Bloodride". It's rare for me to watch foreign horror but I have been impressed with the Norwegian offerings Netflix has.
I'm only ten minutes in on the first episode but it's nice and strange, just not scary yet. |
The atmosphere reminds me of my beloved "Grimm" which is perfect.
I don't particularly like horror that only aims to terrify, a bit of humour and geniality is always nice, especially when it isn't only used to set up scares. |
Well, the ending of that first one was not good.
I dunno if I can sit through too many good stories with predictable or annoying endings. I like a good twist but don't sign post its presence and then lazily replace it with a less sensible one. |
That second episode was excellent.
Absolutely tremendous escalation and pay off. |
Episode 3 is sort of Scandinavian Black Mirror lite, but it wasn't good.
Episode 4 is almost offensively bad after a promising premise and first half. There was a nice kind of Usual Suspects style reveal that went nowhere and served only to undermine the effort. These things are being undone by their execution. Slik if you get a chance to see episode 2 give that one a go. I know you like a good horror. |
Stunningly beautiful woman in episode 5, committed to watching what is surely some horribly upsetting ghost story now.
Why do I do this to myself... |
Rubbish, but jeez-o was that woman a feast for the eyes.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are one the greatest on-screen pair ever. |
I'm going to assume you're talking about "Burke & Hare", have confused it with "The Brothers Grimm" because both are pretty crummy despite sharing no similarities and for good measure you've mistaken Andy Serkis for Nick Frost.
Is that what happened here? |
BTW "Grimm" was a TV series based on folklore and fairytales compiled by the Grimm brothers.
It was class. |
Episode 6 of Bloodride is pretty great.
I think most episodes do well to maintain a crawling creepiness that they seem to lose with mostly unsatisfactory endings. A lot of bluffs in this show, too many. This last one, along with the second, is head and tails above the others. |
Holy fucking shit...
That was wild. |
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
|
Scrubs. Turk and JD have a new watch-along podcast.
|
Covid19 Series Scorecard:
-Scrubs Season 1-4. -Dead to Me Seasons 1-2. -Psych (all series) -Star Trek Picard -Power Rangers in Space. |
I've finished season 3 of Westworld; I enjoyed it, though it was weird having the story told in a pretty much linear fashion when the other seasons played around with the timeline. Seasons 2 and 3 are still not as engaging as the first season.
I'm currently in the middle of season 3 of Fear the Walking Dead, and season 3 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I'm going to start season 5 of Outlander, and then when that is done watch the first season of The Leftovers, which I bought a while ago but for whatever reason have not watched. |
Quote:
On Westworld, it definitely feels different after the big "reveal" of the 1st season. Season 2 was alright, very different, but it kinda worked I guess. I was kinda stoked for Season 3, but haven't bought it yet. Thinking of streaming or downloading it, but just haven't bothered. Figured the "real world" would break the show's "original feeling" moreso than the 2nd. Hopefully, that isn't the case. |
Didnt know they would put out a new season if 13 Reasons Why so fast... i usually forget about them as soon as i finish them anyway... this one is insane, it's basically Lost if it was a horror flick. They took out the resistance feminist tho

It's pretty different, I like stuff thats set in schools though. I think s2 was about like a angry white kid school shooter type, s3 was about covering up a murder, and s4 is some people trying to expose the cover up. They try to tackle real issues that kids go through, some of it's commendable and some of it kinda misses the mark and can be pretty cringe. S4 is fucking insane though
|
Yeah, we’re part way through S4 of 13 Reasons. Mental.
|
|
What we do in the shadows
So good. If you liked the movie, get on this shit. If you didn't like the movie, you're probably just an awful person. |
I binged the second series yesterday.
I think it was even better than season one, Colin Robinson is so incredible. |
Matt Berry has made a career out of pronouncing things in a tremendously OTT thespian style.
Nyew Yawk Citteh |
Garth Brooks- The Road I'm On
|
Watching the latest Harley Quinn... "lol" at this recap by JB Smoove's character at the beginning
|
Harley Quinn surprised me with how decent it was.
Raunchy |
I'm coming to the end of season 3 of Fear the Walking Dead and season 5 of Outlander, and I've watched the first episode of season 4 Agents of Shield.
Once I've finished the seasons I'm currently on for FWD and Outlander, I'm going to watch The Mandalorian, The Witcher, and season 4 of Veronica Mars; all on that website Seanny has introduced me to. Glorious. |
Sam & Cat

It finally "sold me" on "new look" Harley Quinn too (new look almost 10 years old I guess, so not so new)
|
Watching "Silicon Valley" for the first time, never had access to it before.
Two episodes in and I love it. Jared is tits. |
Good show. Similar vein im watching Succession on hbo. Very good.
|
Episode 5 is classic.
The scene with the Telehuman/IM/phonecall all failing was just cracking stuff. |
So much greatness in this show.
I love it all. |
Its very Al Bundy. Nothing ever works out
|
Laugh count is at that perfect level to give me time to recover between gags.
Best show I've started since Rick and Morty. |
Depressed to find out the guy who played Peter died 5 episodes into this.
That's a damned shame. |
No way does this show end well for anyone.
Such a great ominous vibe underneath the hilarity. I have fallen in love with it. Not a note wrong so far. |
Silicon Valley is so fucking funny it's not even fair.
Nothing I have ever said or done is as funny as this. It might be up there with Arrested Development as one of the smartest comedies ever written. Pure undiluted genius. |
Yeah this is up and down the best thing I have seen in a long time. Not one thing has even slightly bugged me about it.
True comedy. |
I'm exhausted with laughter, but it makes me.
It's like torture binging this show. The torture of joy. |
Binging Silicon Valley is very much like being beaten up by jokes themselves.
So tired, but so much to laugh at. I will just finish season 2 before bed. No harm in it. |
Laughed so hard over the last 24 hours I think I legitimately hurt my chest.
Mike Judge is no slouch. Genius. |
Very underrated as a writer.
|
I feel like someone should have pointed me towards this show before I went out of my way to watch it.
Going to recommend to everybody. |
I'm half way through season 4 of Veronica Mars; its as sharp and witty as the original three seasons. I'd forgotten how much I missed the show.
|
I've finished season 4 of Veronica Mars and the first season of The Mandalorian. VM was as snappy and enjoyable as the original run, though the myriad twists in the final two episodes seemed a bit overkill. As for The Mandolorian, whilst it was entertaining, a lot of it felt like filler to me.
I'm currently half way through The Witcher. Henry Cavill seems to be doing a decent job in the role of Geralt. I'll save any other judgements until I've finished it. |
I found the Witcher entertaining, but a bit of a mess in terms of its structure (failing to replicate what seasons 1 and 2 of Westworld did well in their story-telling). I think if they resolve that they will have a solid show.
Surprisingly, I did not find the forced diversity jarring, though I think that might be because I decided to separate the show from the games. |
Watching Chernobyl. Just finished episode 2. Really good so far.
|
Quote:
|
I watched Chernobyl the other weekend and it really was good.
I watched the first episode twice. |

What you want to do is skip to the disaster scenes and see if that interests you enough to ask why.
|
That's exactly what I did and I ended up watching it all in a oner.
|
I just finished season 4 of The Last Kingdom; solid and as entertaining as the other seasons. If you like Vikings, The Witcher and other shows of that nature, you'll enjoy it.
|
Vikings was GOT with the violence turned up and the tits turned down.
There will never be an equal. |
Alas, I don't think Lagertha every got her boobs out. That makes me sad.
|
Mr Iglesias
|
2 episodes into watchmen. Color me interested.

The Outsider on HBO is pretty magnificent. My girflriend is a huge Stephen King mark so she roped me in.
|
I liked The Outsider - great acting and I think the costuming is pitch-perfect for small towns in the south. I do wish it was like 2-3 episodes shorter though.
|
Jared so freaking funny in Silicon Valley, also a huge fan of Big Head.
Show didn't miss a beat when T.J. Miller left, it was already too good. |
Watched succession. Best show on hbo.
|
Looked at that there, nice cast and premise.
Will have to watch one or two. |
I'm on to the final season of Homeland, and I'm about half way through the first season of Billions.
With the exception of seasons 2 and 3, Homeland has been a solid and entertaining series throughout its 8 seasons |

Finishing up watchmen. The hooded justice episode was fucking great.

Im on ep3. So far i strongly dislike it
|
I look forward to hearing why. (Nah jk, I don't at all.)
|
No worries, it'd go over your head anyhow
|
I just found out I haven't seen two whole seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm. I have no idea how this happened but it's not even the latest seasons...
This is like finding an uncashed premium bond. |
Ricky Gervais and Michael J Fox in great episodes, Michael J Fox looks good. Made me feel good seeing him getting some comedy out of Parkinson's.
|
How i Met Your Mother
|
Loved the Michael J. Fox episode of Curb
|
The violin bit made me put my face in my hands.
|
I drifted away from CYE but I can’t remember at what point.
|
Finished the final season of Homeland; good stuff.
I've also finished the first season of Billions. A bit ridiculous, but I'm happy to watch Paul Giamatti chew the scenery any time, and who doesn't like Maggie Siff? I'm half way through the first season of SW: Clone Wars, and I'm going to start seasons 4 of Agents of Shield and Fear the Walking Dead. |
Havent watched any shows in awhile but now season 3 of Dark is out so time to binnnnge.
|
Damn.... Still never watched Season 2....
