That was a pretty BAMF pyro display.

Londoner 06-01-2008 11:50 PM

weird ending

FourFifty 06-01-2008 11:51 PM

There is no way this can really be the end of The Undertaker. Ya gotta wonder how he'll come back.

Londoner 06-01-2008 11:52 PM

Yeah no doubt he will. Doesn't seem like a real ending to his career, still shocked he lost though, im off anyway, night.

SammyG 06-01-2008 11:53 PM

...This can't be.

He'll debut on Raw tomorrow night as Mean Mark.

And then Vickie pins him.

Team Sheep 06-02-2008 12:07 AM

That was a great show. I'm interested to hear the extent of Orton's injury. Lol @ when he got up and the crowd started to cheer for him and he just turns around and shouts 'SHUT THE FUCK UP!!'

I hate to say this but if Orton is really hurt, that was priceless. The fans are cheering for him, saying thank you for a hell of a show, a hell of a match, and we hope you come back soon, just for Orton to yell "SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!"

Corndad 06-02-2008 12:27 AM

Takers gonna be the 1st pick in the Draft for Raw.

aaaaa 06-02-2008 12:38 AM

Hmmmm...

Maybe Taker won't be gone as long as we think. Here's an interesting link that may be considered a *spoiler* if you're spoiled by those things.

Xero 06-02-2008 12:50 AM

Posters don't mean shit but yeah, Taker's probably going to be the final "surprise" draft pick.

Mr. Nerfect 06-02-2008 01:25 AM

I'm glad they went with the Edge win. But yeah, they desperately need faces on SmackDown!. I mean, who the fuck do they have? Matt Hardy could step up, I guess. The same could be said for Finlay, if he weren't in a feud with Chavo Guerrero. Big Show seems to be feuding with the ECW Champion.

I think we'll need a Chavo face turn, and some big name draftees, STAT.

Also, I would have marked out like a little bitch for Batista saying "Just so you know, I don't love you, and I'm not sorry."

Rammsteinmad 06-02-2008 04:40 AM

Pretty good show last night. I stayed up with a friend to watch it. Was quite surprised when Edge won. But when 'Taker started climbing the ladder a couple of feet away from the belt, it was pretty obvious what was gonna happen.

No doubt he'll be drafted to Raw or something. I'm sure if that really was his last match they'd have hyped it a bit more.

DaVe 06-02-2008 06:44 AM

Yeah, although Edge did say on Smackdown last week that 'and this isn't just a stipulation where the guy leaves for 4 weeks and comes back drafted to another show'. Of course, that doesn't mean much in the wrestling business.

However, Undertaker is the Deadman thus he is not bound by mortal rules.

Impact! 06-02-2008 07:35 AM

LOL steal my comment aye

ClockShot 06-02-2008 07:47 AM

Sounds like I bombed this PPV for tipsters.

Team Sheep 06-02-2008 09:16 AM

Yeah I was gonna say that Edge said on Smackdown, and the commentators were reiterating it last night that this doesn't mean Taker can just get drafted to another show in 3 weeks, he is gone from the whole WWE forever. I wanna see how this turns out.

parkmania 06-02-2008 11:05 AM

I thought it was an OK PPV. Not great, but not horrible either.

The biggest problem I had was that Cena really didn't do anything offensive to MAKE JBL bleed as quivkly as he did. It seemed like JBL was almost bleeding BEFORE the STFU was even applied.

I also hope that Y2J and Batista have a confrontation. I want to know if Y2J was actually trying to inspire HBK, or just trying to piss Bats off so that he dished out more punishment.

Yeah, because there's never a clause, or a catch, or WWE never just plum forgets...

Do you think it's a coincidence that the draft is in three weeks and that WWE books on a three week memory span?

Xero 06-02-2008 01:16 PM

Actually just heard he'll be back around SummerSlam or Survivor Series, so...

NoRoolz 06-02-2008 03:33 PM

Solid PPV.

Yeah, about Taker, I think he'll be out for a few months and then make a big return rather than being drafted. Either of the SS PPV's would be perfect.

Dorkchop 06-02-2008 04:37 PM

Were any of the matches good? I tried finding a stream of it, but gave up after every link I found didn't work.

Team Sheep 06-02-2008 05:00 PM

He should return at Survivor Series, where the seeds somehow get planted for Undertaker vs HBK at Mania 25.

NoRoolz 06-02-2008 05:01 PM

Hardy/Umaga - Was entertaining, all sorts of weapons and stuff used innovatively, Jeff slid down some bannisters and clotheslined Umaga

ECW match - Again, was pretty entertaining, short-ish, fast-paced match with cane-shots flying everywhere, Big Show done the old fall onto the steps skit and seemed to legit hit his head against it and busted his eye open.

Cena/JBL - Cena/JBL is one of the worst combinations I can think of for a match on the active roster, it was pretty poor, but watchable, just.

Beth/Melina - I recorded the P.P.V, and didn't watch all this match, but the parts I did see looked very good, I'm guessing the best WWE Divas match in a while.

HBK/Batista - Weird one for me, I enjoyed it, but it was confusing what happened at the end and the Y2J stuff.

Orton/HHH - Had to end earlier than planned, fine by me. Watchable.

Edge/Undertaker - Although we've seen these two compete so many times this was another good match, some nice spots and a very entertaining last 10 minutes.

Londoner 06-02-2008 05:04 PM

Almost 100% agreed with no roolz on that review, except the hhh/orton match was pretty boring. And the TLC match got better as it went on but started off shit.

Damn that volcano insurance guy. I'll get him one day.

Jura 06-03-2008 07:35 PM
