Yeah this was so unexpected.

There's a bunch of reasons for this. For one, AI has slowed down a little bit this season. Whether it's his bum ankle or his age catching up with him, who knows, but the Nuggets didn't want to wait to find out. Two, JR Smith is ready to take over full time at the 2 guard. Three, this team needs a good PG to really reach it's full potential on offense. And finally, this puts the Nuggets really close to being under the luxury tax. I'll miss AI, he's a warrior, but Chauncey fits better on this team.

Also Expiring contract.

Detroit is gonna start Stuckey, AI, Rip Sheed and Johnson I heard. Have fun rebounding.
