YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:13 PM

Whatever folks, that was a pussy tactic.

I'd drill Varitek on his first plate appearance if I were the coach. I'd start some mid reliever instead of my starter. All with the sole purpose of drilling Varitek between the shoulder blades.

Old School.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:24 PM

LOL WTF. Nice dive right in front of Damon, Kapler.

Looking nervous.

The Miz 07-25-2004 09:24 PM

Red Sox just proved in the 1st inning why they're 8.5 games out. Lofton catches Damon sleeping and takes 2 on what should've been a single, Jeter bunts him to 3rd, and Sheffield pops it up to right center and no one calls it. 1-0 Yankees.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:26 PM

Lowe hits Posada, bases loaded. Not a hard ball hit yet.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:28 PM

Lowe looks frazzled.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:28 PM

Varitek isn't playing. LOL. Sorry, but he's gotta be out there, saying he hurt his wrist in the scuffle, that is weak.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:29 PM

How does Matsui take that pitch. My god.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:30 PM

Nice catch by Damon, I thought that was over his head. A little atonement.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:32 PM

Ump's got a tight strike zone it seems. As long as he's consistant.

The Miz 07-25-2004 09:34 PM

Red Sox match a season high with 2 flyball catches in one inning.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:37 PM

Good hustle by Damon there. He's playing like The Man.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:38 PM

That 'wake me up' HAs slapped Johnny in the face. He's ready to play now.

The Miz 07-25-2004 09:39 PM

LOL WTF. Throwing the ball over the 1st basemans head on a pickoff? This like watching a little league game.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:40 PM

Now they walk Bellhorn. Gonna be an interesting game to say the least.

well, actually, he's always frazzled...

He blew about 4-5mil a year by not accepting the sox offer in the offseason.

Defense is horrible on the team...

and the yanks have a better coach... smart plan, try and score early and get lowe all screwed up.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:43 PM

Bit of a high strike call there, Ortiz didn't seem upset by it. Mighta said it, before signaling to us TV people.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:44 PM

Bases loaded for the best RBI guy I've ever watched, Manny.

The Miz 07-25-2004 09:44 PM

Contreras has gotta throw strikes.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:47 PM

Force at home, LOL. Looked like he was off the plate. Need a replay...

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:48 PM

Posada dragged his leg nicely actually.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:49 PM

Bases loaded, no outs. Gotta get something. 2 outs now and nothing.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 09:51 PM

Tie game. Millar been getting the job done all series.

Loose Cannon 07-25-2004 09:54 PM

Yeah, Kerry just lost my vote.

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 10:03 PM

Don't worry he'll Flip Flop [/republican]

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 10:05 PM

Varitek ain't playing so they hit Marribelli (SP). Well that's not why...

MrMeJW 07-25-2004 10:08 PM

I fucking love Johnny Damon

YOUR Hero 07-25-2004 10:11 PM

He's in the game, I'm telling you. Lofton taking the extra base on him was the worse thing that could have happened for the Yankees. Also, that foul ball call, that did look fair, was also a bad thing for *UPDATE BELLHORN HITS A HR TOO* the Yanks as well.

The Miz 07-25-2004 10:13 PM

God dammit, I go to get some cheetos and it's 6-2 Sox. What happened?

MrMeJW 07-25-2004 10:13 PM

Damon got a 3 run home run and belhorn got a solo homerun right after him

Dragon 07-26-2004 12:10 AM

Grand slam by Matsui.

Yashamaga 07-26-2004 12:17 AM

Millar is going crazy at the plate

he's now 10-12 in the series with 5 HRs and like 16 RBI or something

OssMan 07-26-2004 12:33 AM

what is the score now. 9-6 when I stopped watching :o

Loose Cannon 07-26-2004 12:34 AM

21-6 Yankees. They had a big rally

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-26-2004 01:11 AM

Foulke closes it out.....Nice

That grand slam shouldn't have even happened, A-Rod should have been called out on strikes. 3 "borderline" pitches, I am pretty sure ATLEAST one was a strike, either way though, Sox pull out with the victory

OssMan 07-26-2004 02:03 AM

what was final scoreeeeee

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-26-2004 02:27 AM

9-6

Gonzo 07-26-2004 02:39 AM

May be the year for the BoSox. Or not. Maybe.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-26-2004 02:44 AM

I really thought last year was the "year" I always say it, but last year I really had a feeling like they were going to win it all. But I was wrong

I am not too sure about this year. Last year they won every close game, and didn't make bonehead plays in the field..they seem to be doing that type of shit this year though. Take away the errors and unearned runs the Sox would probably be in the running for the AL East crown

Gonzo 07-26-2004 02:50 AM

I don't follow baseball too closely, and I surely know the Yankee-BoSox rivalry is very intense but if a team is willing to go to fist-to-cuffs over baseball, they mean business.
