Hardcore is the only one worth playing, tbh. Tried regular damn mode and I just can't get into it. Was the same with MW2, can't play anything but Hardcore

Also, Laguna Presa is the shittiest map in gaming history. People already snipe too damn much as it is. When this map comes around either no one or 1 or 2 guys run around capturing flags, everyone else snipes. Running around and capturing the flags yourself wouldn't be too bad if it weren't for every damn flag being watched by 3 or 4 snipers at any given time.

Laguna Presa is only really playable on squad death match, any other mode and its horrendous, definately the worst one on there. Slowly leveling up, up to level 12 at the moment.

How come deathmatch has to be in teams? FFA deathmatches are awesome. That's the only complaint I got so far. That, and I just randomly die because I get sniped every 30 seconds or so. |
FFA deathmatch is gay and courages gay behavior. I wouldn't mind an option, though, for dudes like you who want it - but it would certainly undermine the team-based nature of the game.

finally won a deathmatch. luckily was in a squad with some decent players who didn't sit back and snipe. got in a tank and dominated the entire match. kept dodging mortar strikes most of the time while machine gun guy took them out. also finally got my veteran status working. yay for acquiring 1943 guns i will never use.

Just had my best match online. Went 53 and 33 with 5610 points overall on the jungle map playing rush. Played as medic exclusively. Was rushing around throwing health packs down everywhere, and going from one side of the map to other reviving fallen comrades. Plus I was mowing down anyone who was foolish enough to get in my way. Planted three bombs that went on to destroy M com stations as well.

I got the special Shotgun upgrade that extends its range and I must say, it has AR range now. With the automatic shotgun you'll clear rooms easily. I use that in my Recon class because I can't snipe for shit.

Most people don't know how to use the sniper class effectively in these types of games.
I like to use a sniper class in MAG, and what I'll do is go with my squad, til we get close to an objective. Then I'll hang back and cover them, and counter snipe the people defending the objective. That's what a good sniper does. Not sit in the spawn point the whole game. |
Yeah, the bad recon guys make a lot of games unplayable. Ditto the mongs who storm off ahead alone looking for kills/points. Seems to be that as soon as one does it, the rest do and the team falls to pieces. The game is equally great and infuriating at the same time.

Have encounted so many shite snipers, really bugs me. So far think the medic class has been my most profitable class shall we say, I get a little bit of a rush knowing I just bought some guy back from the dead.

Urgh some people just dont understand the concept of a SQUAD game. Online is starting to grind my gears.

Rush is the stupidest fucking thing. Why the fuck are the attackers getting attacked? Just becomes Conquest with a time limit but you have 8 miles to run to get anywhere, but before you get there you'll get sniped by one of 7 different guys

I find Rush very enjoyable - most of the Conquest games I've played have been boring snipe-fests or disorganised messes.

Yeah, Rush is the balls if you have even half decent teams playing, much prefer it to Conquest

Dunno, maybe I was just having shit luck in getting good teams last night. First time I'd played Rush.
And if you think Conquest sniping is bad, SDM is worse. Basically just becomes squad sniping teams. They need to do like old games did and limit the classes per teams |

I think I've "played" squad death match once, chose my class, saw every other guy in my squad sitting in wookie outfits in bushes at the spawn screen and quit pretty much straight away.

Squad DM is awesome. Not liking a good spot, flanking, and icing a group of fools. And getting points that reward good behavior much more accurately than most games. Get yourself a dedicated squad.

SDM is good providing you have a decent team or atleast stay close to each other and do you "jobs" i.e heal/revive people, ammo resupply.
