Would rather the Cowboys trade for RG3 than I would Manziel.

Evil Vito 01-04-2016 11:15 AM

No idea what the Giants will do in the draft. They need help basically everywhere.

They may even have to go Offensive Tackle for the 3rd time in 4 years. Feels like its harsh to slap the bust tag on Ereck Flowers already. He was put in a tough spot, was supposed to play right tackle and instead he got moved to left tackle with zero professional experience.

But he still graded out as the worst tackle in football by a wide margin according to Pro Football Focus. And recent league history suggests that tackles rarely improve. You either are good right out of college or you suck and get moved to guard soon thereafter.

Simple Fan 01-04-2016 12:12 PM

Glad the Cowboys are not in the middle of the draft this year but hate what it took to get a top 5 pick. Don't know who they take at 4. Don't see a QB good enough to take that early. Really should draft a RB but I'm not sure the 4th pick would be a great spot to reach on a RB. Always find a group of players if like to see Dallas pick and they never pick any but I'd like to see them get one of the top backs either Elliot, Henry, or the Arkansas RB. Pharroh Cooper the WR out our South Carolina is another guy I'd like to see them take but probably won't. Defensively it's a homer pick for me but Josh Harvy Clemons out of Louisville is a DBiI'd like to see them grab as well.

Manziel introduced himself as “Billy.” He was there into the 3am hour and when it came time to pay the bill, he asked to have it comped because he didn’t bring cash and also didn’t want to put it on his card.

However, the sources tell us he ended up paying with his card and signing the check.

By 3am he appeared to be enjoying the party scene that Vegas is known to offer.

The club had Manziel and his crew placed at a VIP table close to the DJ booth. The table is located in one of the darkest areas of the club.

Manziel dined at the club’s restaurant before going to the nightclub. He was seated at the most private area in the restaurant, which is still out in the open. And yes, he ate with his wig and glasses on.

Chargers, Raiders, and Rams all filed the official paperwork for relocation. Owners vote on who gets to move or not won't happen till between January 12th and 13th.

According to CBS Sports, none of the proposals have enough votes to win on their own although the Chargers/Raiders option seems to be the favorite. Also being teased that if Chargers split from the Raiders, they are likely the team to move since owners prefer them out of the three to move first. Rams owner seems to have lost support recently with the owners and might try to get Chargers/Raiders move blocked if he doesn't get his way.

Evil Vito 01-04-2016 11:52 PM

In the event the Chargers and Raiders both move, one of them will have to go to the NFC West with a team moving to the AFC West.

Seahawks are assumed to be the team that would go to the AFC West since they're a former AFC team and their rivalry with the Niners has already fizzled. But it'd be kinda weird to take a team that's been a perennial Super Bowl contender and move them to the other conference. Cardinals are really good too so moving them seems unfair. And the Niners have too much NFC lineage.

Would be awkward as all hell for the Rams though if they lose their relocation bid AND have to change divisions.

road doggy dogg 01-05-2016 08:25 AM

That Manziel story sounds too fantastic. I hope they don't run him out of the league, we need a ridiculous character like him to stick around.

Emperor Smeat 01-05-2016 08:01 PM

Seems like the Eagles are down to between Sean Payton and Adam Gase as their next coach. They are interested in trading for Payton if the price is right but at the same time are pretty far along in negotiations with Gase. The longer it takes for the Saints to make a decision, the more likely its Gase to the Eagles.

Giants, Dolphins, and 49ers are also interested in Payton while the Colts were before dropping out very quickly because Saints want at least a 1st Round pick for a trade.

Sepholio 01-05-2016 08:30 PM

Moving Seattle to the AFC west would be dumb as shit. Chiefs, Seahawks and Broncos all in one division. Good grief.

ClockShot 01-05-2016 08:31 PM

The Adam Gase offense didn't do much in Chicago. Think you're gonna need a QB of the Manning or Brady caliber if that's what he's gonna implement if you hire him.

Unless they bring in an O.C. and they do their own thing, then whatever.

ClockShot 01-05-2016 08:33 PM

As far as the teams relocating go, Rams is the logical choice. They're isolated from all the other teams in their conference and they were in L.A. originally.

Oakland would be my second choice. No real reason for San Diego to move.

road doggy dogg 01-05-2016 08:44 PM

Rams do seem the most logical. Raiders are one of the few NFL franchises that have an identity of sorts, would be poop to see them move back to LA

According to ESPN, the LA relocation voting is rumored to include a third option which is Rams and Raiders being paired together. Rams proposed the option but still waiting on the Raiders if they want to bail out on the Chargers or not to be made official.

Owners currently meeting to vote on if LA will get a team and who it will be.

Evil Vito 01-12-2016 08:19 PM

Spanos promises to give San Diego a "fair chance" to agree to a stadium deal before they officially decide to go to LA, but he's often times been full of shit. After all of these years I can see why Archie didn't want Eli to go there.

Evil Vito 01-12-2016 08:21 PM

Also I'll feel really gutted for San Diego if/when the Chargers move becomes official. St. Louis is clearly a baseball city and the Cardinals are good every year. San Diego will be left with nothing but the lousy Padres.

ClockShot 01-12-2016 08:48 PM

I don't know if the Davis family is really stupid or really smart. Either get out of the dump, or go build your own. It's that simple.

Just how much money is the NFL gonna give Oakland if they decide to stay? Football stadiums ain't cheap these days with costs crossing into the billions with Metlife Stadium and AT&T Stadium.

Simple Fan 01-12-2016 08:49 PM

Makes the most since. Rams in LA just sounds right. I would hate to see the Raiders in San Antonio but if thats what it takes to get them a new stadium then so be it. Color scheme would at least match the Spurs though.

ClockShot 01-12-2016 08:50 PM

Good for the Rams for getting a hell of a lot closer to their division rivals. Bad for St. Louis losing a team. Blues & Cardinals ain't going away anytime soon.

Simple Fan 01-12-2016 08:56 PM

Rams really made St. Louis look bad. I dont even know if an expansion franchise would even consider them for a team if the league were to expand.

You're forgetting The Greatest Show on Turf. Those were good years.

Simple Fan 01-12-2016 09:37 PM

Evil Vito 01-12-2016 09:42 PM

The Chargers are in a tough spot now. They aren't going to love the terms of a potential move to LA, Rams would stand to get the concessions money and a cut of ticket sales since the stadium would be owned by Kroenke.

At the same time, they totally threw their fans under the bus and it's tough to see the taxpayers voting for a new stadium.

wait what

why is that even an option (Raiders going to San Diego)

seems absurd, if the city can't even manage to keep the Chargers why the hell would a) the Raiders want to b) be able to move there

Evil Vito 01-12-2016 09:59 PM

San Diego don't want to lose their team and the NFL really doesn't want to lose that market. The problem is Spanos is a bit of an asshole and the city is pissed off at the Chargers from throwing them under the bus. Enough so that if the Chargers leave they might be enticed to actually give money to the Raiders to keep a team in the area.

Most likely though San Diego would just be used as a bargaining chip by the Raiders to try to get Oakland to fork over money.

Evil Vito 01-12-2016 10:00 PM

Also worth noting that the Chargers and Raiders both will be given money by the NFL to try and work out stadium deals with their current cities. The Chargers were given more than the Raiders, which suggests that the league doesn't actually want the Chargers to relocate if they can avoid it.

Fail to see how 2 LA teams isn't going to bomb spectacularly.

With the way the rumors were going near the end, seemed like the NFL wanted the Chargers to do a sole bid to move to LA while the Raiders would have taken over San Diego or St Louis for moving purposes if all were to leave.

Chargers being way too committed to the Chargers-Raiders plan to budge and Raiders giving several hints they'd be willing to back out probably made the NFL think Chargers were more likely to stay between the two. The Chargers getting $100 million seems like the NFL knows it would be enough to sway them to stay since the Raiders are going to bolt the second they get the opportunity now.

St Louis as a possible choice for the Raiders got thrown under the bus when the Rams owner trashed the city in his relocation letter.

Nark Order 01-13-2016 12:55 PM

The Raiders might do well to wait this out a little bit longer. Oakland is no longer the hell hole that it used to be and there is money all over the place there. As Oakland slowly gets gentrified into San Francisco 2, opportunities for a new stadium are going to present themselves eventually. Oakland is fated to become just a town of investors and millionaires. Between the money given for stadium upgrades by the NFL and private investors, something can probably happen

Nark Order 01-13-2016 01:01 PM

And if the Chargers have to stay in San Diego next year, that is going to be fucking bananas to watch. The fans already checked out at the beginning of this season. They totally feel betrayed by that organization. I'm sure if the Chargers end up staying, management will try to spin it like they never actually wanted to leave or something. It's all a clusterfuck.

Baltimore had it done to them with the Colts. I was 2 when it happened so i dont remember it but there are plenty of people in Baltimore who 30+ years later are still not over it despite getting the Ravens 20 years ago.
