I don't think so. Pretty sure he was one of those guys they moved just because they needed to "shake up" the rosters by moving X number of guys.

Was a shame really, I liked Palumbo and dug his feud with Noble.

#BROKEN Hasney 01-06-2012 12:02 PM

lol @ JR kicking Michael Cole in the nuts in a blatantly heel move back in 1999 and the crowd popping.

Water bottles hit so hard.

Lock Jaw 01-06-2012 01:59 PM

Yeah, never bought the water bottle as a deadly weapon. Almost seems like it would not even hurt as much as a regular punch. Bones > Crinkly Plastic.

Bill Goldberg vs Brock Lesner Dream Match

Jim Ross was asked on Twitter about the possibility of a match pitting Brock Lesnar against Bill Goldberg at next year’s WrestleMania.

“@Goldberg vs Lesnar at WM29 would be miraculous ie HIGHLY UNLIKELY,” he tweeted.

Goldberg, despite his displeasure for WWE and company head Vince McMahon over the years, says he’s interested in the bout. He wrote Friday, “……I’d do it.”

Goldberg last competed for WWE at WrestleMania XX in a match against Lesnar with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin serving as special guest referee. The match garnered a hostile reaction from the audience due to knowledge that both competitors were leaving the promotion. After Goldberg defeated Lesnar, both wrestlers were met with a Stone Cold Stunner.

Meanwhile, Goldberg still apparently views Chris Jericho in a negative light nine years after the two last worked together. A fan wrote to the former wrestling champion Monday, “Y2J sucks u should have came out there & speared him.” He responded, “Would have been my pleasure.”

Could it be possible? Could WWE build up Goldberg like WCW had, and make this one of the most epic matches in sports entertainment?

Goldberg has continually said he was interested in one more match, so has Lesner.

Could there be a 3 way match? Stone Cold vs Goldberg vs Lesner, in revenge for the stunners so long ago? Stone Cold has expressed interest in one more match, with such big men, this could be the perfect match.

Your Thoughts.

Corporate CockSnogger 01-06-2012 03:56 PM

Nah mate, it's 2012.

Stealth-Icon 01-06-2012 04:00 PM

Nightmare match would be more appropriate

Taker it Easy 01-06-2012 04:07 PM

This is not a dream of mine.

F goldburg.

Emperor Smeat 01-06-2012 04:07 PM

Nah it wouldn't be any good and just end up taking up a spot that could be used for a better developed or promoted match at Mania.

I think cost-wise, Goldberg still is asking for a lot of money which is why not even TNA managed to bring him to their shows.

I thought the crowd hated the first match more because of how boring and half-assed it was than the wrestlers actually leaving the company.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-06-2012 04:12 PM

ahahaha Goldberg is still mad that he picked a fight with Jericho and Jericho embarrassed him in front of the boys in the back

marvelous

Love Goldberg to come back though.

Anyone who would actually want to see this is either a tremendous Goldberg mark or is just plain derpy in the head. :nono:

You are correct sir. :y:

Majunior 01-06-2012 06:30 PM

Yeah, can't say I'd give a rat's ass about Goldberg. He was just a talentless hack who believed his own hype.

And he shouldn't talk shit about Jericho. Chris beat his ass once, he'll do it again. :)

ace3025 01-06-2012 06:42 PM

Goldberg is my personal favorite, mainly because I stated watching right before the nWo formed and I watched his popularity and streak (as bloated as it was) get insane.

but there's no way I would ever want to see Lesnar and Goldberg face each other again. The match sucked, and showed just how little they both cared.
Lesnar can be worth money because of his UFC endeavours, but theres nothing that can resurect peoples interest in Goldberg. He's been gone too long, and done WAY too little to keep himself relevant.

And if WWE just has to have a "goldberg" character, they could easily repackage Mason Ryan or Skip Sheffield into an undeafeted, unstoppable, drooling, squash monster

TheAdamEvansFan 01-06-2012 06:50 PM

Has there been a wrestler since Goldberg that people chanted for before he came out, and continued until the match began?

I know we get Cena chants and counter chants during the match, but I'm thinking like to this magnitude. I remember as a kid, it was astonishing.

I'm a huge mark of Bill Goldberg, sleeping in my local mall to get the first autograph.

And I believe he has remained relevant, he has hosted and co hosted countless shows that just catch the interest of a different selection of people just like Lesner has.

If WWE makes films, I'm sure they could set the tide for a great showdown vs the two, or even putting Austin in as the 3rd man....

I HATE the idea of Taker wrestling again... I mean, seriously. TRIPLE H AGAIN? Taker can't even wrestle, his character is stale... Atleast Kane finally got repackaged.

Jura 01-06-2012 06:57 PM

If it will be entertaining then why not? I'm not really a fan of either Goldburns or Lesnar but if WWE can pull something off then good deal.

BizarroKing 01-06-2012 07:14 PM

OldTurd

Rammsteinmad 01-06-2012 07:21 PM

I'm sure Lesnar and Goldberg would be a HUUUUUGE draw in 2013.

Rammsteinmad 01-06-2012 07:21 PM

Do people today even know who Goldberg is?

The chanting was awesome, piped in or not. The entrance as a whole is one of, if not THE, best!!

Doing stuff and doing stuff that matters is quite different in terms of staying relevant

Lesnar dominated the WWE, and then went out and dominated the UFC. This is drastically more relevant than hosting "Bullrun" and failing out on "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader", and lets not forget "Santa's Sley".

Rammsteinmad 01-06-2012 07:30 PM

By dominated, I assume you're not talking about losing his first fight, and then getting thrashed in his last two?

ace3025 01-06-2012 07:35 PM

Dominated as in almost making himself a hulk hogan of UFC. He started bad and due to health issues lost it at the end. But he took off like a rocket. For a good while there, he was unbeatable and his presence plaster the already rising sport, along with his name, all over the media. Brock Lesnar WAS UFC for a while.

To rise to the top of both aveunes the way he did qualifies as dominating

Savio 01-06-2012 07:41 PM

I dont think they can top their last match

Heard this loads of times in regards to Nash and that.

I think everyone underestimates the intelligence of a kid watching wrestling.

When I first started watching in 98 I still knew who Andre the Giant, Warrior, Rick Rude, etc were, and its even easier now with Youtube and stuff like that.

Everyone knew who Bret Hart was when he came back, Goldberg is at least as big a name as him.

Nicky Fives 01-06-2012 07:57 PM

It didn't work out well the first time, and I doubt it would work out well the second time.....

Schlomey 01-06-2012 07:58 PM

If the WWE built it up correctly and reminded (taught) the audience that Goldberg/Lesnar existed it could be freaking huge. Good? Probably not as good. But it would add a big featured match probably similar in size to Hart vs McMahon. Not in quality but in size.
