Pompey match should be fun and I hope West Ham rape Sheff Utd.

The Mackem 01-10-2005 02:09 PM

Everton away, we might do another giant upset to go with the Palace one

The Mackem 01-10-2005 02:09 PM

Oh yeah, where's Oxstar? :D

Rob 01-10-2005 02:29 PM

Still can't believe we didn't smash Exeter into next week. Bloody embarrassment.

diothoir 01-10-2005 03:04 PM

Chelsea better smash Birmingham

Cactus Sid 01-10-2005 08:58 PM

I'm posting this now for people tomorrow, but did anyone watch Trouble At The Top on BBC2 last night?

Really interesting documentary on Luton Town and the goings on in the board room, fascinating, shows how evil some people are when it comes to money.

Cactus Sid 01-11-2005 08:24 PM

According to Rafa we'll sign Morientes for 6 million tomorrow, and he might be registered in time to face United.

Danny Electric 01-11-2005 11:01 PM

As much as I like Morientes, that doesn't help us in the Champions League.

Gravesen on his way to Madrid?

I think we've got to be realistic, if we can get anywhere in the Champions League with what we've got, great, but realistically we need to concentrate on qualifying for the Champions League next season, and Morientes will help that.

Wengerland 01-12-2005 07:48 AM

Hopefully Liverpool get Morientes in time for the United game, i know Mellor and Sinama-Pongolle have done alright in Cisse and Baros' absence but i'd b much more excited about the game if it was Baros and Morientes up front.

I hope Gravo doesn't leave Everton too, good player with a personality to match. I don't think he'd fit in personality-wise at Real Madrid.

Oh yeah i saw that, good stuff. The manager idol thing was a bit dumb but overall it was a good insight really.

I wanted to punch that Gurney bloke at the end of it when he said something like: "if they want me to walk away i'll make sure there's nothing to walk away from"

Cactus Sid 01-12-2005 08:35 AM

Well the good thing about it is that he ended up with nothing and Luton are now doing pretty well for themselves

Atletico fined after Carlos abuse

Atletico Madrid have been fined 600 euros (£420) for the racist chanting aimed at Real Madrid full-back Roberto Carlos during the La Liga derby.

The Spanish FA's disciplinary committee decided Sunday's incidents were only a minor misdemeanour.

Referee Alfonso Perez Burrull asked Atletico to put out an announcement on the stadium's PA system asking the fans to stop, in the 83rd minute.

However, the PA announcement resulted in an increase in the chanting.

The Spanish FA released a statement regarding the punishment.

"We wish to repeat our condemnation of this kind of behaviour and repeat our promise to act with maximum firmness to eradicate any display of racism or xenophobia in Spanish football," it read.

The fine is exactly the same amount Albacete were fined before Christmas when Barcelona striker Samuel Eto's was racially abused in Atletico's Carlos Belmonte stadium.

Burrull was again the referee for that contest, but on that occasion Albacete refused his request to make an announcement on their PA.

Their fine was reduced to 300 euros (£210) on appeal, but the fans who did the chanting were singled out by other supporters and fined 6,000 euros (£4,100) each, as well as receiving a five-month ban from other sporting events.

ahaha 400 quid

Wengerland 01-12-2005 11:03 AM

Yeah, that'll teach 'em.

toxic rooster 01-12-2005 06:44 PM

FIFA against racism

Wengerland 01-12-2005 08:10 PM

Chelsea vs Man U finished 0-0, not a bad game though.

Juventus have signed Mutu aswell, though he can't play for them until May 18th. That means he is available to play in the champions league final if they get there.

Ogen 01-12-2005 08:20 PM

Nice bit of buisness for them 5 year deal 20,000 a week for a player who could be fantastic if he pulls himself togethere,

Sorry, just found that link last night and I can't help myself. :D

toxic rooster 01-13-2005 01:02 AM

Is that the Greece thing?

toxic rooster 01-13-2005 01:39 AM

Drogba's chokehold.

If he gets charged on video evidence and suspended for three games, Chelsea will cry foul because he got booked and therefore shouldn't be charged later on, a la van Persie who got away with that elbow.

If he doesn't get charged on video evidence and suspended for three games, ManYoo will cry foul because Rooney got charged and suspended for three games for less on video evidence.

Can't win, ay

Ogen 01-13-2005 04:34 AM

Fortune was being a complete arse though I'd have choked him myself.

Dazz 01-13-2005 11:27 AM

No one fucks with Drogba, Kezman or Terry, you will get battered, United are the pussiest team in the league, and how anyone can think Heinze is hard is a joke. He came with a reputation of being hard, he crunched some bloke in the Champions League near the touchline at Old Trafford earlier this season, which probably made me think he was hard, but last nights game proved he is as pussy and girly as the rest of Argentina, they will never win a war if pussies like him are deemed to be hard. What a fucking joke.

Maluco 01-13-2005 01:45 PM

That is a joke really mate, but sorry, Keane or Carroll would batter any of those three you mentioned, and as for players thinking they ae hard, Kezman is the prime example. Maybe if he actually starts playing first team football and isn't bollox he can start his stupid taunting. Drogba beating up anyone, lol

Rob 01-13-2005 01:49 PM

No one fucks with Drogba, Terry and Kezman? Get a "viamolin" and tell play it to someone who cares. Yeah Chelsea are a such a bad arse team and Man United are pussies. That's why Chelsea are crying about everything. Drogba was crying about the referees watch from the 46th minute. £24 million of useless tosser. And as for Fortune, check the picture posted. He was only willing to fight your whole team after it took all of them to drag him from Drogba.

As for never winning wars, where are you from again? Iran? :p

Dazz 01-13-2005 01:59 PM

I am half English, only a quarter Iranian.

Drogba would have ended Fortune, Terry is always up for a ruck, the way he pushed Graveson round at Stamford Bridge earlier this season was great. Kezman is a fucking pitbull, he goes in hard and he looks like he is hard too, he would fucking do Keano, Carrol or Fortune, I am shocked Roy Carrol even got a mention, are you Irish, Fallen.

Fortune willing to fight our whole team is bollocks and you know it, Harvey, if anything he knew back up would arrive, plus trying to wind our whole team up would result in us getting in the shit, which he may have also had in mind. He knew no would would punch him during the match, I'd like to see him even think about taking on our whole team, or even just Drogba on his own, if he saw them in the streets,

Didn't look to hard when Fortune put in a tough challenge.

Rob 01-13-2005 02:27 PM

Bless you Dazz for thinking so much of Drogba. His mum doesn't think this much of him

Dazz 01-13-2005 02:33 PM

And you didn't think too much of forlan

Rob 01-13-2005 02:44 PM

Still do mate. Still do.

The Mask 01-13-2005 02:45 PM

that's the good thing about this new utd team, they could probably kick the shit out of just about anyone

Dazz 01-13-2005 02:54 PM

Mask, you are only kidding yourself.

The Mask 01-13-2005 02:58 PM

shut your mouth. we are awesome. heinze, fortune, keane, djemba (although he should get nowhere near the pitch), smith and rooney, and possibly carroll too, although keepers can't do much. we have a pretty awesome team as far as getting stuck in goes.

The Mask 01-13-2005 03:04 PM

shame we don't still have stam too though, watching ivan zamarano bounce off his chest was great.

Ogen 01-13-2005 03:59 PM

Gav McCann and Olaf Mellburg would kill them all.

PSIcological 01-13-2005 04:08 PM

its been too long since i was last on

I have to say andy hessenthaler, alan pouton and barry ashby could probably batter all the above. And who are you united fans trying to kid, i mean come on, anyone remember how very frightened keane, the supposed real hard man, was of shearer

The Mask 01-13-2005 04:53 PM
