Pretty gutting for the Rays tbh. Between the late-season surge, turning a triple play in the 2nd to last game of the year, and coming down from 7-0 to win the final game...it almost felt like they were a team of destiny.

Aguakate 10-04-2011 06:32 PM

If only David Price would've lived up to expectations...

Emperor Smeat 10-04-2011 06:47 PM

Wouldn't matter that much if Price had been good because the Rays haven't matched up well against the Rangers for at least the last 2-3 years in a row.

Not 100% sure but I think even the Yankees struggled a bit this season against the Rangers and the Red Sox had some problems with the Rangers hitting power earlier in the season.

Aguakate 10-04-2011 06:51 PM

So "Elimination Tuesday" off to a fast start with the Rays going down.

We'll see about the Yankees and D'Backs.

Triple Naitch 10-04-2011 07:27 PM

Bye Rays.

chieflikeanindian 10-04-2011 07:29 PM

Lets's go Rangers!!! Hopefully St Louie can knock off the Phillies they scare me x0

Aguakate 10-04-2011 07:33 PM

If the Yankees somehow come back against the Tigers and win the series, they'll get eaten up by the Rangers.

The Rangers made the World Series last year, but they are an even better team this year. They have a better bullpen, they added Mike Napoli and Adrian Beltre...I mean...they're scary.

Testicle 10-04-2011 07:38 PM

Tigers are winning the WS. Its over, the rest of you can go home now.

Innovator 10-04-2011 09:38 PM

Let's see if AJ gets squeezed tonight like CC did.

Innovator 10-04-2011 09:41 PM

BTW, I hate fans with waive towels.

OssMan 10-04-2011 09:41 PM

aint no reason to even play the game

ClockShot 10-04-2011 10:18 PM

Well, the Cubs have asked the Red Sox for permission to interview Theo Epstein for their GM opening. No other details have been released.

Dodgers decline the options of Casey Blake and Jon Garland.

Innovator 10-04-2011 10:59 PM

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME JETER

Nervous Ferret 10-04-2011 11:03 PM

A-Rod, looking for that elusive first hit of the postseason.

Innovator 10-04-2011 11:06 PM

At least A-Rod is being somewhat productive with his outs, Tex has done complete and utter dick.

Innovator 10-04-2011 11:12 PM

Holy shit AJ made it through 5.

Innovator 10-04-2011 11:34 PM

Now the fans can go on with their lives like they do April through August.

Evil Vito 10-05-2011 01:28 AM

Yanks won the series. They're going home, Nova's proven he can perform in the playoffs, and they've already thoroughly fisted Fister. When you allow AJ Burnett to beat you, you know you're sunk.

Hardkore Kidd J 10-05-2011 07:43 AM

THANK YOU GOD! I am really loving this Granderson trade now . Without Granderson making that unbelievable diving catch in the fifth we would have been done. We still got one more game to go hopefully we can beat Fister again. But, Texas is gonna be really, really, tough. If there's any team that's gonna win the World Series. Unfortunately I think it's gonna be them.

RP 10-05-2011 08:06 AM

Pretty pumped about that game 5. Tigers should say fuck it and start Verlander.

ClockShot 10-05-2011 08:23 AM

10-1 beatdown, Blownett comes through, Rothschild kept him cool, and game 5 is forced.

Feeling pretty good right now.

ClockShot 10-05-2011 08:28 AM

Reggie Jackson called. He wants his nickname back.

He last pitched on Monday. Hmmmmmmmm..............If we were having game 5 tonight I'd say pitching on 2 days rest is very risky. Pitching on 3 days rest is still kinda risky. I don't know if they should do it.

RP 10-05-2011 09:23 AM

Do you trust Doug Fister in a series deciding game?

RP 10-05-2011 09:25 AM

What's really dumb is the talk that CC might get time in the bullpen. If you're gunna waste him for a potential game 1 ALCS start, it better be because he started game 5 .

Tb1 10-05-2011 07:11 PM

Helluva start for the Cards

The New York media is a joke. They get on Burnett because of his struggles all season long, then he pitches well last night and they all of a sudden put him on the front page and call him "Mr October", which puts unwanted pressure on him, and if he struggles ONCE this playoffs, you'll see the media wiping the floor with him again.

ClockShot 10-05-2011 09:08 PM

Notice the bottle of liquor underneath the picture. This is what me and Inno mean when AJ Burnett has a good game. He sobered up.

ClockShot 10-05-2011 09:15 PM

Girardi is putting Sabathia in the bullpen for game 5. In case of emergency.

Leyland is giving Verlander the night off.

Most of that was just me worried about facing Verlander again that's all. ;) As a Yankee fan I TRUST Fister will be a much easier Challenge then Verlander. :)

McLegend 10-05-2011 09:44 PM

OMG The Phillies offense is so bad. Maybe the worst 100 win offensive teams of all time.

They are horrible.

The atmosphere in Arizona is fantastic.

RP 10-05-2011 10:41 PM

Nijer Morgan is about due for some sort of controversy.

RP 10-05-2011 10:44 PM
