Wrestler-turned-reality TV star Hulk Hogan has sensationally revealed he was once asked to consider joining Metallica.

The beloved WWF star was a session musician before he turned to the ring, and he admits his career almost took a very different path.

He tells The Sun newspaper, "I played bass guitar. I was big pals with Lars Ulrich and he asked me if I wanted to play bass with Metallica in their early days but it didn't work out."

To be fair the Hogan interview says he spoke to The Sun. Probably more chance of them being the ones chatting shit than Hogan.

Found Hardocre Holly to be so dull when he got a mini-push on Smackdown and on WWECW, but honest to god forgot how damn entertaining he was being a super-heavyweght and claiming to be the leader of the Underdtaker and Big Show.

This is even before Crash and I know he gets brilliant then.
