Knowing WWE they would just make ECIII Derrick Bateman again and he'd go back to jobbing on SmackDown.

I swear Jericho is the best on twitter during live TV events.....

Well that was awkward.
|
Tom Phillips has a very manly chest. No manscaping necessary.
|
Really looking forward to Money in the Bank. Should have Rollins vs Reigns, hopefully the let the women have a MitB ladder match. Feel like AJ Styles is the only guy to give the briefcase to. In a perfect scenario Balor gets involved in New Day/Anderson&Gallows and The Club win the tag titles. Later on in the night all three help AJ grab the briefcase and Bulletproof is born.
|
Absolutely love the name Bulletproof.
|
I don't know why the New Day keeps undressing Tom Phillips. So not complaining, though.
|
Jack Swagger rumored to be the next one to give their notice to the WWE according to the Observer's forums. Something about a huge argument backstage and him storming out of the building happening prior to the start of last night's ppv.
|
Wouldn't be surprised. WWE wouldn't be any worse off for losing Swagger (or Cody for that matter).
|
No more swaggie time.

I said it last night and I'll say it again. Dude has a major set. Side note: ROFL at the "date" in the title. |

Reigns could be the best heel in a long time if only they would push him that way.

Ouch. Funny how that move went form being a suplex into a sit out tombstone, later variations he just seemed to grab them into a tombstone position and the suplex element vanished. |
He used to be so fucking good before he took all the steroids around.

Swagger leaving would be entirely unsurprising. They've had absolutely nothing for him for ages.

Dana Brooke as Ric Flair was months in the making |
"WWF Did You Know"
This was a story that was out there in 1991. Hulk Hogan was on an episode of the Barbershop after Wrestlemania 7. Brutus asks Hogan what he's going to do when Slaughter sprays Agent Orange on the little Hulkamaniacs (agent orange is a poison). This caused a drop in House Show attendance because parents were afraid that their kids were going to be poisoned. I have heard the promo and I sooooo want this to be true even though it's probably not |
 that is amazing if true
|
Isn't his entire wrestling history the WWE's developmental system? It's incredible to think of how good he could get if he went elsewhere and got some more tips from guys. He can protect himself a lot better too. Would love to see him doing a super-pro-American gaijin gimmick in Japan.

Something I thought about, what with the Wyatts being out: Luke Harper is just as important to the Wyatt Family than even Bray Wyatt.
I don't mean this strictly because of his in ring work. But, because, when Luke is healthy and Bray isn't, they still had Wyatt Family segments. With both out, you got two other guys who are healthy, but are more or less doing nothing. |

Lol oh dear God. That should be interesting.

I was thinking about the AJ/Gallows/Anderson stuff on RAW. It seemed a little soft and almost too much of a foreshadowing. My first thought was "They're going to beat-down Styles and we're going to get him and a partner versus Gallows & Anderson at MITB." Finn Balor crossed my mind, but then I thought about John Cena needing something to do. I'm not really keen on seeing him facing Rusev again this early on. Cena vs. Del Rio is also too...meh. It's no fault of Del Rio's, but he just doesn't feel "major" at this point.
Then I thought to myself: I think Anderson was the guy saying "I hope you reconsider" or something as they were walking off from Styles -- who then lost his match clean. What if next week they have Cena cutting a promo in the ring about some unfinished business he has, then Gallows & Anderson come waltzing out. They head to the ring and start to beat on Cena. AJ Styles hits the ring and pulls them off...then he starts beating Cena too. AJ Styles & The Club were listed as house show opponents for like Cena, Reigns & Ambrose or something. Styles deciding that maybe he does need them could be an interesting turn of events for him. Thinking of potential New Day opponents at Money in the Bank too -- and you do have to consider them somewhat of a priority for the company at this point -- Gallows & Anderson are the best fit. You can have them re-align with Styles who challenges Cena while they going after the tag straps. Cena vs. Styles would be something special. AJ is also arguably one of the best workers in the company, so if someone can drag something out of a 60% John Cena, he's as good an option as anyone not currently in the Ladder Match. Eventually you bring in Finn Balor as the fourth man to The Club and build tensions between him and Styles. It's potentially a lot of turns for Styles, but he's going to be cheered against Cena anyway, so it could kind of be a "shades of grey" thing, like what they were doing with Styles and Reigns. But they seemed to distance themselves from that this week on RAW. I guess you could also have Cena vs. Styles completely babyface with the ever-looming threat of Anderson & Gallows hanging over the match. I'd mark the fuck out if they helped John Cena, but that's not happening. |
Thinking about what's going on, here's my ideal Money in the Bank card:
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins John Cena vs. AJ Styles Women's Championship Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch Special Guest Referee: Ric Flair NOTE: The Ric Flair inclusion isn't necessary, and I feel the company is done with him on-air at this point, but it'd play off the emotion this week to have Stephanie announce that due to Charlotte's actions, she's appointed him the referee. There is the emotional turmoil of Flair wanting to win his daughter's love back, him being scorned by her, the prestige of the championship, etc. Does he just call it down the middle? Is he going to screw his daughter to teach her some humility? Is he going to help her retain as a "I do love you" move? Money in the Bank Ladder Match Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro vs. Chris Jericho vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens vs. Kofi Kingston vs. United States Champion Rusev WWE Tag Team Championship The New Day (c) vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson Intercontinental Championship The Miz (c) vs. Randy Orton NOTE: I'm not sure if Orton is ready to return. In the quarterly investors' meeting, Vince implied that he'd be back soon. There's very few places to insert Orton. I could see The Miz talking up the prestige of the championship and his role in the company and Orton just coming back and giving him the RKO to set something up. Simple and elegant. Orton doing for the IC Title what Cena did for the US Title last year could be pretty neat. If Orton's not ready, you can slip Kane, Big Show or Mark Henry into this role and have them play the babyface big guy that you think Miz has no chance against, but he finds a way to retain anyway. Those matches may not be pretty, but they're something different in contrast to the rest of the card, and say what you will, I do feel that they've been off TV enough for them to have that casual fan attraction on a minor level, especially against such a perfect douchebag like The Miz. 10-Man Tag Team Match Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Baron Corbin & The Dudley Boyz vs. Apollo Crews, Kalisto, Dolph Ziggler, Enzo & Cass NOTE: It seems like they're setting these programs up separately, but if you run everything else, there's not really that much room for them on a seven match card. Sheamus & The Dudleys are both playing these heel thugs that want respect from the newer generation, and putting Crews with Enzo & Cass might help endear him to fans. Corbin and Ziggler could do something on the Kickoff again, but you could throw them in here for some main card shine. You can also do something with Corbin's "Lone Wolf" persona not getting along with the others. Del Rio and Kalisto are random additions, but I can imagine they want a Hispanic presence on the show. Kalisto is going to need something to rebound with after Rusev, so I can see him working some more television matches with Del Rio (I know, it's not very exciting) and they continue that tension here. It's a clusterfuck, but it gets a few prominent players on the show to highlight their stronger points. I originally had this as a mere six-man with Sheamus & The Dudleys vs. Crews, Enzo & Cass, but the inclusion of Ziggler, Corbin, Del Rio & Kalisto somewhat makes sense. Kickoff Match Natalya vs. Dana Brooke |
