That was class at the end when Todorov dived and then was all like ;) at Wenger

owned

I hope you lads stay up anyway, Steve Bruce and Bryan Robson can fuck off down to the championship.

Have you guys thought about this? What if Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool and Tottenham finish in the top 4, Arsenal win the Champions League, and Middlesbrough win the Uefa cup. What will this hold for Champions league spots? There was all that controversy last year with Liverpool winning the Champions league, now you'd have 2 teams complaining.

Y3J 04-12-2006 09:19 PM

It's quite simple, the top four would be in CL with Arseholes because they intro'd the rule where the winner gets an automatic place. Boro would be in UEFA cup. Why would Boro winning the UC have an effect? They don't get a CL place by winning the UC.

diothoir 04-13-2006 12:51 AM

Nah, if Arsenal win, they get the fourth Champions League spot instead of Spurs. Liverpool had to give up their country protection thing to get in, through a loophole. Anyway, UEFA now say only 4 teams maximum can qualify from one country now.

packt up 04-13-2006 05:42 AM

Yeah if Arsenal win, which looks their most realistic route back in, then Spurs would miss out. That'd amuse me no end.

RBF ({) I guess you did deserve it to be honest. It was like the Arsenal of old (i.e before the invincibles) gorgeous football, guilty of walking it in to the net a few too many times, should have been about 4-0 up only to draw. And yeah LOL at Todorov right in front of Wenger. (Easy) Third Eye city.

Y3J 04-13-2006 09:25 AM

If Arsenal win, they don't take Spurs' spot. They both get in so we would have five teams. The only reason for the new role (winner gets automnatic place) is because Liverpool had to go through qualifying for this year's CL and they don't want that to happen again.

Team Sheep 04-13-2006 09:36 AM

Yeah but don't the Uefa cup winners get a birth in the Champions league? That's what I was told before.

Y3J 04-13-2006 09:44 AM

I don't think so, unless they've changed the rules again.

packt up 04-13-2006 12:39 PM

Nah Y3J Arsenal definitely boot Spurs out if they win it. 4 teams max from any country now. I think if the winner came from a country with only 3 qualifiers anyway they would get 4 but 4 is definitely the maximum.

Here's an article confirming.

And I don't believe the UEFA cup winners get into the Champions League except through their own league.

Wengerland 04-13-2006 01:28 PM

Rob Kelly will be unveiled as our new manager tomorrow. LOVE IT

I didn't see the Pompey game so i was stuck with Boro/Charlton, or a club with shit home support against one with shit away support. That said, when Charlton's fans were booing every Boro player when they had the ball in the early stages i did think it was the Boro fans. I was thinking ':| you're not even losing yet, you cunts'

Couldn't agree more, that was the most spirited, determined performance I have seen all season. I've said before, and I stand by it, Sunderland have not played THAT badly all season. They just can't score goals.

As much as I hate Chelsea, I'd rather they won the title than have the Manc fans go on and on about how they stole the title from them, so thank you Sunderland very much :D

Danny Electric 04-14-2006 06:54 PM

Haha Rooney showed tonight why he is over-rated and so did that goofy Ronaldo.
And Ferguson was disapointing in his decisions.

You stupid cock! Everyone knows Manc's only support City :p

Cactus Sid 04-15-2006 07:48 AM

I said Manc fans :p Not Mancs.

17th Anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster today.

I was watching this program last night (on of all things ESPN Classics) on Liverpool between 1960 and 1990, they showed footage of us scoring at the Kop, before the seating, and the rush to the front whenever we scored. I can only imagine after seeing that, what it was like that day in Sheffield.

R.I.P to the Hillsborough 96 - YNWA

Flair Wooo 04-15-2006 09:11 AM

Lmao:D :D all the mancs in the pub going on about how there gonna beat chelski to the title and they couldn't even beat sunderland :D loved it

I'll be very happy if we can get Gattuso or Mascherano in next season. Both would be sweet! Probably can do with another right winger too.
