are we to believe that Kane came to the event earlier in the evning and placed that wheelchair there?

Corndad 02-19-2012 10:33 PM

Love there was a wheelchair under the ring.

Stealth-Icon 02-19-2012 10:34 PM

Seriously? The big red monster can't carry Cena over his back, he needs a wheelchair?

FourFifty 02-19-2012 10:34 PM

My fav Kane moment remains to be during his feud with Shane... the car battery... the jumper cables... Shane's junk....

That was pretty funny using the random guy's seat.

El Fangel 02-19-2012 10:39 PM

Is everyone else waiting for someone to get involved in this match too?

FourFifty 02-19-2012 10:39 PM

I'm waiting for James Storm to get involved.

FourFifty 02-19-2012 10:40 PM

I'll also accept Bobby Roode.

Stealth-Icon 02-19-2012 10:40 PM

Corporate CockSnogger 02-19-2012 10:48 PM

I get that hyping Cena up for WM is the smart thing to do, but that match probably shouldn't have ended the PPV.

What Would Kevin Do? 02-19-2012 10:50 PM

Well, that was anti-climatic.

Meh at the ambulance match although the AA from the top of the ambulance was a good spot. Hopefully now the Kane-Cena feud can end considering Cena barely embraced the hate while Ryder got the crap beaten out of him.

PPV was pretty good with the ending to the Smackdown chamber being amazing and the Raw chamber being good overall. Divas match was also pretty good.

FourFifty 02-19-2012 10:50 PM

Legit not too happy with the PPV overall. The chamber matches were alright, the divas match was a piss break, Cena vs Kane was surprisingly anticlimactic (considering the last spot), but it was cool to see Justin job on tv instead of reading about a dark match. Wouldn't mind seeing Justin and Heath work a program for a US/IC title shot, or put them back into the tag team scene... Hell, I could even see Justin and Kofi team up.

Blakeamus 02-19-2012 10:51 PM

The first PPV that I was quite disappointed in since before the MITB PPV. RAW Elimination Chamber was great and the Santino/Bryan shit was entertaining but the rest was that poo.

Immortal Moose 02-19-2012 10:52 PM

Wish I saw the Raw chamber

Frank Drebin 02-19-2012 10:55 PM

....to answer your question FourFifty.... This "in-between" PPV is hard to make good on while trying to save all the goods for 'Mainia. Not impressed with it going in so wasn't expecting much from it tonight. Just was happy to see some wrasslin'

Honestly I thought the Smackdown one was better but Im a Santino fan so....

Mr. JL 02-19-2012 10:56 PM

The Cena/Kane match was pretty fucking fun until the poorly executed chokeslam through the announce table and the Attitude Adjustment that we don't get to fully see finish. :(

Schlomey 02-19-2012 11:01 PM

QUICK HALF DRUNK AND VERY TIRED PPV REVIEW

1. Raw Elimination Chamber Match - 3 out of 5
2. Divas Match - 3 out of 5
3. Smackdown Elimination Chamber Match - 3 out of 5
4. Swagger vs Gabriel - 2 out of 5
5. Cena vs kane - 2 out of 5

Overall 14 out of 25

I'd say it was not quite shit but def. a misstep just weeks away from "the big one". The SD EC match which I expected to SUCK did totally suck at first and then it got better...the reasons I thought it would suck ended up being the reason that it was so compelling...Never would have guessed that.

DirtyD 02-19-2012 11:02 PM

Im a loser so I was entertained.

BizarroKing 02-19-2012 11:10 PM

Not gonna lie, hated the ending. Complete and total anti-climax and it pisses me off. I want a new Cena....The fans want a new Cena....Heel turn, or at the least a new direction for his character....do we get either one after tonight? NO! No Rock Promo, no heel turn, nothing....Mania 28 is pretty much gonna be Dead on Arrival.

#1-norm-fan 02-19-2012 11:26 PM

Not gonna lie... and I havent read the rest of this topic... but I'm a little upset Santino didn't win. They did it just the way they should have. But damn... really...

I dunno how anyone could expect a change in Cena's character before Mania considering the way they're building his match. No way they're gonna change up his character in a throwaway feud right before the BIGGEST MATCH IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE

Supreme Olajuwon 02-19-2012 11:41 PM

Kind of a ho hum PPV. Dunno. Was just kinda bleh. No real OMG did you see that moments. No surprise finishes. Very orderly and by the book PPV.

Hopefully that means Wrestlemania will be nuts. WE'LL SEE

If anything it's leading to a turn at Mania. IF there is a turn at all.

XCaliber 02-19-2012 11:50 PM

This PPV was predictable it would have been nice to have at least one swerve also i'd say the RAW chamber match was easily the match of the night.

#1-norm-fan 02-19-2012 11:59 PM

Good Raw chamber ruined with a bump which killed the pace. At least going headfirst into grates hurts less than a camera.

Sd chamber was dull until the end. Show going in DB's chamber was alright, but I could have done without having to watch Show growl and spend what seemed like forever to get in there.

Fuck that ambulance match.

Swagger/Gabriel was great at least.

Razzamajazz 02-20-2012 02:10 AM

whoever the director was sure loved those instant replays and showing them at the worst possible times

glanville6 02-20-2012 02:15 AM

I was there...holy crap, Santino was over as hell. And I wasn't for him being in the match, but by the end of the match...I was into it.

Chamber matches were fun...the rest. Eh.

#1-norm-fan 02-20-2012 04:15 AM

I WATCHED A PPV WHERE A TITLE DIDN'T CHANGE HANDS! SO FURIOUS!

Mr. Pierre 02-20-2012 04:30 AM

Good show overall. Nothing special, but it was definitely a fun show. :y:

-RAW Chamber kicking off was a shock, and this was great stuff. Unorthodox booking going into Mania, with the heel being the one that was "taken out" of the match, and being robbed of an opportunity to become Champion. I loved how they worked on putting over Jericho's finishers in preparation for Mania. Great match by everyone involved, and the seeds planted for Punk/Jericho were mint.

-Divas match was solid. I'm hoping/looking forward to Beth vs. Kharma at Mania. Has potential to be one of the best Divas match since Mickie/Trish (wow, hard to believe that was 6 years ago).

-SD! Chamber started off a bit slow, but once this got rolling, it was great. Some really innovative spots and moments. Show trapping himself in the pod with Bryan was awesome, as was Barrett crushing Bryan's head in the door, and also tying up Santino in the Chamber. The Santino story was amazing. It's incredible that his "push" has been all of 3 days. Hopefully this will carryover into a possible Mania feud/match, and can become a true turning point for Santino's credibility and career. I'm also glad that they didn't pull the plug on Bryan.

-Good to see Christian and Del Rio back.

-Swagger/Gabriel was a classic cool down match. Was whatever, and reminded us that Swagger has a belt.

-Cena/Kane wasn't too hot. Nothing quite memorable here, and was a blah brawl. Really didn't like how decisive the ending was, but I get it. On one side, you need to make Cena look good, since he's facing The Rock in a few weeks. On the other side, I feel like Ryder should have been the first guy to decisively beat Kane, in order to get the full payoff from these ass kickings he's been receiving. Now, when Ryder does eventually beat Kane, it won't be the moment it could have been. The feud with Kane was decent, but it was a double-edged sword for everyone involved.

Nothing special, but the Chambers delivered. I feel like the flow of this show would have been better if the order was: SD Chamber, Divas, Ambulance, US, RAW Chamber

While it was decisive, it was also simply Kane getting put in the back of an ambulance. Not the most damning loss for him. It still leaves him looking relatively well so that someone actually pinning him would be a big deal.

Not completely sure Ryder's gonna beat him though.

Mr. JL 02-20-2012 07:47 AM

I really liked the beginning of the Cena-Kane Ambulance match until it dropped off near the end.

It was a nice brawl and kind of reminded me of the old days with the guys fighting in the aisle/crowd. They could have almost gotten away with the poorly executed chokeslam through the table had the finish been good.

Attitude Adjustment off the Ambulance into a dark spot that is obviously padded for the finish and big pay off to this feud? Why even do the spot?

Give the fans a finish they can at least see for fucks sake.

CM Punk <s>@</s>CMPunk

I would like <s>@</s>chrisbrown fight somebody that can defend themselves. Me curb stomping that turd would be a <s>#</s>wrestlemania moment.

Innovator 02-20-2012 10:02 AM

Also, who cares if Cena is a chatty Kathy in the gym? I'm with the Rock, headphones on, get work done.

Next Big Thing 02-20-2012 10:09 AM

@CMpunk needs more followers. He's such a leader! Not to mention the roids hes on has made it utterly impossible for him pleasure a women.

Positivity regardless of how u feel! @CMpunk contact my assistant and I'll have em send u an autographed pic for my biggest FAN!!!

It would be nice if Chris Brown dropped dead, but it is kind of funny that Punk wants to curb stomp Brown, but seems to have no problem praising and wanting to work with Austin, who has had some run ins with the law for assaulting his wife and a girlfriend.

Flash Funk 02-20-2012 10:27 AM

Quick thoughts:

Both chambers were good, everything else dragged. I guess the Divas match was solid, but I was hoping for Kharma at the end. Loved Big Show climbing in the top of the pod. Still can't figure out WHC match at Mania. Is it really going to be Sheamus v. Bryan? Or will Orton and Barrett find a way in?

Next Big Thing 02-20-2012 10:38 AM

Jericho getting laid out didn't provide the spark I expected for his match with Punk.

The Smackdown chamber was the better of the two in my opinion. I'm not a Santino fan and have no interest in jumping on the bandwagon for him, but I found myself cheering for him and thinking he could win it after he pinned Barrett. Not really excited for Bryan vs. Sheamus. Barrett vs. Sheamus would have been the better of the two in my opinion.

The Divas match wasn't bad, but I don't give a damn about Tamina. I was hoping for a Kharma appearance too.

Cena vs. Kane was meh. I was never excited about it to begin with, but I think it did a great job of setting up a potential Ryder vs. Cena feud. Call me crazy, but I think that could be very interesting.

Gerard 02-20-2012 12:15 PM

Booker T was giving me a fucking headache last night on commentary, if you had a drinking game where you took a shot every time he uttered the word "boy" you'd be shitfaced after ten minutes. He musta said that at the very least 100 times last night, every other sentence had it..

Anyone have thoughts on the Laurentis Smackdown deal?

I bet we get a match at WM where Christian, ADR and Mark Henry face off against 3 faces, winning teams "coach" gets to be Smackdown GM.

Hanso Amore 02-20-2012 01:38 PM

Exactly.

So Who falls on the other team? Kofi? Probably. Santino, Probably.

Not really any other legit faces that will be free.

Supreme Olajuwon 02-20-2012 01:50 PM

Randall Keith Orton

Supreme Olajuwon 02-20-2012 01:56 PM

kinda hope Randall and Ziggler get thrown into some special attraction feud though

#1-norm-fan 02-20-2012 01:59 PM

I can see Orton doing it. Throw in Otunga and Santino on their "bosses" teams and make it an 8 man tag. Elimination possibly.

Supreme Olajuwon 02-20-2012 02:01 PM

oh Foley can be in it too

there we go

#1-norm-fan 02-20-2012 02:01 PM

Mark Henry, Alberto del Rio, Christian and David Otunga

vs

Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston and Santino

Mr. Pierre 02-20-2012 02:12 PM

Sounds like a perfect opener to me :y:

Corporate CockSnogger 02-20-2012 02:12 PM

Was looking at something like that last night, but then couldn't work out what they'd do for the rumoured mitb return.

You could put in Swagger, Ziggler, Wade, Cody, Kane on the heel side, but couldn't think of many faces that could go in.

Hanso Amore 02-20-2012 03:02 PM

YEah, RKO makes sense...though he seems sort of "above" a random 8 way at WM. But I like that idea.

Innovator 02-20-2012 03:05 PM

I will say something about the Cena hype video. If Cena took the guy he is in the weight room and put that in front of the camera instead of his cartoon character, a lot less guys would boo him.
