I hate how Roman's music plays when he comes out to take on HHH. Like fuck off. So phony. And it's not good music either. I get when Austin or Rock ran in and their music hit, it was like EPIC fucking music, so you make the exception. But Roman has the most generic music, he doesn't need to be played in when he's running out to have a bar room brawl with someone. He's not entering the ring for a match, he's coming in to fucking batter a dude. So stupid.

Ending for tonight's RAW might be just as bad as last year's go home Mania show.

Shane (if he beats Undertaker, next night on RAW): My first decree as showrunner of RAW is to make the Extreme Rules Main Event.... Roman Reigns vs HHH in a rematch from wrestlemania because I give the people what they want!

Usos aren't boring cause of their matches, both guys are great athletes. Their problem is they haven't evolved at all since their debut. No character or personality whatsoever. No development, feuds, storylines etc... Nothing has defined them. Probably one of the biggest examples of what is wrong with the writing. They have been there for ages too

Don't think either guy got a real last laugh type moment tonight.

They somehow managed to have a Reigns standing tall moment, a Triple H standing tall moment, and a draw all happen in one show for the WWE title feud tonight.

It's kind of weird. You see all these guys with supposedly different gimmicks or "characters", different builds and different looks. And yet.... when you watch RAW, all of their matches look the same and all of their promos sound the same.

Reigns is the same thing. He still comes out to the Shield music and is so fake and phony. Where is the guys personality? Where is the reason to invest in him?

A guy like Kevin Owens should have had a serious feud with build going into Mania. He is so great and his reactions and personality shine through everything he does.

Yet this vacuum is main eventing and he is lost in some semi-jobber ladder match.

Unfortunately, these are the pitfalls of being a wank pheasant.

Roman's Shield attire, is the new generations answer to jorts.

And I think the worst part about all of this, is people try act like it's the "PG Era" that's killing the product. That's a load of shit. You can have compelling PG television. All PG-13 or 18A rating means is more blood and more swearing, which in itself can come across as hamfisted.

PG doesn't mean unfocused, careless and uncreative.

They don't have that though, do they? The best put together feud is Jericho/AJ and it's not even that great. It looks obvious that Jericho just pieced it together to give them a reason to feud too.

The rest of the card is so contrived and force. The only history behind any feud is Owens/Zayn and that happened in other promotions.

It's like they don't have ideas for original feuds and they don't have any stories to tell us.

Another WM I feel very little interest in, but then again last year's show was really good. Let's see how it works out.

It's obvious the build no longer has anything to do with Wrestlemania which is sad in itself, but at least it means it has no baring on whether or not the show will be good.

I like how everybody seems to be surprised that a product that has been shit for months is still shit even going into the biggest show of the year.

Yeah the Jericho AJ feud comes across as 2 veterans trying to navigate through some horrific writing.

Jericho's anger doesn't make any sense... I don't get why he's more angry about the chants than he is about losing the best 2/3 series. I also don't get when when he turned on AJ he hit codebreakers and didn't just kick the fuck out of Styles (tho I guess only HHH is allowed to beat up Roman badly). He could have locked in the Walls for 5 minutes or something. Don't get me started on the commentators' reaction when he turned on styles. They may as well have been calling a dark match on Shotgun Saturday Night.

This is a company going through the motions because they can, and it's not going to change any time soon.

Vito don't kid yourself, nobody is surprised. I think when watching it, it's still perplexing no matter what.

Not even fussy, I will buy into anything. Zayn/Owens story was written. Have Ryback bully Kalisto in backstage segments and build up the sympathy. Have LoN constantly one up New Day with number advantage, hinting that a special partner will help then out at Mania.

Have the Andre Battle Royal for an IC title shot at next PPV and have a few guys promo about what that would mean to them.

Hint at Lynch/Charlotte jealousy at Sascha's reactions and the potential for an alliance to take her out of the match at Mania.

Have HHH hesitate before doing something particularly heinous to Reigns....put some questions around the match and what could happen.

Should have gone all out with Brock and Ambrose since the Rumble. Blood feud with pull apart brawls and hints of real craziness at Mania.

None of that is perfect, but it is something and that is all people are asking for. Give people a reason to care about what's happening.

I don't know if I'd say if this stuff is as bad as like the dying days of WCW because at least the in ring work is good and the world title isn[t switching hands every RAW... but it's pretty paltry stuff. I'd liken the quality of storylines and energy to 1995 where there is no ZING to the product.

I agree totally. I just want interesting feuds. People seem to think that complaining is butthurt cause your favourite guy is not where you want him to be. I don't even have a favorite. I just want some interesting things happening from week to week. Entertaining TV and people grow and develop personalities. Everyone wins.

We're not surprised, just disappointed. Though I guess it's partly on us to continue to hope the WWE can pull itself together. Definition of insanity, right? Expecting a different result from the same stuff?


At this point, literally the only selling point is that the writers have pulled rabbits out of hats the last two WM's with Bryan winning and Rollins cashing in. Honestly, short of Ambrose randomly turning on Reigns in the main event and costing him the title (after feigning to help him), there's nothing that can end the show on that high note and/or shocker that you expect from a WrestleMania.


Of course, if the World Title doesn't go on last, then there's also that.

I feel like the days of Wrestlemania buildup being treated by the WWE like a big deal are over. What I mean is..they can probably still count on selling 70k in tickets 5 months before the show. They used to have to worry about convincing 1+ million people to plop down 60 bucks for the PPV in addition but now they probably realize there's not a lot of people they have to convince to buy the network and it's only 10 bucks even if they do. The majority of The money to be made on WM was made 5 months ago.

WWE would probably be smart to stop including Mania in the network live and try and make it PPV again.

I will say it is confusing that Mania can be so good while the build can be so shit.... doesn't that mean they could just have a good product leading into mania?

I didn't really care for RAW this week. Aside from the opening segment, it was all rather ho hum.

I know everyone is really down on creative, but I just feel like all the injuries have caught up to them, and they have to weather the storm. I don't see many guys in the mid card who can step up at this point. The summer should be better when they have a full house again plus some new blood from NXT post Mania.

You know what also didn't fit in with the Divas Revolution concept? Trading wins and having pointless feuds where alliances and loyalties were never defined, and characters turned face and heel according to the direction of the wind.

I like Eva and kinda agree with CyNick. She does look like a star and if she could get her in ring work together could be something but she needs to be a heel first. Don't know what would make them think she would get cheers, if that is what they thought.

Yeup, they wasted about 2-3 years worth of development by not having her legit train to get better because Total Divas being seen more important for the Divas division.

She and JoJo only got hired because of that show but at least the WWE realized very quickly with JoJo she needed real training or at least could be used for non-in ring stuff. With Eva, they stubbornly kept putting her into situations she wasn't ready for and when they finally realized she needed real training, still rushed her development just so she could be on tv.

Main reason Eva is getting booed is because the crowds despise the forced nature of her tv presence. Very similar to Reigns and the overly forced nature of his mega star pushes.
