I get why they did it. Jericho has been jobbing to everyone for so long. If he lost another big one he becomes pretty much worthless going forward. This gives him some value back. AJ is just getting to the WWE, and will be just as over tomorrow as he was yesterday, regardless of this loss. But now Jericho is in a better position to put over other wrestlers.

The new guy always seems to job at Mania. But Jericho is sticking around and Styles will beat him at the next PPV probably.
