Im unsure honestly. I think possibly. How the current product draws is a combination of the brand itself and like 7 top guys. There isnt 1 draw anymore.

Can he draw 10 people? Certainly. Emphatically. Could Cody run a tour where he was the only name and the rest was the midcard (which was a common practice in days gone by?) Murky.

He's done a fine job rebuilding his image and elevating himself as a performer. He can absolutely be credibly booked anywhere on the card. The cody this thread was posted about and the cody we have today arent comparable.

If cody left the fed today and went and did an indy where he was the only name would he draw 3000 people? Ehhhhhhhh.

Cody has surpassed Chris Jericho. It may not be what reverberates for us, but Cody is special to a lot of people now.

He is not a draw to the normal (casual) fan.

I imagine your normal vs non-normal fan ratio is about 70/30%. Maybe 65/35%.

Cody can get people in the building, but it will be your serious wrestling fans.

Smarks cant be more than 10%. 10% feels really generous. Open a random youtube vid and read the comments, ya know?

Smarks are the hardcore end of the more serious fans. There is a crater of different levels of fans between marks and smarks now. Mainly due to social media.

I think you run the risk of grading by a vocal minority there. Most people just shut up and watch what they enjoy and don’t want to engage with all that. AEW becomes a lot smaller when you put it into context of the entire wrestling scene, as opposed to judging them by the noise their echo chamber makes, for example.

I think 10% would be the absolute ceiling. They're the loudest of the bunch, though. Like dickhead sports fans.
