Best Rumble Ever (now)

Theo Dious 01-28-2018 09:08 PM

Top 5 rumble right there

Triple A 01-28-2018 09:08 PM

Why do they have to interview him after the match... total buzz kill

edit: ok nvm that was fine

rez 01-28-2018 09:08 PM

prolly AJ

Emperor Smeat 01-28-2018 09:09 PM

Really great Rumble overall. Best one since 2011 at the very least.

Ruien 01-28-2018 09:09 PM

Now when is Braun?

Dark One 01-28-2018 09:09 PM

But in all seriousness, congratulations to Nakamura for winning the right to curtain jerk the main show at Wrestlemania

Evil Vito 01-28-2018 09:09 PM

I don't even care if the show ends with an underwhelming Rousey win or Steph pointing at the WrestleMania sign now. Tonight is a fucking win.

NAKAMURA/STYLES AT MANIA FUCK YESSSSSSSSSSS

Frank Drebin 01-28-2018 09:09 PM

Right call, WWE. Good job.

There is no way they put Nakamura/AJ after Reigns/Lesnar, no matter how amazing it will be.

SURPRISE ME WWE

Sepholio 01-28-2018 09:11 PM

YUUUUUSSSSSSSS

Triple A 01-28-2018 09:11 PM

Started off pretty poor but picked up pretty dramatically. Could have probably been an all time great if they hadn't cut off big surprises and pops for meaningless heat, but good overall.

#1-norm-fan 01-28-2018 09:11 PM

Well that was definitely better than last year's Rumble at least. It was also the peak of this show. Why the fuck are there still 3 matches?

KIRA 01-28-2018 09:12 PM

No pyro you cheap bastards

What did that money go toward the XFL uniforms?

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-28-2018 09:13 PM

NAKAMURA!

Four Irish Car Bombs into this shit.

Woooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steph dressed to compete

Danny Electric 01-28-2018 09:13 PM

Even though I was slightly annoyed that the Rumble was so early , that was the best Rumble I've seen in a long time.

I can't believe they recorded this KFC thing before this show went on the air. It's why there were massive unprompted RUSEV DAY chants and why they had blue ropes (to not clash with the white KFC outfits) for the first pre-show match

Actually, he'd have to win because just like Iron Sheik in the WrestleMania 17 Gimmick Battle Royal, he physically can't go over the ropes.

You had no idea how right you were.

Savio 01-28-2018 09:16 PM

If Flairs last match is a "KFC Rumble".....lol

owenbrown 01-28-2018 09:16 PM

Ric Flair saved this from being shitty

DAMN iNATOR 01-28-2018 09:16 PM

LOL Colonel Flair.

Ol Dirty Dastard 01-28-2018 09:17 PM

That was mainly booked for the final 6. Really good last 20-25 minutes or so.

Dark One 01-28-2018 09:17 PM

I assume Seth is going to spend 20 seconds in the ring in this match after being in the Rumble for quite a while.

90% of this match is going to be JJ/Sheamus.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-28-2018 09:17 PM

Yes yes yes yes yes he did it

Only real sore spot for me was the several Reigns-Cena moments since they were terrible. Get that WWE desperately wants to make crowds see Reigns and Cena as equals in terms of mega stars but crowds are tired of both hogging the focus.

2011 Rumble had the Cena and Hornswoggle moment of them eliminating most of the New Nexus and maybe the Corre as well but had a really amazing ending and the 40 guys.

Col. Sanders approves.

Evil Vito 01-28-2018 09:20 PM

Anyway, for me....that was the best Rumble since 2004. 2004 is swept under the rug by WWE for obvious reasons and it's totally understandable why, but that was the last Rumble I've watched that I thought was just perfectly booked from beginning to end.

What a match. Made an even better surprise because I assumed the worst with them not closing the show with it.

rockman725 01-28-2018 09:21 PM

I'll have to admit, there was part of me that wanted to see how bad things would have gotten if Roman did win. Imagine a Roman win & an Eagles loss next week.... yikes!?!

Also, glad they brought Rey out BEFORE Roman cause this time, Rey actually was cheered! lol

Savio 01-28-2018 09:23 PM

Triple A's eyes are probably glued to the TV

Savio 01-28-2018 09:23 PM

Heard Jason might be slightly injured.

Announcers fighting

#1-norm-fan 01-28-2018 09:24 PM

People were way more worried about Reigns winning than they should have been. Years of the more "shocking" choice winning the rumble when there's 2 titles anyway should tell people WWE's mindset going in.

Dark One 01-28-2018 09:25 PM

Fred gives negative shits about this match.

If the Rumble was closing I'd have agreed. I don't think Vince would've closed the show with him winning in front of a Philly crowd again.

But since they had it on the middle of the show and could've had Asuka come out #1 and wreck shit for an hour to close the show, I thought they'd roll with Reigns

They did things to make me think "Wait... WILL they actually go with Reigns!?" So good job there. But in the end, this tends to be the pattern. Everything for WrestleMania is still exactly as planned. I don't think Vince really gives enough of a fuck about the result of the rumble so... give the people the result they want.

Sting Fan 01-28-2018 09:28 PM

I was hoping against hope for Bryan at #30 and the place just going insane. Or even Taker at #30 for a similar effect.

Dark One 01-28-2018 09:32 PM

This match is going to go longer than the Rumble.

Ezra 01-28-2018 09:32 PM

Dark One 01-28-2018 09:34 PM

Seth Rollins is a god damn trooper, though. Spending quite a bit in the Rumble and then basically wrestling that whole match, which I wasn't clocking but I believe went roughly two hours.

Gerard 01-28-2018 09:35 PM

Hopefully the lesnar match is up next so i can get to bed, honestly couldn't give 2 flying fucks about this 30 washing machines match.

Emperor Smeat 01-28-2018 09:35 PM

With how injured Jordan's back is, they really should have pulled this match off the card. Between Jordan's health and crowd being exhausted, should have just run several hype videos to act as the cool down for the Universal title match instead.

Dark One 01-28-2018 09:36 PM

BRAUN OR RIOT

#1-norm-fan 01-28-2018 09:38 PM

They make sandwiches too

owenbrown 01-28-2018 09:38 PM

How big are the cheers gonna be when Paul Heyman walks through that curtain shortly?

Dark One 01-28-2018 09:38 PM

Death toll better hit 45 in this match.

The god damn better otherwise they get the belt.

Seems obvious Kane is here to take the fall but WWE's need to go "shock value" over what's logical makes me think they might go SWERVE and have Braun take the fall.

Dark One 01-28-2018 09:40 PM

Interesting choice prefacing Kane's music with a fart.

Savio 01-28-2018 09:41 PM

True Kane could be the only person to win ECW, WHC, WWE, and Universal champion.

owenbrown 01-28-2018 09:41 PM

Hopefully Brock drops the belt tonight but I doubt it

DAMN iNATOR 01-28-2018 09:41 PM

Emperor Smeat 01-28-2018 09:41 PM

Maybe its just the gear but Kane looks a lot fatter than usual.

Gerard 01-28-2018 09:42 PM

He's held it for 301 days and had how many matches? Remember the old 30 day defence rule back in the days of yore?

KIRA 01-28-2018 09:42 PM

Is this Kanes retirement match I hope so

I don't think the crowd has it in them at this point. They just sat through a Royal Rumble match in the middle of the card. lol

slik 01-28-2018 09:42 PM

Did Brock get pyro I was on the phone and missed the entrances

slik 01-28-2018 09:42 PM

Was Braun's pop large

slik 01-28-2018 09:43 PM

slik 01-28-2018 09:44 PM

Did Braun get a huge pop?

OssMan 01-28-2018 09:44 PM

KIRA 01-28-2018 09:45 PM

Brock is terrifying when he getas wide eyed and smiles like a roided up Bob Baclund

OssMan 01-28-2018 09:45 PM

Lesnar eliminated from royal rumble

Gerard 01-28-2018 09:45 PM

If they did they forgot to mention it 35 times to this point.

#1-norm-fan 01-28-2018 09:47 PM

If I were at this show, I'd be getting drunk off my ass about halfway through that rumble to prepare myself to get rowdy as fuck during the rest of the sow. For the sake of the home viewer.

KIRA 01-28-2018 09:47 PM

I don't think Braun even needs a belt

Evil Vito 01-28-2018 09:48 PM

Every time I hear "there are no disqualifications in a triple threat match!" I'm reminded of the old SVR games where clobbering someone with a chair in a triple threat match just resulted in an awkward no contest.

Id probably be pissing in a bottle and flinging it at the ring.

OssMan 01-28-2018 09:48 PM

brawn Stroman's choke slam sucks compared to kane's

slik 01-28-2018 09:48 PM

I'm glad this is no dq but when did that happen

slik 01-28-2018 09:49 PM

yess Braunnn

OssMan 01-28-2018 09:49 PM

nice push kane

Dark One 01-28-2018 09:49 PM

If Braun wins, even an hour of Stephanie on commentary cannot ruin this show.

KIRA 01-28-2018 09:49 PM

Does kane hold a sexual assault lawsuit over Vince's head or something

#1-norm-fan 01-28-2018 09:50 PM

I'm actually curious how you have a WWE-style triple threat match that ISN'T no DQ. Like... one guy gets counted out or DQed. Okay? So who wins?

slik 01-28-2018 09:51 PM

ouch

Emperor Smeat 01-28-2018 09:52 PM

That's going to leave a welt on Braun's face

Evil Vito 01-28-2018 09:52 PM

Not even Braun can redeem this plodfest. Kane is a vacuum of entertainment these days.

Dark One 01-28-2018 09:52 PM

Did Braun do that to Brock in the four-way?

Not calling back to that, guys?

#1-norm-fan 01-28-2018 09:52 PM

We still get an hour of Stephanie McMahon speaking to come. Just realized that. lol
