yeah, but in hindsight, bck then you wouldnt think that Orton would be World Champ first. Then again, you wouldnt even of thought that 'Jobber' Orton and 'Decon' Batista would be anywhere near where they are today.
And to answer your first question, yes Orton was on SD to begin with. He went to Raw with the draft lottery, and didnt really get a character as such until RNN. It is also a fact that Brock Lesners 1st WWE title defense was against Orton the Samckdown after he won it............ Orton again got squashed

Yea they took Batistas character and completely ruined it in the beginning. I remember reading an interview about how pissed he was because they built him up as this bad ass Laviathan character and then they brought him to WWE to become Deacon Batista....that is one crap change. I think they should of left him as Laviathan...could of been big. I guess he could of gotten bigger faster then he did.
