Suck it Mets

Was really a bad game, 7 errors I believe. Billy Wagner implodes and gives up 4 runs though, so a win is a win. In tight spots Cabrera worked a walk and A-Rod hits into another double play.

Both games gone to the closers. Wagner was dominant last night and then just is awful today. Mariano wasn't good last night and was great today.

OssMan 05-20-2006 05:53 PM

haha wagner

SammyG 05-20-2006 06:20 PM

AJ will call some of the TNA guys to kick Barrett's ass.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-20-2006 11:48 PM

Who gives a fuck if Barry Bonds hit a homerun? Beckett's was way more impressive haha

Joey Slugs 05-21-2006 01:18 AM

Barrett is a little bitch.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-21-2006 02:44 AM

That was awesome though

Loose Cannon 05-21-2006 09:11 AM

all AJ did was go for his helmet and Barret like bear hugs him and punches him in the face. lol and to top it off, AJ gets ejected somehow.

Joey Slugs 05-21-2006 02:02 PM

do you think that guys on the Giants and Twins would of backed AJ up like Pods and Anderson did yesturday?

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-21-2006 02:20 PM

http://images.sportsline.com/b/ap/ph...3478_lower.jpg
From what I hear everyone seems to think AJ is an asshole so Barrett was probably just waiting for any type of reason to punch him

BCWWF 05-21-2006 04:04 PM

AJ only had a bad rep when he was on the Giants because of some random news article where a bunch of pussy pitchers anonymously bitched him out. On the Twins he was always a team player and that is the same impression I get from him on the White Sox now. He has the rep of an ass hole that talks a lot of shit, but really there aren't many catchers I'd rather have a team.

OssMan 05-21-2006 11:31 PM

Bye Yankees

Dragon 05-21-2006 11:58 PM

A-Rod grounding into a rally ending double play. Double plays for him have become far too common, he also leaves 7 men on base. A-Rod and Giambi pretty much contributing nothing lately with Giambi in a huge slide.

Dragon 05-21-2006 11:59 PM

Yankees do sign Durazo though.

MVP 05-22-2006 12:31 AM

Giambi left his lucky syringe at Yankee Stadium.

SammyG 05-22-2006 07:12 AM

Dodge Show has picked it up lately. Just Swept the Angels.

RoXer 05-22-2006 01:29 PM

Shut up with your SHOWS. fuck

http://www.dailyherald.com/dow_photos/7/mnw_wsox.jpg

LOL owned. Barrett said he thought AJ was coming after him so he reacted like anyone would.

BCWWF 05-22-2006 08:00 PM

Apparently Barrett had no idea that AJ even slapped the plate and it had absolutely nothing to do with AJ's rep, see Outlaws post.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-22-2006 08:11 PM

AJ just looks like an asshole, I'm surprised he isn't involded in shit all the time

oh wait

The Miz 05-22-2006 08:35 PM

Big Hurt goes deep in his first AB in Chicago as an A

The Miz 05-22-2006 09:27 PM

lol Thomas goes deep again. Garland = ultimate one year wonder

Joey Slugs 05-23-2006 02:02 AM

I cheered hard after Thomas hit his "welcome back" home run.

I cheered even harder after Ozuna's bunt single in the 10th.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-23-2006 02:21 AM

"Its hard to deal with an idiot"

"If I had the problems with he seems to have with me, I'd be knocking on somebody's fucking door"

LOL classic soundclip

That's the White Sox GM from last season during the whole Frank Thomas situation.

BCWWF 05-23-2006 01:55 PM

Does anybody know what the contract is like with Melvin Mora? It seems like the Orioles are in a position where it'd be best just to trade Mora and Tejada and start over doesn't it?

Evil Vito 05-23-2006 02:30 PM

Mora was given a 3-year extension just a few days ago

Evil Vito 05-23-2006 04:23 PM

OK, well I wouldn't be shocked if this were fake...but it's coming from a Mets site that always posts legit information.

http://www.sheabaseball.com/news/mets/1148331334.shtml

Sounds wayyyyyy too much like a tall tale to me, but I dunno.
If by some chance this article were true, then holy shit...

The Miz 05-23-2006 06:28 PM

Chone Figgins really killing the Angels right now. I'm beginning to question who's more overrated, him or Jose Reyes

Gertner 05-24-2006 12:41 AM

ryan with another stellar outing. 11 for 11 and has only given up 1 run this year

OssMan 05-24-2006 06:18 PM

Diamondbacks trade SP Orlando Hernandez to Mets for RP Jorge Julio

The Miz 05-24-2006 06:18 PM

Dbacks get:
Jorge Julio

Mets get:
El Duque

In a related story, I once traded this guy my shit for his shit

The Miz 05-24-2006 06:28 PM

Chicago Cubs = New York Knicks of MLB

Dragon 05-24-2006 08:05 PM

Randy Johnson giving up his expected 4 runs in the first two innings so far.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-24-2006 08:52 PM

YOUKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

Dragon 05-24-2006 09:02 PM

Nice heads up baserunning by Wily Mo haha

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-24-2006 10:42 PM

Damn nice play by Jeter to end it.

25 hits in the game, damn

The Miz 05-24-2006 10:45 PM

lol textbook Randy Johnson win. 5 IP, 9 H, 5 ER, 2 HR

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-24-2006 10:52 PM

Two terrible outings by Red Sox pitchers. Gotta get their shit together

Evil Vito 05-24-2006 11:30 PM

I'm really liking the El Duque/Jorge Julio deal

Duque's coming back to NY, in a spacious ballpark, away from Arizona (which he disliked), and back to pitching every 5 days. Also, his team is filled with Latino friends. Not to mention he's a proven clutch pitcher. He'd make a solid #4 or #5 for 2006

Julio was doing great recently, admittedly. Still, this was the best time to trade him. He'd likely crumble in the NY spotlight at some point.

Joey Slugs 05-25-2006 12:24 AM

Big sweep by the Chi Sox.

Hey Wadding... since you were so nice to point out to me how AJ went "down" from a sucker punch... I'd like to point out that the Cubs just got sucker punched by the worst team in the NL. Keep up the good work.

DaveWadding 05-25-2006 12:40 AM

So, when did I ever say that the Cubs were good?

The Outlaw 05-25-2006 12:52 AM

That was not a sucker punch sir. lol

RoXer 05-25-2006 02:14 AM

Damnit. I have to nothing to shit up Slugs with now when he goes on a WS rant.

Joey Slugs 05-25-2006 02:16 AM

The Miz 05-25-2006 12:56 PM

Pretty sure Oakland has 9 WS titles

Joey Slugs 05-25-2006 01:00 PM

"What have you done for me lately?"

The Miz 05-25-2006 01:02 PM

Great, now White Sox fans get to assume the role of Red Sox fans in 04 and act like their 90 years of failure doesn't matter because of their one win.

Joey Slugs 05-25-2006 01:27 PM

I didn't say anything of the sort, but the White Sox ARE defending champs.

The difference between the White Sox and the Red Sox (outside of waiting so long to get a title) is that White Sox fans didn't have to make up some lame ass curse to make them feel better about having shitty teams. They took losing to a new level and made it personal and built up a "nation" of depression.

The best we can do is say that we stopped going to games for a few years because our owner was public enemy #1 in reguards to the 1994 strike.

haha I've always loved that one. I guess I was alive for 86 years?

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-25-2006 02:01 PM

Also if you wanna go in the past, Red Sox have 7 World Series titles haha

SammyG 05-25-2006 03:58 PM

Dodgers on a 7 game winning streak :)

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-25-2006 06:22 PM

All cuz of Nomar Garciaparra

Gertner 05-25-2006 06:32 PM

THANK GOD Towers got sent to the minors.

The Miz 05-25-2006 09:15 PM

Royals might draft Tim Lincecum with the #1 pick out of UWASH

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-26-2006 02:46 AM

Papelbon with his 16th save

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-26-2006 02:47 AM

also LOL@Rangers going down by 7 yet still coming back and winning. Their offense is a bit ridiculous, too bad their pitching is awful

Dragon 05-26-2006 04:10 PM

Carlos Zambrano had a no-hitter going with two outs in the 7th. Jacque Jones loses it in the sun and they score it a hit. Pretty rough way to break the no-hitter.

Boomer 05-26-2006 05:31 PM

HOW ABOUT A ROUGH WAY TO LOSE A GAMEEEEEEEEEEE

I would hate to be in Chicago right now.

Dragon 05-26-2006 06:18 PM

LOL, they lost? Stopped watching after the no hitter was broken up.

Boomer 05-26-2006 06:29 PM

The Braves have clutch bench hitting. I don't know how. Regardless of the two errors, they still would have tied the game. The Cubs were lucky that ball didn't go another five feet for a slam.

DaveWadding 05-26-2006 07:43 PM

Fuck.

God, being a Cubs fan is hard :(

Boomer 05-26-2006 07:51 PM

I'm sorry. :(

The Miz 05-26-2006 08:45 PM

Angels rotation now features Jered and Jeff Weaver

Gertner 05-26-2006 10:08 PM

ha, might as well call the Blue Jays "Micheal Jackson" cause they just molested the White Sox

MVP 05-26-2006 11:54 PM

Mike Lowell looking impressive as ever in tonight's game.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-27-2006 12:49 AM

Papelbon's ERA = .36

Joey Slugs 05-27-2006 01:07 AM

funny how it works now in Chicago...

Sox lose: oh well. we can't win them all. we're still one of the best teams in all of baseball.

Cubs lose: WHO THE FUCK CAN WE FIRE??? AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!

The Icon of Elisim 05-27-2006 01:20 AM

I dont see your point.

Alot of people thought the Cubs would be a much better team than this, whereas the White Sox are where most people expected them to be. So its not a surprise that people get up in arms after the Cubs have a gut wrenching loss as wins seem almost impossible right now.

BCWWF 05-27-2006 02:49 AM

Anybody who thought the Cubs would even compete with the Cardinals is stupid. Then take out their best hitter and this is what you get. Unless of course you were expecting Prior and Wood to be healthy.

The Miz 05-27-2006 11:09 PM

Sexson double
Everett walk
Beltre single, Sexson to third, Everett to second

(Rincon replaces Crain)

Johjima triple play

-------------------------

Gonna be a loooooooong season

BCWWF 05-27-2006 11:26 PM

Boof

Joey Slugs 05-27-2006 11:42 PM

fuck.

The Miz 05-27-2006 11:51 PM

This just in: 50% of the Weaver family know how to pitch

Jered Weaver: 6 ip, 3 h, 4 k, no runs so far vs. Baltimore

The Miz 05-28-2006 12:01 AM

So far in this 16-inning game, the Pirates have used:

Paul Maholm (5 ip)
Matt Capps (.2)
John Grabow (.1)
Salomon Torres (1)
Roberto Hernandez (1)
Mike Gonzalez (2)
Damaso Marte (2)
Ryan Vogelsong (4)

Oliver Perez better pitch a complete game tomorrow or they're fucked.

The Miz 05-28-2006 12:19 AM

LMAO Houston finally gets a run in the 17th. Bottom of the 17th, first pitch to Jose Castillo gone. Not over yet!!!!!

Awesome game to watch drunk

BCWWF 05-28-2006 03:40 AM

Miz, are you ready to admit that the Sexson and Beltre signings were not good ones yet?

Gertner 05-28-2006 01:13 PM

JAYS WIN JAYS WIN JAYS WIN!

RoXer 05-28-2006 02:59 PM

Edgar fucking Gonzalez

RoXer 05-28-2006 05:47 PM

WOW, then they go and blow it.

Boomer 05-28-2006 06:04 PM

The Braves need to fucking waive Reitsma. Anybody can have him.

And fuck you Dan Kolb and your once again awesome ERA.

Sexson was an excellent signing. Beltre sucks.

BCWWF 05-28-2006 07:57 PM

My argument at the time was not that they were bad players (at the time Beltre was good) but that they were high priced guys to buy when the Mariners were out of contention for the next couple years. But meh. That series was too bad for the Mariners, just couldn't get the guys in. Ichiro kind of slipped up in the 10th. The line drive that Cuddyer caught wasn't too bad, but the one that Torii caught against the wall Ichiro could have made a break for home if he got the right jump.

The Miz 05-29-2006 12:07 AM

Getting one high-priced free agent was okay, because we had the resources. Sexson puts asses in the seats and without him, we're the Royals. Beltre should be shot.

Nice to see Bonds get 715. :) Dodgers still lookin good.

BCWWF 05-29-2006 12:30 PM

It's funny because the Twins upcoming schedule (which features the other AL West teams) is being called the chance to pick up some serious ground in the division. Bring it on Angels and A's.

RoXer 05-29-2006 12:53 PM

If the A's lose one of their games with Royals, I will be very upset.

Would've been better to play those teams last week. Angels are heating up and A's may have Duchscherer, Witasick, Harden, and Milton Bradley back by then.
