I think it would have been fine if it weren't for a few things. It wasn't neccesary, but the match could have been saved if they went a better route.

Why do they need a closer look at the Rock if he is no longer in the ME at Mania?

I thought Mick getting involved helped that match. Nothing against Big Show, but he just didn't belong there that year.
It was all about Rock vs HHH, and since it was Foley's last year/match, that would have been nice too. That's what it ended up being for most of the match anyways.

I have my opinions on the finish too

You have a point Jerry. It's just that Mick returning so soon after "retiring" kinda tarnished his legacy imo.

I miss the multiple germans

Always thought that they should have done the triple threat, and had Mick hit an insane spot to take him out of the match on a stetcher.

He would have done it, and it would take him out of the match in an ambulance.

Then, go through with the long Rock vs HHH match, and go through with the Vince swerve and HHH win. But, as he's celebrating and the fans are filling the ring with trash have a special suprise. HBK comes out and says the match isn't over, and introduces Foley.
Mick Foley returns to the arena and does the patented trip to the ring on the stretcher. The match is restarted by commissioner HBM and Foley wins it.
The WWF title tournament at Backlash is used, and the McMahon Helmsley faction fueds with Rock and commissioner HBM.

Also, Kane/Xpac should have been prolonged for that event, and Big Show should have faced Rikishi.
Other than that it was fine.

I could see either Mick or Show, tbh. Mick because he's Mick. Show the dark horse, but without Mick in there and if Show had been more of a tweener and without Shane (dropping the McMahon in every corner thing) he could have been a viable threat. I agree with Juan in that I wasn't a fan of Mick's coming back SO soon, but I didn't expect him to never wrestle again either.

Cool pick. Yea Juan, Wrestlemania 2000 was a big dissapointment. I just couldn't believe that there wasn't one singles match.
I firmly believe in those alterations to the card I suggested. They really aren't anything major either. Same storylines and guys used. Just simplifies things and adds a couple singles matches, while strengthining the main event.
If not for the Triple Ladder match and the IC/European triple threat, the event would be awful.
Even the major swerve and storyline point of the main event would be preserved, but with a memorable ending.

But I'm gonna get back on topic.

Man, I know Edge was disappointed when he had to go through this fued instead of being catapulted into the main event but this fued MADE the guy. Railing Matt's girlfriend was the best career decision he ever made.

This match is great.

Edge/Christian/Jeff/Matt deserve a dvd set dedicated to the story of them by the way. All the tag matches, and variations of singles matches would be great.
In the future that is, since I'm fairly confident we're going to see some of the best soon.

That is one of my Matt Hardy gripes: the going for the ToF spot.

I've always loved Coach on commentary tbh but I think he's better with just one partenr. 3 is too much almost always.

This may be the best fued of the modern era

When Summerslam came in 2005 I was so disappointed when Edge just crushed Matt and they didn't even make a match out of it. I'm glad they got some classics in though. I couldn't decide whether to post the cage match, street fight, or this match. But then I did. ;)
