You can't hate Shannon Brown. You can hate Adam Morrison, Jordan Farmar, Kobe, Artest. You can't hate Bynum. Who else... Lamar is awesome. How can you hate Fish? You can kill Vujacic if you want, he is a piece of shit.

pau is awsome

the only other laker i like is jordan farmar put him in a run n gun sytem like the warriors or the knicks and we would be great

everyone i either hate or are really overrated

SammyG 12-28-2009 03:28 AM

Good. I want farmar, morrison, and vujabitch off this team. Take them, anyone.

Brujesino 12-28-2009 05:17 AM

nobody wants vaginachic

farmar and morrison more likely since they are expring contracts

Juan 12-28-2009 05:33 AM

All I know is that the Lakers need a competent/consistent back-up point guard. Mitch needs to make some moves.

There's been some speculation about trading Farmar/Morrison for Calderon..

calderon plays horrible defense..worse then fisher

to fit the triangle you need a pg that can defend and hit some open 3's calderon can hit the 3's but he is a horrible defender

Juan 12-28-2009 08:22 PM

Yeah, Calderon isn't much of an improvement over Fish.

I'd like to see someone like Nate Robinson come in.

Anywho, this is isn't even a real rumor, it's a comment that Bill Simmons made in one of his articles.

Juan 12-28-2009 08:45 PM

ESPN:

The Houston Rockets have granted Tracy McGrady an indefinite leave from the team and will work with his representatives to find a new home for the seven-time All-Star via trade, according to sources close to the process.<!--NEW:-->

Sources told ESPN.com on Monday that phone discussions between Rockets general manager Daryl Morey, coach Rick Adelman and one of McGrady's agents, Arn Tellem, led to an agreement that both sides would work together in pursuit of a palatable trade before the league's annual trading deadline on Feb. 18.

The Rockets, sources said, are adamant about not buying out the remainder of McGrady's $23 million expiring contract and enabling him to become a free agent during the season. Yet, they also remain unprepared to promise the extended minutes McGrady has been seeking.

Sources said the sides agreed Monday that the best compromise is letting McGrady leave the team to work out on his own in hopes that a deal can be struck and so his teammates and coaches will be spared from the distraction of daily questions about McGrady's status.

should garnett be embarrased after this game?

couldnt post up ellis, radman or maggatte

warriors win, with a healthy team we can finally start doing some damage in the laegue although after our bad start the playoffs don seem very likely

Jesus Shuttlesworth 12-29-2009 02:07 AM

Everyone should be embarrassed, Celtics played awful defense all game. I mean I know he is good, but Monte Ellis looked like a first ballot Hall of Famer all game.

ESPN.com reported Saturday that the Washington Wizards had reached out to the Rockets in an exploratory manner about a possible Gilbert Arenas-for-McGrady swap, but Houston has no interest in such a deal. Arenas ranks as one of the league's most difficult players to move with four seasons left after this one on a mammoth $111 million contract and a history of knee problems to rival McGrady's.

Brujesino 12-30-2009 05:05 AM

lakers got lucky with the bailout calls for kobe 16 ft?the worse ones were during the last 3 minutes of the game

anyways rockets are smart not to trade for arenas his contract is too big for a injury prone player

That would be one hell of a crappy trade in terms of how injury-prone and high cap/salary wise both players are right now. Both are very talented as players though.

At the same time, makes sense the only realistic trade for the Rockets would involve taking a big salary player.

if its temporary trading t-mac to the bulls of brad miller and some fillers would be great for the rockets

I was at Pacers vs. Grizzlies tonight. Fuck, first the Pacers have a hard time closing out games where they do well and go on a huge losing streak. Now it's like they forget how to play basketball till the 3rd quarter and can't quite close the deficit.

Luther Head went off like crazy tonight, which had me very happy. I have no clue why we started Solomon Jones, though. Roy Hibbert is so much better. Despite coming off the bench, Hibbert had 25 points 13 rebounds. Yet it seemed like whenever he'd get on fire, O'Brien would bring in Jones to suck some dicks.

Hopefully we can make a strong run when we get everyone healthy. Granger, Murphy, Hansborough, and Foster were all hurt for tonight.

But I'm still psyched, got free courtside tickets for Pacer vs. Suns on the 13th.

Juan 12-31-2009 04:13 AM

I really can't stand Dahntay Jones. I watch tons of Kings game since I live in the area, and something about him just bugged the shit out of me.

Are you serious right now? This is the strongest run they've ever made. We have a shot at John Frigging Wall. A legit shot! Ofcourse Bird will fuck it up and pick that white guy from USC or something lol.

I hope we lost 20 straight. I mean, if we become one of the worst 3 teams, we have a major shot at John Wall. I'll buy season tickets if we get John Wall. I'll let him impregnate my mother also.

We're talking about the best player to come out since Lebron. Imagine AI going to a Philly team with a Scottie Pippen type player on it.

Only way NO does this is if they get an exciting player in return. Luke Walton is not that player.

Emperor Smeat 12-31-2009 05:34 PM

New Orleans is also a good team still fighting for a playoff spot. They are not like Memphis with the Gasol trade or Seattle/Minnesota in the Boston trades where the main issue was salary dumps to rebuild the team.

Making that trade would end up hurting the Hornets contender chances for a few years while Lakers keep locking away the West for a few more years (historically they own about 1/2 the West appearances in NBA Finals).

Buzzkill 12-31-2009 05:45 PM

NO is desperately trying to shed salary, and there is no chance they make the playoffs this year, so I wouldn't put it past them to try and get rid of at least David West, if not CP3.

That said, there is zero chance CP3 goes to LA (not like Kobe could handle having somebody else dominate the ball anyway)

Emperor Smeat 12-31-2009 06:05 PM

Yeah if they were to trade, it would be dumb to trade him to a dominate team in the West since it would be most likely New Orleans would face that team if they were to make the playoffs in the 1st round.

This just reinforces the fact that they need to re-name the team the Bullets.

Emperor Smeat 01-01-2010 08:00 PM

He's ending up just like Sean Alexander was with Seattle in the NFL. Once he got the big money contract, his quality/determination dropped by a lot. Although unlike Alexander, Arenas was becoming injury prone before the new deal so its more of the owner's fault for giving him $100 million to begin with.

It really blows my mind how often defenses blow their coverage on Kobe in that situation. Put 2 guys on him at minimum. Deny him the ball and seal him off. Make someone else take that shot.

Doesnt help that Kobe almost gave that defender a free safety style tackle or that the refs didnt see that his left heel was just barely out of bounds.

Londoner 01-02-2010 04:33 PM

Watched that game last night, i dunno how Kobe does it. Was looking forward to seeing the lakers lose for once. (not sure how many they have lost but i'm yet to see it happen) Can't deny his brilliance though.

SammyG 01-03-2010 01:24 AM

Wadding, you are retarded. That is a flop. Watch the replay, then tell me that he honestly pushed him away, come on now. Plus, it was not out of bounds at all.

DaveWadding 01-03-2010 01:32 AM

1) why would you flop when you are guarding one of the best buzzer beating shotmakers in the game? Please logically explain this to me.

2) Kobe CLEARLY pushes off Casspi with his elbow.

3) His right foot (the one you see) is just in front of the line, his left is obscured but definitely further back. Any further back than where his right foot is is definitely out of bounds. You tell me.

PS I watched the video about 6 times.

SammyG 01-03-2010 01:39 AM

Watched the video again, and still think you are retarded.

Juan 01-03-2010 01:44 AM

Dave Wadding hating on the Lakers and Kobe??? This is shocking

Buzzkill 01-03-2010 01:44 AM

Buzzkill 01-03-2010 01:47 AM

No Oden
No Aldridge
No Przybilla
No Outlaw
No Batum
No Rudy
No Blake

McLegend 01-03-2010 01:50 AM

It really does look like he is out of bounds though.

Good shot though.

Juan 01-03-2010 01:58 AM

The refs reviewed the play to see if the shot was off on time and to see if he stepped out of bounds.

Kobe's heel was over the out of bounds line, but it was not touching the hardwood.

Ok, that's fine. To be fair I really couldnt see his left foot and he might have had it at just the right angle. If they can't see it, they can't see it.

IT is still ridiculous to say he didn't push Casspi or that Casspi would "flop" in that situation though.

After watching again, his left foot might be right on the line. Calling it out would have been a ticky tack call.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 01-03-2010 02:15 AM

I thought he shoved him but I didn't think he was out of bounds. I haven't seen the replay though. Honestly it doesn't really matter if it was a shove or not because they aren't gonna make that call anyway. It was just a good shot, not much you can do about that. I mean the Kings forced Kobe to take a 3 pointer as he falling out of bounds, it's not like they let him get to the rack or something.

Juan 01-03-2010 02:17 AM

It was Rodriguez, and the Kings TV crew even admitted it was a flop. They said Rodriguez couldn't have picked a worse time to flop.

True. A shove is a shove though.

Look, I give Kobe credit, and I have before on these buzzer beaters (i.e. the one vs Milwaukee) but the shove cheapens it. He bailed Paussy out on that pass nicely though.

Skippord 01-03-2010 10:20 PM

Malik Allen and Joey Graham were playing for the Nuggets today

I naturally assume something has gone horribly horribly wrong

McLegend 01-03-2010 10:22 PM

favorite team this year: Portland Trailblazers. Proof that rebuilding and being patient works. I LOVE the fact that their major stars have been in and out of action but they have enough depth to still be a massive threat in the division.

Easily the most fun to watch underdog team to watch.

Still think Bulls vs Celtics last year was the best series of the decade.
