i was diggin miz getting a good pop from the crowd. plus with del rio and miz in the ring at the same time i almost exploded all over mys....i mean marked out hard. i guess the spear is legal again? and i agree with whoever said it, its painfully obvious cena wins the chamber match, and wins at mania. i think cole gave it away that lawler was winning tonight, how he kept going on about how he wont, and all that. i kinda have a sinking feeling that with the whole swerve thing lately they will have lawler win the title at the chamber..as far as the 2.21.11 thing, i have no clue. i cant imagine its an obvious thing like undertaker. sting is the guy vince never had, so why not? i just i dont know..maybe its the greatest promo man in the history of ever, Jumpin Jeff Farmer

Lock Jaw 02-01-2011 12:30 AM

Well... regardless, for the first time since No Mercy 2008 we have a RAW Title Match at a PPV that doesn't involve Cena/Orton/Batista.

I am pretty positive they are setting up cole to keep king from winning again, and setting something up at mania between them.

James Steele 02-01-2011 02:29 AM

There is no way they have Cole just keep hammering Lawler like this to not get his shit kicked in. I could see him costing Lawler at NWO and Lawler just destroys him. Lawler gets "fired", and JR comes in to present Lawler's challenge to Michael Cole to a match/street fight and if Lawler wins he gets his job back but if Cole wins...Lawler (and JR) will never be seen in WWE again! I could see Jerry Lawler/Jim Ross vs Alex Riley/Michael Cole. Give it 15 minutes (10 min match, 5 min JR/Lawler shitting on Cole) at WrestleMania, and it will be an easy crowd pleaser without wasting too much time.

So, RAW...

Loved the mariachi playing Del Rio's entrance. It's easy to nitpick that it could've sounded better, but sometimes, things like that come off better live than on over the air, especially not just being piped in and played off like they're really performing.

"More cowbell"- if only we had more like that from King, people wouldn't shit on his commentating so much.

Speaking of King, he's been featured in some random angles here and there as a quick fix to get someone over with a resulting blow off match a couple of weeks later, but nothing this prominent since his feud with Bret, or that thing where he and Doink had that Survivor Series match with all those midgets (I intentionally omitted ECW. That doesn't count.) Methinks he's hanging it up soon. I see him coming just short of getting the belt, following that old "it's better to go out on your back" adage. Cole won't be able to contain himself, Lawler will deck him, and then be subsequently fired by the GM, gaining Cole unbelievable levels of heat in the process.

DiBiase sold King's punch like a fucking champ!

(We interrupt this RAW commentary for the following: as I'm typing my thoughts on this week's RAW, I just now witnessed a Vasaline body wash commercial that prominently featured the Uso's theme. I know it's a production work, but geez, that usually doesn't happen till the person at least gets new music. Back to my rant currently in progress.)

End the speculation now: the vignettes are for 'taker. They don't always go the direct "Undertaker's coming back" route. They occasionally pull out the spooky music and vids of jumproping triplets, lightning in a cemetary, or made to look like the video from "The Ring". With that said, *If*, and that's a BIG *if* it is Sting, I'd not only be 100% wrong, but I'd MARK THE FUCK OUT LIKE JERICHO 1999!!

As for a returning HHH: methinks he's the GM, unless they pull another "did it for da Rock" moment and retcon it into Nash. More on that in a minute.

So, the top 2 guys in all of WWE get a commercial break, jobber entrance treatment? Ziggler now has a chance to become a world champion by having a woman pin another woman?? Those belts must sure be important. :shifty:

Loving Layla's "unsure, super chicken-shit heel" routine. Loved the whole cowering in a fetal mass thing, and the jumping on McCool like Shaggy and Scooby was a nice (and hot) touch. Also, it opens up a door for a face turn, as Michelle will get tired of carrying her.

Let me get this straight: Eve is the Diva's champion, yet Gail Kim is feuding with two valets over a guy- and CATFIGHTING them, no less? This bullshit has to stop!

...soooo, more dancing Samoans, WWE? I thought the Uso's were heels raging against stereotypes and misuse. Now they're jobbing to the guy who stole their girl with a bullshit (albeit VERY OVER) finisher, and having a dance-off? And on that note, this is a reason why I think HHH is the GM. That's a D-X like prank, along with when he was using everyone's catch phrases to end the e-mails.

THAT'S HOW YOU GET MORRISON OVER!!! PLAY. TO. HIS. STRENGTHS! He's not super compotent to deliver blockbuster, ground-shaking JoMo promo, and yes, he's in serious danger of falling into spot-monkey territory, but as long as you dont have him do 800 "wow" moments EVERY week, or make every match a ladder/cage/falls count anywhere where it gets old quick (they actually did that with Jeff Hardy, luckily the fangirls kept him afloat) and just get him over as a highly athletic and unorthodox threat, and you got a winner. Also, did I hear a (albeit faint and sweetened for TV) "You Fucked Up!" chant when R-Truth failed to skin the cat??

jkman61494 02-01-2011 10:21 AM

Right on with JOMO dude. Less is more with him. Like I siad in a previous page on here, if they could drop this stupid 70's rock star gimmick, the guy is gold.

And while I know this will piss off the IWC's, the stuff going on with Daniel Bryan is just embarrassing. If I were a big fan of him, I'd be enraged how mis-used this guy is. The ONLY feud he's had in this industry now consists of breaking up a catfight, way to go WWE.

They are absolutely letting a belt die with this now. It was kind of annoying the first month or so, but Bryan has had the belt what, 4 months now? How many feuds has he had over the belt, umm 0?

I have massively enjoyed what the WWE has done to elevate some new talent, but they are just absolutely destroying the credibility of their mid-card talent. They've dropped the ball on Bryan, Mark Henry, Ted DiBiase, Tyson Kidd, DH Smith, and to a lesser extent R-Truth. Right there are six guys you could mingle in with feuds for a US Title but now they're just all jokes and/or jobbers.

I was so happy Lawler won that match last night and all of us there last night were making out like bitches ... but today, I'm thinking, do you guys think he'll ready go to WM to face The Miz or will something change before then?

#BROKEN Hasney 02-01-2011 12:37 PM

He's fighting at EC, not WM.

No need to be rude to others man

Fignuts 02-01-2011 05:54 PM

Don't worry about it geodude. It is SC's gimmick to be a hypocrite.

Providence Peep 02-01-2011 06:27 PM

Thanks, guys... besides, I really don't care what someone with three red dots under his name thinks or writes about me.

So, RAW had it's highest rating (3.5) since August 30...up from a 3.29 last week (I read it on the front page).

Is it possible more fans tuned in hoping to see DIESEL?

Is it possible this may have had an impact on a higher RAW rating?

If so, WWE needs to do something with him.

I think it's a stretch to say that, Nash didn't do shit for TNA

Cool King 02-01-2011 11:50 PM

I think the ratings are always high after The Royal Rumble. I think it also may have helped that a "rookie" (Del Rio) won The Rumble.

Yeah, that's what I told my boss at work. I found out he had 3 red dots of negative internet reputation.

When I flagged this internally, I got his job. That's how important reputation is.

That's just plain silly.

A Nash bump is WAYY higher than that. If he's back on regular TV, expect a 48.0 rating.
