It's a cool way to get heat and makes Owens heel as fuck for now. Crazy uncomfortable seeing a 72 year old man take a blow to the head for real though. Especially considering how concussion-conscious they are nowadays.

#1-norm-fan 09-13-2017 05:37 PM

Side note: It would have been cool if Stephanie sold Owens having free range to beat up a McMahon and clearly being a crazy man but cowering and being afraid on her way past him to the ring instead of having to look all badass and getting up in his face.

Droford 09-13-2017 07:30 PM

I was surprised she didn't slap him

Anybody other than Vince McMahon I would understand where you are coming from. But we're talking about Vince McMahon here.

Was really shocked by the haedbutt and how brutal it looked. Really sold the segment and made it seem serious. WWE has really been push alot of shoot style promos and segments. More so on Raw with Roman/Cena and the Enzo stuff but more of a personal factor on Smackdown with the families of the authority figures coming into play alot.

I was thinking if she did they should just end the angle right there.

Since she does slap EVERYBODY ELSE I think that part of the segment was fine.

Evil Vito 09-14-2017 08:44 AM

That was Steph's first on-screen appearance since WrestleMania and within seconds she reminded me why I was sick of her as a character.

She can't ever look intimidated. Ever.

Back in the day before the Monday Night wars, McMahon’s TV, both cable and syndicated shows, consisted of squash matches where a no name, literally often not even introduced, jobbers lost to pushed talent. In December 1990, The Rockers (Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels) squared off against Lanny Poffo and such a jobber. The squash hit a snag when Jannetty used the rocker dropper, a standing leg drop across the foe’s neck driving his face DDT-like into the mat. But when the jobber took the move wrong and broke his neck leaving him partially paralyzed, the McMahon family learned the injured jobber’s name (Charles Austin) expensively and quickly. Austin successfully sued winning $26.7 million.

You mean the Women's Championship that was successfully defended at WrestleMania by the incredibly successful face Bayley?

See? You get it. I knew you would eventually. 😊

Savio 09-15-2017 08:27 AM

Feel like vince is going to lose interest in SDL since even with his promoted appearance and 2 MNF games it didn't beat raw.

Lock Jaw 09-15-2017 08:58 AM

Nah, he'll just blame Sami Zayn.

Somehow.

Nah. People would see through it.

We should all just blame the man who is responsible for every bad thing in professional wrestling ever, Lex Luger.

DAMN iNATOR 09-15-2017 07:43 PM

Wait...I've got it...he'll blame Sami for it by saying he admitted Luger put him up to it!

Case Closed. #SHUTITDOWN
