I did love that Rogues Gallery of all the heel teams on the ramp

Loose Cannon 01-05-2022 10:02 PM

O'reilly and Fish just look like they're in another league standing next to everyone else

Same dude. So horrible. I feel so bad for the guy.

Horrific injury, fuck

Sepholio 01-05-2022 10:07 PM

ngl I thought Luchasaurus was hurt too on that move, he immediately went to flopping on the ground and screaming holding his arm too and from the initial angle it looked like his arm got hung up in the table or something. Didn't realize Rey was hurt at first til I saw him pointing at his arm.

Loose Cannon 01-05-2022 10:08 PM

god, he just tried to break his fall and his arm was just in no mans land :(

Yeah he was holding his arm and it looked limp when he got back in the ring at the end also

Table was too close to the ring for that spot :-(

slik 01-05-2022 10:24 PM

I definitely am going to have watch Real Housewives now so I can not focus on that spot

Supreme Olajuwon 01-05-2022 10:36 PM

Probably gonna stop watching wrestling for the foreseeable future

Take up Real Housewives so we can discuss that

let's bring back the #HotTeenDrama Forum and rebrand as the #RealHousewives Forum

ron the dial 01-05-2022 10:44 PM

or was it just a thread graciously hosted by Kris P in the mma forum? who knows. my brain hurts after that shit.

Vastardikai 01-05-2022 10:54 PM

Based on results:

1. Can we call Bryan Danielson buried, now?
2. "MJF, we need you to take one for the team..." "OK!"
3. I wonder if TBS' Standards and Practices is as blase' about wordy words as TNT's was.
4. "Ruby, I need you to take one for the team..." "That's fine, I didn't want to Ho's Title, anyway."
5. The Third (and least charismatic) Pillar finally has a belt in AEW. The apple fell very far from that tree, then rolled down a mountain, got swept away by a river, and suck to the bottom of the sea.
6. And... they killed Rey Fenix (again). Seriously, how many times has he been injured doing stupid shit in AEW? This has to be at least the 5th time.
7. Can we just get a new Dinosaur man? One who doesn't look like he's fighting underwater, and isn't dangerous in the ring?

There's a lot of drama (both personal and of the legal nature) on the various RH shows...from current series of RH of SLC alone:

* The FBI/Homeland Security interupted filming, on a party bus, with an arrest warrant for a cast member

* Someone's grandmother died and it was stated in her will for her grandaughter to marry her grandfather, which she then did

* A cast member who has their own church it turns out is actually running a cult where the people in the church think she is God

Evil Vito 01-05-2022 11:06 PM

Sounds like Jake Atlas blew out his knee on Rampage :( bad night for injuries

slik 01-05-2022 11:07 PM

Just saw that mentioned on twitter, yikes.

The match was ended ASAP and Atlas was helped to the back

Sepholio 01-05-2022 11:12 PM

Damn isnt this only his first or second appearance for AEW? Shit luck man.

Triple A 01-05-2022 11:13 PM

oh jeez

Bryan Alvarez says broken arm, but PWInsider says "the belief is he likely dislocated his elbow."

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Fenix broken arm heading to hospital</p>&mdash; Bryan Alvarez (@bryanalvarez) <a href="https://twitter.com/bryanalvarez/status/1478934727272796161?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">January 6, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Rey Fenix was taken to the hospital. The belief is he likely dislocated his elbow, which given how evil the injury looked, would be a blessing.

Jordan 01-06-2022 01:27 AM

It broke the skin that's for sure. You can see a ton of blood pooling up right after he lands and his arm is all floppy and he starts motioning to someone that he's really injured.

xrodmuc316 01-06-2022 01:43 AM

Work smarter, not harder. Fenix breaks his arm for about 1/10th the amount of money Tony Khan is paying Phil to bury his talent and cut "Fed Bad" promos.

Jordan 01-06-2022 01:46 AM

At this point Fenix has got to make a change.

What kind of a tone deaf post is this? Do you have no shame or are you mildly challenged?

Its like the 4th time he has been injured in AEW. Maybe it is time he changes things up.

Sepholio 01-06-2022 02:56 AM

I get what you mean. He is one of the highest of the high flyers, always taking ridiculous risks and bumps. At some point you can't sustain that style anymore, whether you just can't do it or whether you get hurt repeatedly or whatever. He's been hurt alot the last few years, and this one may end up being really bad. At some point he has to tone it down.

It sucks though because this style and what he does is what makes him special. I'm sure he can still work great though even if he backs off the insane bumps all the time. He's talented af, if anyone can make it work it's a guy like Rey.

And while it's a bit insensitive what Xrod is saying about money isn't wrong. It can't be easy going out there week in and week out putting your body and health on the line like Rey does and only make a fraction of what an old timer who hasn't worked in 7 years gets to come out and cut the same promo every week and (until now with MJF and other than the Darby program) has only faced relative low carders. It would annoy me to be in that position, anyways.

weather vane 01-06-2022 03:33 AM

You guys are the worst lol.

Just window lickers, gotta keep upping the shock factor or everyone ignores them.

Sting Fan 01-06-2022 04:00 AM

Another awesome show!

Hangman vs Dragon was hot shit.

Jade winning TBS title was the right call and hopefully will help her grow as well.

Punk and MJF can keep going as far as I’m concerned.

Main event was sweet, gutted for Fenix to get injured (looked disgusting) and probably took away from JBs big win a bit sadly but good call on the title change IMO. They made me bite on a couple of false finishes too!

If I was to criticise tonight (haven’t read the thread) World title commentary felt flat, a few big moves felt a bit ignored and false finishes didn’t seem very likely to finish based on the announcers reaction. This did detract from the match for me.

Sepholio 01-06-2022 04:06 AM

Were any of you hurt by what Xrod said or something? Because you're acting like you're hurt.

It sucks what happened but it literally has no bearing on anyone here. Not sure why you're acting like it's taboo to talk about it.

Also not sure how suggesting Rey may need to tone it down so he doesn't end up ending his career early is bad. Saying it sucks that he isn't compensated as much as a guy like Punk for all the effort he puts in isn't some shocking statement; it's kinda realistic. It's insensitive to Rey, the timing is bad, but it isn't wrong and like I said it effects no one here so I don't get it.

You guys just get bitchy about everything he says because it's the in thing to do here. Kinda sad.

ron the dial 01-06-2022 04:08 AM

does he need a white knight like rhi?

Sepholio 01-06-2022 04:08 AM

I mean I get it, bringing up Punk/fed bad promos is typical Xrod. It's kinda amusing considering how he complains about Tony Khan being Tony Khan all the time. But jfc give the guy a break some time.

Apparently so. But I mean go on. Run off the only new person we've had here in years because they don't have the same opinion as everyone else.

ron the dial 01-06-2022 04:12 AM

hey xrod are you a big baby like that? i don't think so, but maybe i'm wrong.

Sepholio 01-06-2022 04:14 AM

I didn't think Droford could ever be run off yet here we are.
