Ohio State was the better team. Don't underestimate how good Vince Young was.

I'm not saying either one would work necessarily, but single coverage on Gonzalez would definintely be the lesser of two evils.

Don't be so sure about that. Gonzalez has much better hands and is more disciplined as a route runner than Ginn. Apparently Gonzalez also beat Ginn in a 40 yd race earlier this year. Ginn is explosive when he gets the ball, but for what it's worth Anthony "White Lightning" Gonzalez is the better receiver right now.

Boston College baby. Florida State was strugglin with Troy this past weekend, hmm would be pretty bomb if BC made it to the ACC title game. I doubt it'll happen though.

The Outlaw 09-11-2006 07:15 PM

#3 vs. #6 this weekend. GAME OF THE WEEKKKKKK. Also #7 vs. #13. #4 vs. #19.

I love games like this. Any other hot games going on? I think there are a few more?

BCWWF 09-14-2006 02:54 PM

Haha I read about that

Jesus Shuttlesworth 09-14-2006 04:20 PM

Ohio State is gonna be playing in the National Championship this year, unless the defense somehow fucks it up. I really don't see how any team they are going to face is going to stop that offense.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-14-2006 04:36 PM

If Drew Tate somehow actually becomes a decent QB then Iowa could beat OSU in a shootout

Shadow 09-15-2006 02:52 AM

Anybody see WVU vs. Maryland tonight?

First quarter....Maryland was still driving up to Morgantown.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 09-15-2006 09:58 AM

Steve Slaton had 147 yards rushing with 1 minute left in the 1st quater

WVU isn't that good though, they are only ranked so high because they are the only good team in their conference...............

BCWWF 09-16-2006 03:20 AM

BCWWF 09-16-2006 02:20 PM

Michigan USC TCU Oregon Florida Miami Auburn I bet those turn out to be pretty off, but that's who I want to win. Although Florida and Tennessee and Auburn and LSU are indifferent to me, because I like them all.

RoXer 09-16-2006 03:39 PM

Stima is at a pretty good game.

OK, I will try to make this simple. How would West Virginia finish if it's schedule was this: Louisiana-Lafayette Arizona @ Auburn Tulane Mississippi State @ Florida Kentucky Fresno State @ Tennessee Alabama Mississippi @ Arkansas My prediction: 9-3 Now what about if West Virginia faced this schedule: Marshall Eastern Washington Maryland at East Carolina at Mississippi State Syracuse at Connecticut at Louisville Cincinnati at Pittsburgh South Florida Rutgers My prediction: 12-0 ----------------- So, if West Virginia goes 12-0, they will inevitably end up in the BCS top-5, probably quite easily. BUT, if the exact same team played a different schedule and went 9-3, it wouldn't be in a BCS bowl. So basically what I am saying is that the rankings are not always accurate. If even an average team, say for example TCU went 12-0 in the Mountain West, they would most likely get a BCS bid. BUT, if that same TCU team went 9-3 in the SEC, it would not get a BCS bid because it was not undefeated. West Virginia is a great team, but not No. 5 in the nation, I am sorry Stima, but it's true. The one ranked team on the schedule lost it's Heisman candidate running back, the rest is cupcakes.

RoXer 09-17-2006 12:18 AM

I am going to ask this question again:

Is it normal for a kicker to kick 75 yd FGs during warm-ups? Because Nick Folk BLASTED one from the other 35. Last week, it was the other 40.

Dudes going to be hitting them from the goal line eventually.

Have you even watched WVU play? How do you know they wouldn't have a better record than 9-3 in the SEC?

Louisiana-Lafayette W
Arizona W
@ Auburn Toss up, probably a L
Tulane W
Mississippi State W
@ Florida Toss up, I'd say a W but could either way
Kentucky W
Fresno State W
@ Tennessee W
Alabama W
Mississippi W
@ Arkansas W

I guess the Tennesse game could be a toss up as well, I'd see them winning that. Or atleast all 3 of those games being very close with the ability to go either way, just because WVU is in a weaker conference doesn't mean they are a weaker team. Ask Georgia (2005 SEC Champions)

RoXer 09-17-2006 01:49 PM

(2) NOTRE DAME 5.5 • (11) Michigan Correct Mich 47, ND 21

Jesus Shuttlesworth 09-17-2006 05:22 PM

I understand that the SEC is tougher and it is harder to play better teams week after week, but this is the way college football has worked forever. Miami was never punished for dominating a pretty average Big East (before the changes) same goes for FSU dominating the ACC for all those years (before the changes) so I don't see what is any different with WVU now.

BCWWF 09-17-2006 09:53 PM

I wouldn't say they are being punished. I also wouldn't say that they are getting the short end of the stick. If they can completely dominate their schedule and not lose a game, maybe they will warrant a national championship spot. That is what happened in the past, I mean look at USC, the Pac-10 isn't all that great but they kicked the shit out of most opponents, so it was clear why they were getting the votes.

My reasoning for bringing up the LSU schedule is because I just don't think that WVU would win that many games. If they can't win games in a different conference, obviously they aren't national championship caliber. Of course that is completely my opinion, and it is still early in the season. My opinion is just that if every team was on the same playing field, meaning the rankings were not based on if LSU losing to Auburn type games, WVU wouldn't be as high as they are.

To clarify that, I mean LSU loses to Auburn, but does that mean that LSU is worse than they were last week? Texas could still be the No. 2 team in the nation, but they lost to Ohio State and are now ninth or something. That's just what I mean when I say the rankings are based too much on wins than objectivity.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 09-17-2006 10:41 PM

None that stuff has to do with WVU being a top 5 team in the nation, which I think they are. Maybe a top 10 I guess, since the majority of them could be interchangable after the top 2 or 3.

Its pretty much gonna come down to Ohio State, Auburn or USC playing in the
National Championship anyway. I thought ND had a shot (I feel like a joke for sipping on that hype machine coolaid now) but obviously that is no longer the case. Although if they do end up running the table from here on out, Norte Dame is the only team that could get enough love to be a 1 loss team (with that loss being a blow out) to get a National Title shot. They won't though, USC is going to win by atleast 3 touchdowns.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-17-2006 11:19 PM

I'm pretty confident that Louisville can beat WVU this year. The game is at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium so who knows.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 09-17-2006 11:22 PM

lol Papa John's Cardinal Stadium

Well I think Louisville is a top 10 team so they got a shot to beat WVU. Too bad they got some big injuries right now, otherwise they would have romped the U by even more. I missed most of that game though, so did Louisville dominate as much the score looked or did Miami just play an awful game or something?

BCWWF 09-18-2006 12:53 AM

Lol yeah that is the worst name I've heard. I was more on the Louisville bandwagon than the WVU, but the loss of the running back makes it harder. I still don't think either team is top-5 in the whole nation though.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-18-2006 01:10 AM

Louisville fucked Miami up the whole game. They were impressive.

The Outlaw 09-18-2006 06:34 PM

OU got majorly robbed. I don't see how they reviewed it and STILL got it wrong. Both the pass intro and the onside kick call. That pass intro that they picked up against Auburn I though was crap too. They said that it was the right call because the pass was uncatchable after the guy tipped the ball. So, basically, on a hail mary, a team could tackle all the receivers in the end zone, but as long as one of their players can tip the ball, it's no penalty? Lol, riiiiight.
