Looks like he's wearing make-up from where I'm sitting.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-20-2010 10:01 AM

The Cardinals needed help at 3rd base, so they traded for Pedro Feliz. That's right, Pedro Feliz, the guy with the lowest WAR in majors this season with a sexy sexy .555 OPS.

Adder 08-20-2010 03:13 PM

didn't Clemens run off to clear his name to the Senate? He invited himself so to speak because his name had been mentioned @ 25-plus times. He walked himself into this mess... unless I'm misremembering.

Adder 08-20-2010 03:15 PM

Clemens was singled out by name 82 times in the 409-page report, compiled by former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell and released in December 2007.
..."25-plus times".

Emperor Smeat 08-20-2010 04:44 PM

It didn't help him either that the Mitchell report was very heavy in detailing the steroid ring that was occurring around the New York-Toronto area while other main reports focused either in the San Francisco-California area or Florida-Georgia area. I think Bonds got outed in the San Fran Balco report but forgot who was the big name for the Florida area report.

Majority of the players in those reports were related to those areas or played for teams near the area since those were the major steroid rings compared to players who only played in smaller areas like a Minnesota or Pittsburgh for example.

DaveWadding 08-20-2010 04:58 PM

Marmol should be shot.

ClockShot 08-20-2010 05:02 PM

Marlins catcher Ronny Paulino suspended 50 games for violating league's substance abuse policy.

Aguakate 08-20-2010 06:05 PM

I think in an interview yesterday they showed on "Outside the Lines" on ESPN, Harry Reid (Chairman of the Comission that held the public audience) said Roger didn't have to testify, he didn't have to go before Congress, yet I guess in an effort to steer himself away from all the Steroid talk, and probably biting off more than he could chew, he decided to go...

...talk about backfiring.

Droford 08-20-2010 09:20 PM

The ump in this O's/Rangers game has the worst strike zone Ive seen in a while.

I dont know how CJ wilson doesn't already have 20 ks (Hes got 13 I think through 7)

Gertner 08-20-2010 10:55 PM

Sorry Boston that we didn't use lube. 16-2.

Aguakate 08-21-2010 12:13 PM

...how is it that Russell Branyan doesn't hit 40 HomeRuns every year? He's awesome.

PS: Bautista has 38. Geez.

Innovator 08-21-2010 01:24 PM

Branyan just reached the upper deck in Yankee Stadium, first person.

ClockShot 08-21-2010 04:45 PM

Branyan always does damage at Yankee Stadium.

He was the first guy to hit the glass at the sports bar.

Droford 08-21-2010 05:16 PM

I wasnt sold on Josh Bell earlier in the season when he got called up, but after today..

2 HR (First of his career) and 5 RBI

I think he really is the 3B of the future for the Os.

LOL Dodgers, thanks for him in the trade for George Sherill. That didn't work out too well for them.

Droford 08-21-2010 05:55 PM

Bell just missed a 3rd HR by about a foot off the groundscrew roof, all off Cliff Lee.

ClockShot 08-21-2010 09:00 PM

Yankees sent Oppenheimer and Eppler to Japan to look in on Yu Darvish.

2014(the earliest Darvish can become and International Free Agent) is so far away. The kid's got stuff, but Japanese pitchers haven't fared well here in the states. Matsuzaka sorta fizzled out quick, and Igawa is the worst $45 mil. we ever spent.

Maybe the next WBC will change my mind.

That's almost as bad as the Red Sox acquiring Eric Patterson when Pedroia first got hurt, and he's the worse Patterson.

McLegend 08-21-2010 10:36 PM

Strasburg left the game tonight injured. It didn't look good.

Aguakate 08-21-2010 10:48 PM

Say hello to Kerry Wood #3 (Kerry Wood #2 was Mark Prior).

Supreme Olajuwon 08-21-2010 11:07 PM

Kung Fu Cueto not looking too good in his return from suspension. Dodgers are lighting him up.

Uh, Sherill was rather amazing for us last year. LOL Orioles for sucking cock for 10 years or so.

Triple Naitch 08-22-2010 11:12 AM

They have the same amount of rings as the Dodgers do in that time.

YOUR Hero 08-22-2010 12:27 PM

It's a good thing the Yankees have C.C.

Innovator 08-22-2010 12:28 PM

Lou is retiring today.

To a lesser extent Phillip Hughes, but thank god for CC.

Nervous Ferret 08-22-2010 02:03 PM

There is no way the Mariners are getting a hit off CC today.

SammyG 08-22-2010 02:30 PM

Rod Barajas huh. Great.

The Cubs suck so bad not even he could take it anymore.

Guttierrez doubled on the very next pitch CC threw for the record

Supreme Olajuwon 08-22-2010 03:11 PM

I do not understand how CC Sabathia functions. This is going to be his 4th straight year of 230+ IP on a 6'7 290 lb frame.

Nervous Ferret 08-22-2010 03:13 PM

And it seems to take him about 150 innings before he really even gets going. He is really good all year. In August and September, he is God.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-22-2010 03:19 PM

He's just so relaxed and fluid with his mechanics. Looks like he puts almost no strain on his arm when he throws.

Skippord 08-22-2010 04:40 PM

he's a fat terminator

Supreme Olajuwon 08-22-2010 05:24 PM

nah he's way more durable than those stupid things

Skippord 08-22-2010 06:23 PM

they were just talking about how durable he is during the Rockies game last night

spooooooooky

Supreme Olajuwon 08-22-2010 06:41 PM

Nice sendoff for Sweet Lou. A 16-5 butt stomping from the Braves.

Emperor Smeat 08-22-2010 07:29 PM

Sort of surprised he would just retire instead of waiting until after 1 more month when the season ends.

It seemed like every year he was either in a feud with Zambrano or with Bradley when he was a Cub.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-22-2010 07:35 PM

His mom is sick.

YOUR Hero 08-22-2010 10:41 PM

Yeah his mom's health is failling rite now.
