Couldn't beat Seth on very easy iirc. What I've noticed is that a lot of people who I play with irl and are run of the mill can't beat the computer for shit. However, they can hold their own against real people.

Got this in the mail, popped it in, chose Ken on easy, kicked ass until Rufis. Lost like 6 in a row, almost threw controller again, calmed down, stopped using only the heavy punch and heavy kick buttons, mixed it up a little, finally beat Rufis, then beat Seth the very first time. Much better.

Go to trial mode first and learn some combos, ffs.

Seriously, I spent 1 month training a friend of mine from scrub to talented scrub. He's still scrubtacular as far as learning and getting around patterns, but holy shit his pokes are incredible sometimes.

lol dunno how else to put it. He's incredible at poking you at the weirdest times, but for most of a match I can literally tell him what I'm going to do before I connect with it and win. He's better than me at mvc3. He's also generally a spastic when it comes to videogames that aren't FPS tho.

Beat Seth the first time with Ryu on Medium! Awesome fight. It was down to the last round, both of us were almost dead. I avoided his Ultra Combo and finished him with a Shoyuken.

Watching the Spooky stream, just watched some 13 year old absolutely destroy as Fei. Team was down 2-0, ended up beating the rest of the team himself. His timing was flawless; wish I had a video to show.

Seriously, I wouldn't care if it was on a disc and on disc for £10, but it won't be, and the low SSF4 price won't cut it here. Wish I hadn't have gotten the handheld one now, unless that has an update since it was so fucking recent. |

More likely we're getting six characters (new models, VO, music, endings), a rebalanced system, and who knows what else. I had a nagging thought that this would be the case since I had trouble excepting Capcom actually stuffing all of that as DLC. I'm fine with this; once upon a time I purchased three versions of SF2 full priced. It's almost refreshing to see Capcom kick it oldschool in this manner. It won't be full priced if SSF4 is any indication.

They'll have to do better than 4 characters (2 of which are unbalanced shotos) and balance tweaks. Not impressed rn.

From what I seen E.Ryu and Oni Akuma are fairly balanced (well E.Ryu, anyway).
I would really like to see if Karin made the cut. Yun and Yang don't do it for me, E.Ryu interests me some, but Oni Akuma seems strange. There's a lot of talk of Hugo making the cut. My only hope is Karin as far as new characters go. Gonna assume they will add a search feature to replay, and bring back a proper gallery mode. Lobbies, Team Lobbies, Tournament (possibly tweaked to HDR version) will likely return. SSF4 has a very good online suite that shouldn't be messed with too much outside of tweaks to existing features. |
