Looks like about 650,000 viewers

Seanny One Ball 07-10-2020 10:04 PM

That's how many people were in the Pontiac Silverdome when Hogan slammed Andre

And there are like six people left who like this shit and push it over 3 pages some weeks.

Fight for the Fallen has two comedy matches that are going to be treated like serious affairs and go multiple segments. Mox and Cage probably has some appeal to the hardcore fan, but they’ll whittle that audience down by the time it gets there. I’ve never seen such bad booking of a “major” promotion. Not even Vince Russo fucks shit up this much. At least they sat at 1.1 for their entire existence.

As long as they get 150k 48 year olds, that’s the real battle.

To be fair, there is only like 12 of us who post here at all lol

Mr. Nerfect 07-11-2020 02:30 AM

Lol, Meltzer rated three matches from this week above 4 stars. I did an average on match quality and that puts this week's episode of television above WrestleMania III, WrestleMania 17 and SummerSlam 2002.

Khali actually means something in India. Brodie Lee has exposed all the potential people thought he had as absolute bullshit. Being a "tall Indian man" is much less offensive than AWFUL Vince McMahon parody.

And yes, how something is pushed does affect how fucking offensive it is. Can anyone name a worse faction than The Dark Order?

Touched a nerve with Noid apparently. All I wanted was to know what point you were making so you can’t just backtrack on it again... seems fair to me.

So you agree Kahlis gimmick was tall Indian man? Name a worse faction... now or in history coz Frankly I would watch dark order over whatever the fuck that train wreck with Garza is on Raw. I’m sure there’s plenty more in history but keep the hyperbole flowing I guess.

Emotionally attached.

Yeah forum numbers are right in line with wrestling ratings and to get fair I’m sure it’s more than just me that only log in to watch the train wreck, much like wrestling nowadays :)

Yes, because detached people make threads devoted to other posters.

slik 07-11-2020 05:19 AM

Sane people spend a significant amount of time talking about a tv show other people enjoy that they don't.

Yeah, who has ever heard of criticism? Especially on a wrestling forum. The next time you complain about Raw or SmackDown, I'll be sure to remind you of what a hypocrite you're being.

slik 07-11-2020 05:35 AM

You are not critical lol.

What do you hope to accomplish letting everyone know you dislike a product they enjoy ad naseum?

Yes I am. I'm constantly explaining why what they are doing is ineffective. And I'm usually right. Then I get called a cocksucker and have dishonest worms like you edit my posts. None of that is going to save AEW from itself.

slik 07-11-2020 05:43 AM

Why are you talking about AEW so much if you dislike it?

You don't even watch the weekly shows and made it a point to watch AEW this week for the purpose of posting about disliking it. Do you not get how weird that is? What's the point, why waste the energy attacking something people overall here seem to enjoy?

Because I'm obsessed with wrestling and want to see the industry get better overall. I watched the show this week and gave my honest opinions. Why is it okay for, say, Smeat to post his thoughts about SmackDown, but I can't do so about Dynamite? Is it because the truth stings?

People have come to these forums talking about how shit the general product is for about twenty fucking years now (since it really started going to shit). It's now a problem? It's now "weird?" You're just insecure about your opinions.

I do get enjoyment seeing people get frazzled by negative comments about AEW. Some of the excuses that fall out of the tree are absolutely amazing. But I think criticism of this sort of thing is important, especially if people want something other than a Vince McMahon monopoly.

700k viewers on Wednesday night with a bad parody of sports entertainment is not going to make Vince McMahon change direction. He just announced an Eye for an Eye Match. He's more assured than ever he's got an untouchable slice of the industry, and you know what? He's fucking right. These guys have proven Vince McMahon right. If there's something a hardcore wrestling fan should hate, it's that.

And, by the way, I don't attack it because people enjoy it -- I attack it because it's bad. Enjoy whatever the fuck you want. At least grow some fucking balls about it and stop whinging that not everybody is going to pretend it's ace for you.

slik 07-11-2020 05:58 AM

LOL

99% of your posts are about how much you dislike AEW, if not more than that. That's not healthy interweb posting. You don't rile anyone here up, it comes across as weird and toxic and sad. You obviously are not going to change the minds of people here who enjoy what they are watching...so why keep posting? Find a better use of energy and time, life is short.

How dare Cage not live the gimmick. Should have gone to the hospital and finished the kid off with the FTW belt himself!

Fignuts 07-11-2020 06:21 AM

You can totally visit the sick kid in the hospital. Just don't post pictures of it on twitter mere days after you declared your self the baddest mother fucker in the industry and were given a title called the Fuck the World Championship.

Fignuts 07-11-2020 06:23 AM

More like the Fuck the World Except for this One Kid in the Hospital Who is Fighting so Hard and OMG he's so Brave You Guys Championship.

Sting Fan 07-11-2020 06:40 AM

Did you read the tweet? The kid died, he visited him in December.

Fignuts 07-11-2020 06:51 AM

Have Cody or Adam Page make a tweet asking for donations. Shit you'd probably get more. This doesn't have to be this hard.

This all just comes back to what I was saying earlier about the whole FTW title return being a mistake.

Ol Dirty Dastard 07-11-2020 08:44 AM

Gonna have to agree with Fignuts on this.

Ol Dirty Dastard 07-11-2020 08:46 AM

Believe in what you're doing as a wrestler. Don't make it clear to fans you see it as you cosplaying a character.

Christ, even the Trailer Park Boys stayed in character for public appearances. You knew the show wasn't real, but it always made you go "I wonder if these guys are like that in real life" to some degree. Those little touches go a long way.

No, we’re not past it. The Dark Order is probably the worst faction in history. They’re fucking atrocious, never been over for a day, and have been pushed as a main event entity.

You’re trying to do the cool antagonizing kid waving the fingers, but it doesn’t work when you went out of your way to create a thread obsessing about me.

There’s almost ZERO useful discussion here outside of what Gertner posts. Don’t tell me what is healthy. Let me enjoy what I enjoy ;). I riled Sting Fan up enough that he made a thread about me. I riled you up enough to edit one of my posts. Methinks the lady doth protest too much. I enjoy talking about wrestling, and I’ll do it how I want without caving to your groupthink.

They’ve only got a few good teams. This tag roster would barely be deeper than SmackDown’s.

You’re drunk.

If Khali showed up on AEW Dark they might actually crack 1 million views. He’s the raging shits, but his gimmick isn’t worse than the cult leader in pyjamas. More over too.

Seanny One Ball 07-11-2020 12:35 PM

AEW should hire Colin Kaepernick and have him kneel during his own intro every single time.
Then the white guys drag him away and he never gets to wrestle.
The world is ready and they need hot ratings.

It would be gross if Vince did it but AEW are a cutting edge new company with no history of antagonistic gimmickry...

Anyhoo...

slik 07-11-2020 12:37 PM

I would love if Colin appeared in AEW

He and MJF/Wardlow could get into a fight

slik 07-11-2020 12:39 PM

AEW needs to do a crossover w/ Shaq too when rona ends...

Shaq/Luchasaurus vs MJF/Wardlow

special guest ref: Colin Kaepernick

It's almost like he is being held back by creative, but once he gets that creative freedom, look out cause it's gonna be a paradigm shift!

Oh wait, that was his excuse last year. Maybe he just isn't as good as he thinks he is.
