Its from Ryan Clark but might explain why Sheamus vs Bryan lasted just 18 seconds and might have been the match the WWE kept rewriting based on earlier reports also from Clark.

Quote:

– WWE wanted to open WrestleMania with either the WWE or World title match. They went back and forth on it over the weekend and eventually decided on the World title match opening the show.

– As seen at WrestleMania 28 tonight, Sheamus became the World Heavyweight Champion by defeating Daniel Bryan in the opening match. Sheamus won in just 18 seconds with a Brogue Kick.

The plan was for them to beat the Kane vs. Chavo Guerrero record for the shortest match a few years ago but they didn’t beat it. The short title change had apparently been planned for a while but there were people in WWE trying to get it changed.

Xero 04-02-2012 06:06 PM

Scott Steiner has been released.

Huh?

Corporate CockSnogger 04-02-2012 06:08 PM

Lol imagine if it were the Jericho v Punk match that opened and Punk won in 18 seconds.

Corporate CockSnogger 04-02-2012 06:10 PM

Also, I'm reading the Wrestlemania thread on a football (soccer for most of you bastards) forum I go on. It's pretty hilarious reading the mixed emotions of mostly people who haven't watched in years.

Corporate CockSnogger 04-02-2012 06:11 PM

There was only 1 person on said forum who enjoyed Triple H vs Undertaker. Most are complaining that they didn't get on top of the cell.

Man Died While Watching WWE’s WrestleMania 28 PPV

Posted by Marc Middleton on April 2, 2012 at 6:37 PM

- NOLA.com reports that 24 year old Stephen A. Arceneaux III from Destrehan, Louisiana died while watching WrestleMania 28. The man was reportedly choked out by his 14 year old cousin and pronounced dead at 10:39pm local time.

From NOLA.com:

“According to St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne, Arceneaux had gathered with friends at a home on Murray Hill Drive to watch the pay-per-view event “Wrestlemania 28″ on television when he and a 14-year-old cousin began to wrestle on an inflated mattress on the floor. The juvenile, who is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds, placed his arm around the neck of Arceneaux, who was 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighed 220 pounds, in a move commonly known as a “rear naked choke hold” for 30 to 40 seconds.

Witnesses reported that Arceneaux said he would not give up or “tap out.”

But at some point, someone noticed that Arceneaux was turning blue and told the youngster to release the hold. When he did, witnesses realized that Arceneaux had stopped breathing and dialed 911, shortly after 10 p.m.

Arceneaux’s girlfriend tried to revive him with CPR. He was transported to St. Charles Parish Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Champagne said the investigation is continuing. No arrests have been made.”

Sheriff Champagne?

Corporate CockSnogger 04-02-2012 07:06 PM

Pretty sweet name if you ask me

#BROKEN Hasney 04-02-2012 07:09 PM

Better dead than tapping out to a 14 year old. Good for him.

GD 04-02-2012 07:13 PM

Remember when RAW jobbers got drafted to Smackdown and got promoted to mid-card feuds. Good days.

he landed a 450 a bit awkwardly at one point, I'd guess that

VSG 04-02-2012 08:44 PM

The top rope was slippery and he landed awkwardly off one of his moves.

Droford 04-03-2012 01:30 AM

I wonder if after last year where the big complaint was that the crowd sounded dead the whole night during WM if they miced up the crowd a little extra last night..

Also wonder if the NJ/NY crowd which could be close to 85,000 will be as loud and involved as last night.

James Steele 04-03-2012 01:43 AM

MetLife Stadium looks like it would hold sound in a lot better.

Gonzo 04-03-2012 02:06 AM

I can say the crowd noise at the Meadowlands can get pretty loud but I think the issue with outside venues is the sound isn't trapped and reverberated from a roof. Of course, it seems loud when you're in the middle of the crowd but I don't know how well that translates to the television audience.

How much would the cheapest decent tickets be? I'm actually considering going since it's pretty close and probably accessible with a 30 minute Greyhound ride.

Droford 04-03-2012 02:38 AM

If I win one of the 100 sets of tickets, Im gonna hold a competition on here for the extra ticket, I dont want to have to sit with DTTS on a plane for 20 minutes.

Well there goes that tag team and it's too bad I actually enjoy watching Justin Gabriel

Razzamajazz 04-03-2012 04:31 AM

i'm extremely let down by having lesnar's return spoiled for me. the front page has always been garbage for stuff like that, but it was the forums that let me down.

still nice to see him back though

XL 04-03-2012 06:47 AM

I usually watch Raw from a site with direct links to the videos on DailyMotion or YouTube, that site was down so I had to go to YouTube itself. The asshole that uploaded the video actally called the segment RAW 4 2 12 Part 7 - Brock Lesnar Returns To F5 Cena.

Thanks.
