I hate John Lackey for very SammyG-esque reasons. So glad he signed with the Red Sox. Perfect "villain" fit for me

Nervous Ferret 08-29-2010 09:56 PM

He def smells too. Even when he isn't sweaty in uniform etc., just as a regular guy, he def smells

Apparently Kenny doesn't have enough problems dealing with Ozzie, so now he wants Manny too.

Anyone think Pujols is going to win the Triple Crown this year?

Innovator 08-30-2010 10:39 AM

How long until Girardi and Cashman install the Nova Rules....oh wait they only let him throw 75 pitches anyways.

Innovator 08-30-2010 10:40 AM

The guy throws some chin music to Bautista, who walks out with the bat, doesn't back down, then his curve gets sharper as the game goes on. I can't wait to see what he can do with 100-120 pitch count.

MANNYWOOD

Supreme Olajuwon 08-30-2010 08:23 PM

Aroldis Chapman got clocked by both the scout's radar and the stadium radar at 105 MPH. Come on now, that's just silly.

Evil Vito 08-30-2010 08:58 PM

Reds should really add Chapman to the roster today or tomorrow so he can be available for the playoffs (unless the Reds have a pitcher on the 60-day DL) that Chapman could replace

ClockShot 08-30-2010 09:02 PM

I would wait until next season for Chapman then give him the call. Give him all the time in the world to build up that arm strength.

Nationals rushed up Strasburg and look what happened.

Evil Vito 08-30-2010 09:16 PM

The difference is that the Reds are actually in contention and seem to be built for a hella good playoff run.

RP 08-30-2010 09:24 PM

Jesus this Cain kid just made an incredible catch

RP 08-30-2010 09:55 PM

LOL where has this Carlos Zambrano been? Not only is he still pitching great, but he just crushed a 2 run home run and stood at the plate staring at it. Thats how hard he crushed it. ROFL.

Coulda used this 2 months ago.

CJ Wilson is on fire right now for the Rangers

further proving that straight edge means I'm better than you

McLegend 08-30-2010 11:48 PM

Phillies looking for a not hitter being thrown against them.

The batting average is going to be the hardest for him to over take since he's 7 points behind.

Right now of the top 3 in the NL race, he has the most at-bats which makes every at-bat worth less than a Votto or Gonzalez at-bat. If anyone ties or gets a lead in HRs and RBIs, he will change his swing like most batters do when chasing the Triple Crown.

Aguakate 08-31-2010 12:11 AM

I hate Victorino.

Just broke up Kuroda's No Hitter, too.

Major League Baseball has a Cuban Missile Crisis

Quote:

CINCINNATI -- Cuban defector Aroldis Chapman is bringing his 105 mph fastball to the big leagues.

The Reds plan to call up the hard-throwing lefty before their game Tuesday night against the Milwaukee Brewers, trying to strengthen their bullpen for a playoff push in September and beyond.
Chapmania is running WILD

RP 08-31-2010 08:26 AM

If Aroldis Chapman was white, he'd be consider the best pitcher in baseball right now.

( And Buster Olney and Tim Kurchikan would be swimming in there own ejaculate while doing interviews about him )

But too bad he's from Cuba

Man Ozzie Guiellen nailed it really.

I don't think it was that he was rushed. From the way I see it it was more of Strasburg's delivery that made him end up where he is now.

Nervous Ferret 08-31-2010 10:33 AM

Chapman is going to be like Joba in '07. Joba :'(.

Joba was good in 2007. Now, if you got the Joba of 2010 then you have got something to worry about.

Droford 08-31-2010 01:24 PM

Os had the 3rd best record in baseball in August (16-11 with a game tonight) Twins are 16-10 and the Reds are 17-8.

Yay Buck Showalter!

If his name was, say, STEPHEN STRASBURG, everybody would be all over him, covering him and talking about how great he can be.

God the Mets suck. At least Francoeur appears to be on his way to Texas.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-31-2010 09:39 PM

Bautista #43

God fuck damn

Aguakate 08-31-2010 09:39 PM

It's not like the Mets haven't TRIED...They've signed some good players the last 5 years (Carlos Beltran, Carlos Delgado, Johan Santana, Francisco "K-Rod" Rodriguez"), and also struck gold with Jose Reyes and David Wright, yet for some reason it hasn't all come together...when they hit, they can't pitch...when they pitch, they can't hit...and when they pitch and hit, their defense lets 'em down.

If the Cubs for some reason end up hiring somebody else as Manager, the Mets should hire Ryne Sandberg.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-31-2010 10:01 PM

CHAPMAN'S WARMING UP

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG

Rockies get Manny Delcarmen from the Red Sox for Chris Balcom-Miller.

Innovator 09-01-2010 07:34 AM

You mean Selig can't push through that Manny Delcarmen for Adrian Gonzalez trade?

Supreme Olajuwon 09-01-2010 08:00 AM

Jose Bautista is currently on pace to hit 53 homeruns this year. If he does, he will be the first person in major league history to hit exactly 53. 6 have hit 52 and 6 have hit 54, but never 53. Interesting.

When I'm bored I look at baseball stats.

Innovator 09-01-2010 09:12 AM

Bautista is also testing at 53% HGH-blood level.

YOUR Hero 09-01-2010 09:52 AM

Bautista should take over the top spot for single season HRs by a Jay. I think it's 46 by Delgado

Innovator 09-01-2010 10:01 AM

He'll break that tomorrow.
