Rob 04-29-2006 01:09 PM

Curbs won't ever do any better than what he did at Charlton.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 01:13 PM

Maybe he's trying to strongarm the FA to hire him :$

Rob 04-29-2006 01:15 PM

My pap said the same thing. If they are that stupid then they deserve what they get.

Rob Ban Fan 04-29-2006 01:20 PM

Rob 04-29-2006 01:32 PM

You'd welcome him back too.

Rob Ban Fan 04-29-2006 01:36 PM

I would not. And Davis, Mendes and Gario are better than him.

If I could have any Scottish player I would have James McFadden.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 01:41 PM

Mikael Forssell's life must just be the utmost in suicidal misery right now.

Rob Ban Fan 04-29-2006 01:43 PM

I'd say Craig Gordon

Cactus Sid 04-29-2006 02:25 PM

I've just read that apparently Owen was in a quite a bit of discomfort after the game.

Could they both miss the World Cup?

Flair Wooo 04-29-2006 02:28 PM

Fuck sake :nono:

Now that would be funny!

It won't happen though.

I'd be uncomfortable having to look at thousands of crying Bluenoses as well.

Karlsberg 04-29-2006 03:37 PM

It might be more trouble than its worth to come on here right now but i just thought i would say congratulations to portsmouth.

Hopefully our stay in the fizzy pop league will only last one season

Cactus Sid 04-29-2006 04:58 PM

Rooney has a broken foot

They're all trying to say he'll be out for 6 weeks, but the last time he broke his foot, he was out for 3 months, Owen has been out for 4.

I don't think he'll be fit for the World Cup

Good luck to the Blues next season, Charlton might just pass you in the other direction :-\

Good luck to Curbs, you helped save us during our darkest time and you will be missed.

:'(

It feels like I've just split up with my girlfriend who I thought I'd be with for life.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:19 PM

FUCKING METATARSALS

FOR GOD'S SAKE

Rob 04-29-2006 06:17 PM

It's a shame for Rooney. I have zero symphathy for the English supporters though. He'd probably have scored 5 goals in the tournament and then missed a penalty or something and had the whole nation wanting his blood over nothing.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 06:28 PM

OR y'know, he could've helped us win. We'll never know.

Gonna be a campaign against the football boot makers, I'd be surprised if there isn't.

Team Sheep 04-29-2006 06:38 PM

Lineker just said Rooney will be out for 6 weeks, the exact amount of time until England's first game.

Same thing would have happened if he was bare foot.

And trust me, you aren't winning it. Even if he makes it.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 06:51 PM

The point about the boots is they're making them so lightweight there's no protection anymore. I assume you got that. But if you did the barefoot comment makes even less sense :wtf:

Hey if I wasn't English I'd be pissing myself laughing right now, so I can't blame ya. I'm kinda used to this sort of crap anyway with supporting who I do

Rob 04-29-2006 06:56 PM

Didn't get the lightweight thing. I wear lighter boots than ever now and don't feel less protected. I was saying I don't think it mattered what boots he was wearing. His foot just twisted.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 07:12 PM

His foot twisting wouldn't fracture his metatarsal, I'm pretty sure.

Rob 04-29-2006 07:17 PM

You seen it yet? You'll know what I mean. Not exactly a twist. More of a bend too forward of the top of the foot.

Boondock Saint 04-30-2006 03:35 AM

WE KICKED SOME ASS 2DAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. Well, yesterday. SUPER SHEFKI

CHarlton sucks, but too bad that dude lost his last game before going to manage England. Ah well.

toxic rooster 04-30-2006 04:25 AM

I broke a metatarsal when I accidentally kicked the post, foot was completely healed in 2 weeks, minus some swelling :o

Flair Wooo 04-30-2006 06:03 AM

What the fuck we have every chance of winning the dam thing! ...as long as some cunt knoxcks brazil out :D

Cactus Sid 04-30-2006 06:30 AM

Rooney's foot pretty much did bend when he did it, nothing to do with the boots. It was pretty nasty watching..... lovely jubbly.

Its simple enough, without Rooney, England cannot win the World Cup. Without Owen, England will struggle to make the Quarter Finals.

If its the same bone he broke last time (which I have reason to believe it is) then he is going to be out for 3 months, and he will miss the World Cup, if it takes 6 weeks to heal, then he is not gonna be able to be fit for the World Cup, and seriously, he might be Wayne Rooney, but It'll have the same effect on the team as when Beckham did his.

So if they are both out, what should England do?

My thought was playing Crouch alone up front with Gerrard just off him, bring Carrick into the midfield to play the holding role, and let Gerrard and Lampard burst onto balls laid off by Crouch, also allows Cole and Beckham to get crosses in for someone who could (in theory) get goals in the air.

Cactus Sid 04-30-2006 06:55 AM

Apparently Owen hasn't rebroken his foot.

He's still never gonna be fit for the World Cup, but he's gonna go.

Flair Wooo 04-30-2006 07:08 AM

Call up Robbie "God" Fowler :D
