<font color="#ff6600">In fairness, people who miss penalties for England at major tournaments never get it that badly really.
I mean, sure they get asked questions about it and it probably gets a bit boring for them after a while but theres never any kind of hate in it really. The only people who really suffered like that were Phil Neville and Beckham. And pretty much everyone agrees that the media went WAY over the top with the stuff about Beckham. If Rooney did scored 5 goals and then miss a crucial penalty, I am pretty sure the paper's the next day would be more like "ENGLAND PENALTY WOE FOR POOR ROON" and talking about the penalty jinx we have. As opposed to "STUPID FAT SCOUSE TWAT CAN'T SCORE FROM 12 YARDS - Free inside: Rooney dartboard."</font> |
I think you underestimate how fickle the British Media is

Ok, Ok, ENGLISH media
That's pretty pedantic when you know exactly what I meant, when everyone knows exactly which papers I'm talking about. |
Apparently Sven has said that if there is any chance Rooney will be fit for the 2nd round matches, he will be taken.
Just a matter of getting that far without him..... |
Rooney with a broken foot is still better than Crouch and Andy Johnson.
|
Ah well, at least we managed to piss on Norwich's last home game of the season. Take that you bunch of fucking inbreds

Materazzi with a thumping own goal. World class.

England midfielder Steven Gerrard fears it will be 'impossible to have a successful World Cup without Wayne Rooney' after the Manchester United striker fractured his foot. The Liverpool captain is concerned Rooney could now suffer the same World Cup injury horror he himself experienced four years ago. --- With former Reds striker Michael Owen also complaining of discomfort yesterday after his first run-out for more than four months after also fracturing a metatarsal, England's options up front could be severely compromised. 'I do not want to talk about the situation over what alternatives there are and what chance it gives to other people to play,' said Gerrard. 'Let's just keep our fingers crossed that Wayne does go to the World Cup. 'If it is not to be, obviously it is an opportunity for other players - Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe and Darren Bent - but I would much prefer to have a fit Wayne Rooney in the starting XI.' ------------------------------------ Well, that sucks for England. Think I'll still be rooting for them though. |
Eh, last report was there was nothing out of the ordinary about Owen being in discomfort and it should fade with time.
All depends on whether they want to rush Rooney back now. |
Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock believes his side will prosper in the Barclays Premiership next season.
The Blades are already being tipped for an immediate return to the Coca-Cola Championship but Warnock has other ideas. The Bramall Lane boss feels there are huge grounds for optimism as the club prepare to return to the top flight after a 12-year exile. "I went to the Liverpool v Aston Villa game on Saturday and I came away thinking that we will score goals in the Premiership," said Warnock. "I watched Steven Gerrard and when he got the ball I said out loud 'he's not going to shoot from there!', and the next second it's in the back of the net." He added: "You wouldn't think Gerrard is a multi-millionaire who can go to any club because he's so level-headed. "And that's what this lot are. Phil Jagielka, Michael Tonge and Nick Montgomery; I know all their parents and it's like a family, which makes it even more satisfying. "In the Premiership you get a little bit more time and we've got the legs and lungs for it. "I think Danny Webber and Michael Tonge will be two players who everyone will be talking about. "It's been Jagielka this year but I think people will be surprised with Webber and Tonge. "And I don't think the defenders in the Premiership will be able to cope with Ade Akinbiyi." ------ So Gerrard being able to score from 25 yards and not being a twat means Sheff Utd will stay up and Ade Akinbiyi will score goals. Despite the fact he was a miserable failure last time. I believe we have a new candidate for fewest Premiership points in a season everyone. |

I bet even Akinbiyi is thinking "why oh why did you say that"

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!! :D Funny shit! :D
|
Something just as funny for me, United just got linked with Kevin Nolan and Nigel Reo-Coker.
|
Only they would fit right into your team :D
|
<font color="#ff6600">Sheffield United will be shit unless they make a lot of signings.
David Unsworth will get raped by EVERY right winger in the premiership, i don't care who they are, if they only have one leg or whatever, he will get absolutely done by them. He is fat, slow and turns like an oil tanker. I remember when he got done by Robbie Fowler while playing for us. Robbie fucking Fowler for God's sake.</font> |
Robbie Fowler is God!

Funny thing is I doubt they will have much money since Warnock insists on spending millions on strikers year after year. I just pray he gets told he has no money to spend, his head will explode, tremendous.

David Unsworth deserves to be raped the rediculous wanker

<font color="#ff6600">Over the course of his career, Ade Akinbiyi has commanded £15m in transfer fees. </font>
|
<font color="#ff6600"> I have always though Garth Crooks was a bit of a twat, until i went to check the BBC team of the week and I saw THIS
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/shared/...ml/ss_team.stm What a fucking legend :D:D </font> |
Sheffield United just need a few defenders and maybe a new forward or two, but Warnock will buy like 5 anyway so that's no problem.
Even if they don't invest then they'll beat Sunderland's points tally. |
Shut up and start hating Wengerland
|
I can't hate myself, i've been quite chuffed with myself over the past few weeks :'(
I don't dislike Sheffield United and although i hate Warnock, i really can't see them being that bad :$ |

I'm a Liverpool fan, and have been far more optimistic this season than last (where I will readily admit I was a pessimistic asshole) but, we aren't gonna finish second.

<font color="#ff6600">We will beat Liverpool at Fortress Fratton anyway. Benjani is on form and will no doubt net a hat trick, plus D'Alessandro will want to sign off with 4 or 5 for his swan song. 7-0 blues  </font>
