Rampage

showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-friday-12-10-2021-top-150-cable-originals-network-finals.html

Did 503,000 viewers and a 0.18 demo, coming in at #13 for the night.

Horrible ratings for Rampage once again.

Mr. Nerfect 12-14-2021 03:20 AM

Trash show gets trash ratings. They got over 1 million just a few months ago. Imagine the laughing stock WWE would be if this happened to one of their shows at this rate.

Mr. Nerfect 12-21-2021 03:23 PM

AEW is about to get to over 1 million viewers again. The hockey has been postponed, which means AEW will get those West Coast viewers back!

slik 12-21-2021 04:34 PM

1.55 million for RAW

Mr. Nerfect 12-21-2021 04:34 PM

When AEW goes to TBS it has to do better than The Big Bang Theory, right? On 1 July 2020, BBT got an average of 1.68 million viewers on Wednesday night at 8-10.30pm. They also got an average of 0.43 in the key demo. The episodes got #1, #3, #4, #5 and #7 in the demo.

So what are we thinking about Dynamite when it goes? 2 million and a 0.6? It’s almost definitely got to beat Raw, because BBT currently is, and there’s no way Warner would replace that programming with something that is going to do worse.

#1-norm-fan 12-21-2021 05:44 PM

1 July 2020 lol

#1-norm-fan 12-21-2021 05:49 PM

If only the people at WarnerMedia had a genius like Noid at the helm they could have avoided this mistake.

Well... NHL has replaced AEW which draw much lower ratings as far as I know. It's Warner Media practice to shut down their biggest draws, they did it with WCW, AEW, NHL and now BBT.

To be fair, NHL probably reaches a lot more people over the course of a season and generates more advertising revenue, but I think you’re right. WarnerMedia just hates money.

Still, as a massive AEW fan, it gives you pause. Could AEW’s quality and success be what ultimately destroys it?

XL 12-22-2021 03:29 PM

Noid, why did you pick that date for comparison?

It was the most readily available one. A Google search for “Big Bang Theory tbs ratings” turns it up. If it’s an outlier, sorry for sharing data from that, but I can’t think of a reason why it would be.

Besides, the point is to prop up AEW anyway. Surely when they move they are going to get bigger ratings than reruns of a comedy show.

Good thing Vince blew it up to attract younger viewers

Ruien 12-22-2021 10:14 PM

Wonder how Big Bang Theory does head to head against Young Sheldon.

I don't think AEW is destined for destruction just yet. Yeah I could see that happening but it's not fortold.

Damian Rey 2.0 12-23-2021 12:25 PM

It’s amazing that noid is trying to weave some narrative that doesn’t exist. Warner game AEW an extra hour on Fridays, a raise to move stations, and agreed to have give the promotion multiple TV specials. But yes let’s take pause and ponder if AEW is destroying itself.

I’m just worried because Warner cancels massive successes. Maybe the last thing we want is for AEW to grow? If it does, it could end up like WCW or The Big Bang Theory. :-\

Oh shit. What if AEW gets so successful they decide to put it on Mondays? Surely AEW would stomp Raw out in the ratings?

slik 12-23-2021 04:06 PM

Dynamite back over a million

1.02 million

TNARICK1 12-23-2021 04:17 PM

Vince Russo's WCW 2000 was drawing over 3 million viewers and that was with short 3 month stints.

I predict AEW never hits a million again (They move to TBS this week right?)

Most of AEW's viewers are just people who fall asleep at the tv.

The downfall begins now.

The number of anti-AEW overreactions have definitely surpassed the very AEW overreactions they rail against tenfold at this point.

Pop the bottles boys, AEW IS BACK ON TOP. SUCK IT NOID AND VINCE AND GEDO

Mr. Nerfect 12-23-2021 09:19 PM

Raw is going down, bitches!!! Over 1 million?!? Read that again: 1 million viewers for Dynamite! Read it and weep, Vince. Change is coming.

#1-norm-fan 12-23-2021 10:14 PM

“Over-the-top gimmick” is Noid’s go-to when he gets EXTRA nervous.

First it’s creating his own arguments. Then it’s awkward personality mirroring. Then it’s this. You can read him like a book. Lol

Look, okay — this is pretty funny — but I think we should focus on the positives of the situation. No other promotion since TNA Wrestling has gotten over 1 million viewers. Think about what an achievement that is.

Vince has got to be shitting himself. This is without the West Coast and they haven’t even gone to TBS yet. That’s when you can expect things to REALLY click into gear.

Mr. Nerfect 12-24-2021 12:23 AM

Oh wait, I think it was with the West Coast. But still! 1 million people watching wrestling that isn’t produced by that rotten Vince McMahon. He’s so stupid, lol.

TNARICK1 12-24-2021 03:46 AM

That was WITH the West Coast?

Ya AEW is fucked once they hit TBS.

They have 90% of the IWC's Indy Darlings/Favs of the last decade and wonder why they can't appeal and grow to a larger audience. They are booking towards a niche audience who enjoy Indy wrestling. They are going to run out of fresh match ups where even that niche audience is going to get bored and move onto the next Indy Fad. There was ROH, Chikara, Lucha Underground. They all moved on just like they will from AEW.

Both AEW or WWE will continue to decline in the next 5 years. They are more likely to shut down completely.

Jordan 12-24-2021 09:21 AM

Damn Rick, do you think wrestling is... dying?

Damian Rey 2.0 12-24-2021 10:36 AM

I’m curious where it was reported that AEW is concerned about not growing their audience. *Warner doesn’t seem to be concerned.

Tony Khan is literally banging his head against a wall right now wondering why CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are not growing his ratings.

Tony Khan doesn't really care about the ratings, he is just happy his dad is paying people to tell him he is cool and a good booker.

TNARICK1 12-24-2021 02:28 PM

I wish I could get 5 minutes with Tony Khan inside the octagon. I would beat the shit out of his nerd ass.

Mr. Nerfect 12-24-2021 06:30 PM

WWE has the resources to stay around forever. I worry about a grassroots production like AEW though. Mr. Tony Khan has built something truly amazing based off the back of being a true wrestling fan/academic. It wouldn’t be just if it was whisked away by WarnerMedia because they don’t “get” it.

Christmas Eve SD - 1.97 million

Christmas Day Rampage - 589k

TNARICK1 12-28-2021 04:17 PM

Next week Rampage will hit record low. They were lucky everyone was off work for Christmas this week.
