I've heard that the new character will be shown at Whatever the next event his. Comicon or some PAX thing. Anyone know if that's true/false?

The 6 new stages are all from SFxT. They are:
Half Pipe Cosmic Elevator Mad Gear Hideout Jurassic Era Research Facility Blast Furnace Pitstop 109 This really does seem like it's turning out to be pure copy/paste. |
I'm excited for this update, don't get me wrong. But it'd be nice if they could do something other than just port over SFXT elements.

The characters coming from xTekken will play differently to fit in SF4's specific core engine. There will not be Gems or Pandora - Pandora the power-up dependent on a team set-up. And no, I doubt tag will make it in. Just... don't be that kind of guy that jumps the gun with wild speculation. |
I didn't really think Pandora would be in. Colour editor, though. I could see it. With the disc including all the outfits, they may as well let us change colours. It would be an improvement if we had a colour wheel rather than preset colours, No Mercy style.
Then again, everyone will either dress everyone in black anyway or make all the girls nude. |

Been thinking about dusting off the ol' Street Fighter and re-gearing my game for whenever the next big TPWW tourney comes around...guess i'll do it now.
Was happy with my progress in the last tourney considering it was the first time i've ever really delved into competitive fighting and actually learning mechanics and move sets. |

Well USF4 will be out well after GTAV so that shouldn't be an issue. We didn't have an Arcade Edition tourny as many of us moved on, so it would be cool to have one for this game.

I'm thinking a February/March release for USFIV.
That's actually the good thing about skipping AE. When I buy Ultra, I'll be getting the update from both Ultra and AE at the same time, so I'll have 9 new characters instead of Ultras 5. I'll also be getting all the DLC outfits and whatever else I skipped on AE and whatever is added to Ultra. So it's a bargain, for me. |

Could be a swerve. Final Fight and Slam masters are considered to be in the same universe as street fighter.

They were never in a fighting game so that rules out Haggar. Other FF guys are possible.

Ultra on PC is ditching GFWL and going with Steamworks. Should also come out at the same time as consoles and if there's any patches, they'll be free and not have to be certified, so should finally get them in a timely manner too.

I am always upset about how bad I have been at Street Fighter. A lack of human opponents over the years probably accounts for that. If I collect myself, get this new edition and apply myself methodically like I did to improve in CoD and saw dramatic results, I can do it.

Play as Ryu or Ken, it works for everybody else ;).

I got pretty comfortable with Chun Li, but I would lose my head too easily and not have a good enough strategy if they started pushing back.
