I'm a Titans fan who picked Green Bay in the TPWW Pick Them league, but I thought the Cowboys got robbed. That was a bullshit call.

#1-norm-fan 01-11-2015 04:41 PM

Realistically I figured Green Bay would win the game just because the defense has overachieved all year and Rodgers expose them all day. For it to end like that is just ridiculous though.

Crimson 01-11-2015 04:58 PM

That's a catch ,bottom line. Rule needs to change. Great season though, hopefully we can plug some holes on defense.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-11-2015 05:04 PM

The rule is not going to change. It's not a bad rule. You have to maintain ball possession. They've put it up for review a couple of times and it never goes anywhere.

OssMan 01-11-2015 05:12 PM

The rule would change if that game was in Dallas

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-11-2015 05:14 PM

maybe if it was Aikman's cowboys in the 1990s

#1-norm-fan 01-11-2015 05:15 PM

No, it's an awful rule. It's always been an awful rule. Mike Pereira, while discussing why it was the right call after the game even acknowledged it's a bad rule. If the guy catches the football, gets his feet down and "makes a football move", the question of whether it's a catch or not should be over. If he loses the ball after that should be a fumble. It shouldn't retroactively take the catch away. It's retarded.

#1-norm-fan 01-11-2015 05:19 PM

Then again, Mike Pereira also said "He had control but not possession" so I'm not sure he's not just trying to fuck with us.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-11-2015 05:20 PM

AKA no football move.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-11-2015 05:27 PM

Yeahhhhhhhhhhh

#1-norm-fan 01-11-2015 05:29 PM

The football move wasn't a factor. He said "forget the steps" when it was brought up that Dez had control of the football and was taking steps. The problem was when he went to the ground and the ball came out. Which is fucking retarded. You shouldn't "forget the steps". Like I said, once a receiver has possession, it shouldn't be able to be retroactively taken away.

Nark Order 01-11-2015 05:30 PM

Naw. Horrible rule. Hate the Cowboys but all logic says that it's a catch. Have always hated that rule.

road doggy dogg 01-11-2015 05:48 PM

I have so many feelings about this

#1-norm-fan 01-11-2015 05:52 PM

It makes it worse that earlier in the game, this...

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B7GTLZwCMAA_Uog.jpg

was reviewed and called a catch.

I'd like to hear the rule that made that one good.

road doggy dogg 01-11-2015 06:02 PM

Well as a Lions fan I'm SO glad to see the Cowboys season end pretty much the same way ours did. Suck it, Cowboys. Also, the "completing the process", yeah we're pretty familiar with that.

On the other hand, I can't enjoy watching a product that is so heavily influenced by horrible officiating. It makes the product as a whole less credible and garbage

Emperor Smeat 01-11-2015 06:06 PM

Would bet that rule gets dropped or overhauled before next season since the NFL pays attention more when stuff like that happens in the playoffs or to big market/name teams. Tuck rule was the same issue for years before the NFL finally dropped it.

Apparently the ref who called the Dez Bryant no catch was the same ref for the original Calvin Johnson rule game.

Peyton better sharpen up in the 2nd half. First series was great, it all went downhill after that. Need to stick with the short to medium passes.

Side note. C.J. Anderson is a monster. Wondering if Montee Ball's job is in jeopardy with his performance these last few weeks.

Ruien 01-11-2015 06:17 PM

Bullshit. Was suppose to be the Cowboys and Colts time. Luck better shut Denver down tonight.

Ruien 01-11-2015 06:18 PM

I will be shocked if Ball is the starter next year.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-11-2015 06:26 PM

Finally somebody pushes somebody out.

McLegend 01-11-2015 06:33 PM

This Andrew Luck guy is pretty good.

Not so fast.

Droford 01-11-2015 06:50 PM

He has 69 yards passing 1/2 through the 3rd quarter

Also Colts ball

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-11-2015 06:50 PM

Wow.

Emperor Smeat 01-11-2015 06:51 PM

Colts were lucky their potential blunder was overturned.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-11-2015 06:52 PM

That blocker was like a mile ahead of the runner.

Cribbs doesn't like calling Fair Catches I guess. Still wouldn't matter he was pushed into him by the defender. Not a penalty anyways even with the FC.

Droford 01-11-2015 07:01 PM

Mannings gonna have a farewell tour next year but his arm had its farewell already.

Droford 01-11-2015 07:04 PM

CJ Anderson : Peyton Manning Terrel Davis : John Elway

#1-norm-fan 01-11-2015 07:13 PM

Droford, you really should stop talking. This has not been your year for saying things that won't get quoted and used to mock you with later.

Droford 01-11-2015 07:14 PM

Colts are morons passing all downs up 8 in the 4th

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-11-2015 07:27 PM

Harder to drive down the field with runs. They got what they wanted with the 3 points and the time off the clock.

I was refering to the drive before right after the brocos got their fg when they had 3 incomplete passes and took no time off the clock

CJ anderson almost bails out Manning on 4th down and thats the ballgame

Another one and done

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-11-2015 07:36 PM

Spot Challenge. I thought he had it originally.

Nark Order 01-11-2015 07:36 PM

Another famous Peyton Manning playoff choke.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-11-2015 07:38 PM

Broncos choke. Not all on the QB.

Droford 01-11-2015 07:39 PM

Mannings secretly looking at the script for his next Papa Johns commercial

Crimson 01-11-2015 07:40 PM

Can't see how its not Pats/Hawks in the Bowl.

Droford 01-11-2015 07:41 PM
