If Danny Granger doesnt make the All Star game, i'll quit watching sports.

SammyG 01-27-2009 09:13 PM

lol Pacers

Juan 01-27-2009 09:46 PM

I agree with Reggie Miller that guys on teams with losing records should not be in the All-Star game.

SammyG 01-27-2009 10:46 PM

Playing the Bobcats. They have beaten us 4 outta the last 5 times. Not taking shit for granted.

Juan 01-27-2009 10:48 PM

Shit, gotta find a stream for this...

Splaya 01-28-2009 11:39 AM

You guys can blame that one on Kobe

SammyG 01-28-2009 07:07 PM

no, i can blame it on Lamar Odom being an idiot and not defending Diaw, on 2 huge threes he hit. Watch the film, it's ridiculous. Lamar O-Dumb.

Also, he probably didnt need to defend Frenchie anyways...Horrid 3 point shooter. Why he took 7 3s I will never know.

SammyG 01-29-2009 06:33 PM

Pau named to All-Star team!! PAUUU SHOWWW

RP 01-29-2009 06:34 PM

NO way Pau Gasol or David West should have gotten in over Al Jefferson. Especially Pau Gasol though. Thats criminal.

SammyG 01-29-2009 06:37 PM

How the hell can you say Pau does not deserve to be an All-Star? Explain to me. Please.

DaveWadding 01-29-2009 06:46 PM

Reserves:

SHAQ DIESEL
Pau Gasol
David West
Dirk Nowitzki
Tony Parker
Chauncey Billups
Brandon Roy

Jameer Nelson
Rashard Lewis
Paul Pierce
Joe Johnson
Chris Bosh
Devin Harris
Danny Granger

No Drunken Master is pretty shitty.

Pretty simple. Jeffersons stats are way better and he's on a team where the second best player is Randy Foye. Gasols stats are not better and he's got Kobe Bryant. So its not like he's seeing tons of double teams like Jefferson.

Gasol is a overrated peice of junk i'm sorry. He just is. Troy Murphy is better then him. If the Lakers had Murphy hitting two 3's a night and pulling 11 rebounds a game, with Bynum in the middle, they might not lose a game.

RP 01-29-2009 07:05 PM

Yah thats right. I said it. Murphy is better then Gasol.

IC Champion 01-29-2009 07:15 PM

OHHH, he called Gasol out.

RP 01-29-2009 07:20 PM

PAOLLLLLLLLLLLLLI GASOL IS A FRAUD!!!! BOOO THIS MAN!

Juan 01-29-2009 08:32 PM

Except Al Jefferson fails at making his team better.

Juan 01-30-2009 12:04 AM

As does Danny Granger. *no offense*

SammyG 01-30-2009 02:09 AM

lol @ RP. This does not warrant an answer.

No offence, but you're certifiably retarded if you actually think that. Granger has hit more big shots in crunch time this year alone then Kobe has in the last 3 years. You may wanna get your info straightend out before you continue to post about this subject. k? Bye

Juan 01-30-2009 02:59 AM

Well that's great, but I'm talking about this season. :D

Come on now, Kobe has made more clutch shots in the last year than games Indiana has won this season, let's be serious.

Juan 01-31-2009 01:18 AM

Those are just from this month by the way.

Juan 01-31-2009 01:27 AM

Anyway, my point was that Granger should not be in the All-Star game because he's on a losing team and even though he has some good stats, he fails at making his team better.

On the other hand, Pau Gasol has been the most efficient player on the best team from the Western Conference. He also leads in best FG% for PF's and in assists for all bigs. So he DOES deserve to be in the All-Star game.

RP 01-31-2009 01:48 AM

Yah.. Only every NBA beat writer and coach disagree with you. But you're obviously the expert so if you say so then you must be right and they must all be wrong.

Jesus Christ you're so stupid. I cant click this thread off because you're such a train wreck.

Yeah I know, it's just my opinion. No need to get all worked up man.

RP 01-31-2009 02:14 AM

Yes

An opinion you made with no information and no clue what so ever. You may as well be saying all black people are dumb, or all white people are rich. Maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself until you do some more research and get half a clue of what the fuck you're talking about.

Juan 01-31-2009 02:20 AM

What? I looked at the standings and saw that the Pacers are almost 20 games behind first place with a record of 19-28. What other information do I need? Granger is on a losing team and *in my opinion* guys on losing teams should not play in All-Star games.

Juan 01-31-2009 02:28 AM

And yes, even if the Lakers had a losing record, I wouldn't want Kobe in the All-Star game.

Emeka Okafu
Paul Milsap
David Lee

All these guys are putting up same numbers as Gasol with BETTER FG %. I didnt even mention Shaq either whos numbers are better. The one thing these guys have in common? They dont have Kobe Bryant on there team. If Gasol was putting up the numbers he is right now and he was still in Memphis, he wouldnt even be considered for an All-Star spot. Thats a fact. He clearly benefits from playing on the Lakers and playing with Kobe Bryant.

And he's not the most efficient player on the Lakers. Bynum is. He's giving the Lakers the same amount of rebounds, 3 less ppg, 1 more block and a better field goal percentage in 6 less minutes per game then Gasol.

I dont even watch the Lakers and i'm breaking down YOUR favorite team for you. Good lord.

Maybe when i wake in the morning, i'll break down Danny Granger for you and make you look like an even bigger dumb ass. Fun times.

You can break him down all you want, but that wont change the fact that he's on a losing team. Which was my point to begin with.

As for Bynum, he had the best week of his career last week, so that would explain the spike in his numbers.

PS. NBA.com is a great tool for stats, I'm glad you were able to find it useful :y:

Juan 01-31-2009 02:58 AM

I'll give you this though, those Gasol stats I posted earlier are from an old post of mine from like 2 or 3 weeks ago. I didn't take into account the fact that he hasn't been playing all that great over the past few weeks. :$

Icess 01-31-2009 07:27 AM

Yi Jianlian got 450,000 votes, pretty sure he's the best forward in the league. Seriously, this is an asinine argument. RP, while you make solid points, to imply that Gasol is not in the All-Star convo is ridiculous. Granger is amazing but he is on a below average team, thus inflating his numbers. Kobe's numbers have been over-inflated for years when he was on a terrible team. Now, when he's surrounded by talent, everyone questions if he's still "the best" because his numbers have suffered.

Gasol is an European player, it's great that people call him soft, but that's how he was taught. When you're trained to be a banger, you become a banger. Howard was trained for years to own that paint and crush the rim. When trained to be a shooter, shocker... You're a fucking shooter. You play players that take shots in Europe, and when you're in the forward/center position, you don't press, you make/let them take the shot. He's really no different then Dirk (obviously Dirk is a little better, but we wanted Dirk a while back because that type of player fits our scheme).

The bottom line is Gasol is on the best team in the West with a huge market. Fan voting is retarded, but that doesn't take away from his talent. He is on a loaded team, with great depth on the bench, his numbers are gonna go back and forth.

SammyG 01-31-2009 09:58 PM

Bynum goes down again. This is unbelievable. 2 years in a row. Against the Same team.

Juan 01-31-2009 10:53 PM

Apparently the x-rays came back negative. Now just gotta wait on MRI results. Fuck man, this sucks.

SammyG 02-02-2009 03:13 PM

8-12 weeks. Torn MCL. Goodbye championship. Fuck you, gods of basketball.

IC Champion 02-02-2009 03:20 PM

He'll be back in time for the playoffs.

SammyG 02-02-2009 03:45 PM

No he won't. They tried feeding us the same shit last year. He will not be back

Juan 02-02-2009 03:51 PM

Treatment of a medial collateral ligament injury rarely requires surgical intervention. Almost always, some simple treatment steps, along with rehabilitation, will allow patients to resume their previous level of activity.

SammyG 02-02-2009 05:18 PM

Juan. He is done dude.

Juan 02-02-2009 05:21 PM

I don't think so. This isn't the same kind of injury as last year. He doesn't need surgery.

Gotta stay positive, Sammy.

SammyG 02-02-2009 05:23 PM

They said he didn't need surgery last year, too, remember? Then he got it like on May 21st or some shit. They are feeding us the same bullshit as they did last year.

Juan 02-02-2009 05:29 PM

*We'll see*

Juan 02-02-2009 10:59 PM

Kobe drops 61 points on the Knicks and sets a new MSG record :)

McLegend 02-02-2009 11:00 PM

The Wolf is coming back.

McLegend 02-02-2009 11:00 PM

Does suck about Bynum though.

Juan 02-02-2009 11:06 PM

Don't remind me :|

SammyG 02-03-2009 01:04 AM

lol MAMBA SHOW

McLegend 02-03-2009 09:37 PM

Son of a bitch

McLegend 02-03-2009 09:39 PM

I knew they were going to loose by a last second Ray Allen shot.

McLegend 02-04-2009 09:50 PM

Apparently Lebron has 48 going into the 4th at the Garden.

SammyG 02-04-2009 09:59 PM

Meh, won't top MAMBA

SammyG 02-04-2009 09:59 PM

Lakers-Celtics tommorrow in Boston, without Bynum... Yay.

Juan 02-04-2009 10:00 PM

Lebron "Leboring" James and the Cleveland Lebrons.

McLegend 02-04-2009 10:08 PM

He scored 52 but got a triple double in the process.

SammyG 02-04-2009 10:17 PM

God, Bron is so amazing. I respect the hell out of him.

Juan 02-04-2009 10:21 PM

Dammit Sammy.

ClockShot 02-04-2009 10:24 PM

"Wait 2 more years."

My time as a Knicks fan is running out.

McLegend 02-04-2009 10:25 PM

The not liking Lebron I get. I have No problem with that, but if you like basketball how can you find him boring?

McLegend 02-04-2009 10:25 PM

He's a force of nature

Juan 02-04-2009 10:26 PM

I guess Lebron isn't all that bad, I do think he's a tad overrated though. Plus the way ESPN is all over his nuts is ridiculous.

McLegend 02-04-2009 10:29 PM

He's not overrated though. He plays defense really hard now. His free throws has improved. His jump shot has improved. Mind you hes still a terrible 3 point shooter.

He's built like Karl Malone, and plays like Michael Jordan.

And he's only 24.

Juan 02-04-2009 10:31 PM

You lost me at "plays like Michael Jordan"

McLegend 02-04-2009 10:36 PM

You misunderstand.

Juan 02-04-2009 10:36 PM

Well regardless, I'm just not a big Lebron fan. What can I say?

McLegend 02-04-2009 10:37 PM

That's fine, but my point is he's not boring.

SammyG 02-04-2009 10:38 PM

Nah, Juan, I understand we have the best basketball player in the world in Kobe Bryant on our team. That does not mean I can't give credit where credit is due. LeBron James is amazing, and is the NBA's future, along with Dwight Howard and Chris Paul.

Juan 02-04-2009 10:40 PM

You're right Sammy, he is the future, but I just can't really stand the guy.

McLegend 02-04-2009 10:41 PM

And anyway Lebron could conceiveably be better then Michael Jordan.

He's not right now, but he can be since he's only 24.

Juan 02-04-2009 10:42 PM

I'm not saying he's a bad player, he just doesn't do it for me, you know? Has nothing to do with Kobe really.

Jeritron 02-05-2009 07:01 PM

Rondo.

Juan 02-05-2009 07:09 PM

can lick my nuts

Juan 02-05-2009 07:10 PM

Oh come on, don't act like Laker fans haven't been down on their team in hard times. Remember trade Kobe? Sammy does.

Those people don't account for everyone. Plus, at the time the Celts were doing horrible. Ainge and Doc saved their jobs.

Jeritron 02-05-2009 07:21 PM

Sammy, if Celts and Lakers make the finals again, are we going to bring back the avatar bet?

The Lakers really only had 2 bad seasons post-Shaq, and I was never too panicked about it. I've never turned my back on PJ, Kupchak or Kobe.

McLegend 02-05-2009 09:55 PM

I love how everyone is jumping on Lamar Odom right now.

Like what does everyone expect he's Lamr Odom. He's not going to be able to carry any load. He just can't do it.

Juan 02-05-2009 10:24 PM

Man, I have a bad feeling about this.

Krimzon7 02-05-2009 10:50 PM

Before Jameer Nelson went down, I did't see Boston beating them in the Playoffs. I thought it could be Orlando and Cleveland in the Easter Finals. I think Atlanta can get their shit together and push the Celts. They will have too many people gunning to out the champs to save enough in their tanks for a dance with Cleveland.

Krimzon7 02-05-2009 10:51 PM

And The Lakers simply won't be denied. Kobie is lusting after a ring to tie Shaqtus.

Triple Naitch 02-05-2009 10:54 PM

Oh shit. OT

Juan 02-05-2009 10:55 PM
