celtics were missing key player that the only reason they made it to 7 games

plus the bulls should not have even been in the playoffs they should thank the weak eastern confrence

SammyG 01-05-2010 06:00 PM

Dunno, those two are pretty close.

Gasol out about 5-6 games :( Ron Ron back today though

Emperor Smeat 01-05-2010 06:07 PM

Celtics v Lakers in 2008 NBA Finals probably had the best setup of any series in the 1st decade mostly because of massive hype, team histories, biggest NBA rivarly, and a retro feeling from when those 2 teams played each other in the 1980s.

Mavs vs Warriors sort of lacked the "David-Goliath" feeling because most analysts predicted the upset from how "weak" the Mavs felt as the top team in the West.

SammyG 01-05-2010 06:09 PM

I dunno man, that Celts-Bulls series was absolutely insane.

Emperor Smeat 01-05-2010 06:15 PM

Biggest disappoint is easily the Cavs-Spurs in how NBA hyped the series and besides the 1st game, Spurs dominated with the sweep.

RP 01-05-2010 06:45 PM

ok Indiana. Please dont do one of your ' Come out and play really hard and upset a top contending team for the hell of it ' moves tonight. Just take the loss and go home. Think John Wall.

Johnnnnnnn Walllllllllllllllll

McLegend 01-05-2010 08:34 PM

Man this Wizards team is really bad. They can easily win the lottery.

Reallly want Gilbert Arenas to go away so they can go on a win streak.

McLegend 01-05-2010 09:23 PM

And the Sixers lose to that terrible Wizards team.

I love it.

RP 01-05-2010 09:38 PM

FUCK YOU INDIANA!

SammyG 01-05-2010 10:10 PM

LOL RP! But seriously, Indiana can make the playoffs in the East.

Champion of Europa 01-05-2010 11:35 PM

PAAAAAAACEEEEEEEEE SHOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Was seriously so psyched about tonight's win. Hibbert played like a beast. One of my favorite players in the NBA. Just an exciting big man.

Joy of Roy.

Brujesino 01-05-2010 11:44 PM

how stupid are you to foul somone 30 feet away on a last second shot!!!

monta you lost us the damn game!!! he shot a airball but you still ran at him:mad:

DaveWadding 01-06-2010 12:39 AM

Damn. fuckin Kings are feisty.

Juan 01-06-2010 12:43 AM

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate Luis Scola? :o

I just saw the highlight of the play. Brutal

SammyG 01-06-2010 03:34 AM

Was watching the Denver game on a seperate stream. fucking idiot warriors.

LO was huge today. 1 assist away from a triple double. Massive game, 17 points, 19 boards, 9 dimes

Hanso Amore 01-06-2010 05:43 PM

Bye Bye Arenas!

I feel bad for Washington. Lock him down for 7 years that kill any cap space you have, and he never fucking plays.

McLegend 01-06-2010 05:47 PM

Now they can void his contract. So that's good.

Buzzkill 01-06-2010 10:45 PM

Only if he is charged with a felony I believe

McLegend 01-06-2010 10:50 PM

Yeah it's going to be really hard, but they might try even if he isn't charged.

Juan 01-07-2010 12:46 AM

Fuck. We better not lose to the god damned Clippers.

Juan 01-07-2010 12:57 AM

It's over

SammyG 01-07-2010 12:58 AM

we just lost to the Clippers.

Juan 01-07-2010 01:08 AM

Gonna get drunk now to forget about this loss.

WTF was Phil Jackson thinking sitting Kobe for so long in the fourth??

Juan 01-07-2010 01:11 AM

Phil got outsmarted by MIKE DUNLEAVY

SammyG 01-07-2010 05:54 AM

Yeah, retarded coaching by Phil. Oh well. Still the best record in the league.

Londoner 01-07-2010 12:42 PM

Just been watching the replay of the lakers game, hahaha. More games like that, please!

McLegend 01-07-2010 01:13 PM

I must say about Kobe that he does handle himself in interviews and the public much better then he use to. He's still not funny, but he has more of a sense of humor then Donovan McNabb. So I give him credit for that.

He is still a bitch for being a Mets and Eagles fans though.

Just pick a fuckin city Asshole.

Brujesino 01-07-2010 04:34 PM

this is why the lakers need pau gasol he is the key to winning a title again and my favorite player on that team

that being said i hope hes out for the year

Jesus Shuttlesworth 01-08-2010 01:26 AM

That was the most ridiculous tip I've ever seen. How the hell do the Celtics pull that off with that little time left? Miami also blew it big time but not defending the inbounder.

McLegend 01-08-2010 09:37 PM

It's seriously unreal how the Sixers just collapse in every game.

Number 1 pick is possible. Iverson has been a good pickup from a basketball perspective. He's probably been the team's best player.

Juan 01-09-2010 04:39 AM

The Rose Garden curse continues

SammyG 01-09-2010 07:40 AM

Fucking stupid, I know

Juan 01-09-2010 07:44 AM

I'm not one to ever say the refs have their hand in the game, but the discrepancy between Lakers' 5 FTs and Blazers' 32 FTs was the greatest the NBA since March 14, 2006. come on

i'm not gonna lie though, it didn't help that the Lakers played like crap.

McLegend 01-10-2010 01:25 PM

Kevin Duarnt is so good.

I'm so glad the Sixers traded for Andre Miller which enabled them to get Thaddeus Young.

SammyG 01-10-2010 05:51 PM

Tonight... the possible return of.. LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKE Walton

SammyG 01-10-2010 10:47 PM

Kobe 1-14 in the first half.

SammyG 01-11-2010 12:03 AM

I love Shannon Brown. I don't care how good Farmar did, I want him gone.

SammyG 01-11-2010 03:49 PM

Bynum for Bosh rumors..

Buzzkill 01-11-2010 05:52 PM

I will jump off a bridge of Bosh goes to the Lakers

McLegend 01-11-2010 06:50 PM

It'd be extremely gay.

McLegend 01-11-2010 10:16 PM

That was a bad Sixers win tonight.

Champion of Europa 01-11-2010 11:59 PM

Oh man, that was a good win vs. Toronto tonight. It was insane to be at live. It was such a close game and the crowd was so into it. Granger is back in full force. I'm so pumped.

Really confused about not playing Hibbert the entire second half, though.

McLegend 01-12-2010 01:03 AM

Kevin Durant with another 30 point game. It's unreal how good he is going to be.

He'll win multiple titles as well.

SammyG 01-12-2010 03:17 AM

Not on that team.

Russell Westbrook is a good pg, james harden can grow to be his #2

all they need is a decent bench and a good defensive center

this team is built for hte future durant will go down as the best player in this decade

SammyG 01-12-2010 04:00 AM

MEHHHH, don't see it really.

lol if Bosh joins the Lakers. Unstoppable.

With a young nucleuse of Jeff Green, Russel Westbrook, and James Hardin I think you'd be wrong.

Not to mention they have good GM who knows what he is doing. At least 2 titles this decade.

SammyG 01-12-2010 04:46 PM

Fuck. My. Life. Pau is prolly out for the Texas two-step. God damn!

Buzzkill 01-12-2010 06:50 PM

Why do you need Pau Gasol when you have the "greatest ever"

Juan 01-12-2010 06:59 PM

Jordan needed Pippen, Magic needed Kareem and Kobe needs Pau.

Juan 01-12-2010 09:20 PM

So sick of every team having their best night of the season against the Lakers. I lost count of all the times i've heard the other team's announcers say "This is the most energy I've seen them play with all season!" Not to mention how many scrubs have had career and season highs against the Lakers.

DaveWadding 01-13-2010 01:22 AM

Gotta turn it up to beat the champs.

SammyG 01-13-2010 05:04 AM

Jesus Christ, what the fuck Lakers?! Kobe injured his back now. What the hell. This team is not gonna win a championship by playing like this, this is pathetic. Also, I officially regret the Ariza-Artest deal. Dude is a scrub.

Juan 01-13-2010 01:11 PM

Yeah, cuz only scrubs have slumps.

Juan 01-13-2010 01:15 PM

Wow, i'm still taken back at the fact you called Artest a scrub. You're stupid

Knicks in haunted hotel?
By Mark J. Miller

Some of the New York Knicks appear to believe in ghosts. For real.

According to the New York Daily News, a few members of the team didn't get much sleep while visiting the Oklahoma City Thunder this past weekend because they thought ghosts were roaming the hallways. "I definitely believe it," Jared Jeffries(notes) told the paper. "The place is haunted. It's scary."

The Skirvin Hilton in Oklahoma City has reportedly been a place for ghost lovers for decades. The rumor is that a woman committed suicide there by jumping from a top floor in the 1930s while cradling her baby.

Eddy Curry(notes) supposedly only slept for two hours on Sunday night because his mind was racing. "They said it happened on the 10th floor and I'm the only one staying on the 10th floor," Curry said. "That's why I spent most of my time in (Nate Robinson's)(notes) room. I definitely believe there are ghosts in that hotel."

The Knicks might want to stay somewhere else next time they visit Oklahoma City.

What the hell has Artest done offensively? Jack shit. Dude can't jump 3 inches off the ground, you stupid Mexican. Have you seen his moves? Dude uncontrollably posts up and throws up some stupid shit. He was great on defense, but ever since his concussion, he is getting beat left and right. I would almost rather have Luke in there, now that he is back.

McLegend 01-13-2010 03:47 PM

Blake Griffin out for the year after surgery.

SammyG 01-13-2010 03:49 PM

The Clippers curse continues.

Buzzkill 01-13-2010 05:00 PM

LOL oh no Blake Griffin :( poor guy

As a Blazer fan I can certainly sympathize with the Clips right now...

Gonna go on record RIGHT HERE and say Kevin Durant never wins a championship.

Unless he learns to pass (read: initiate an offense, rather than being the offense) and play defense (I know he is better this year, but that's like saying Paris Hilton was a better actress in her second film)

Otherwise, he is just a 6'9 Allen Iverson (not that that's not a great thing, just not championship material)

McLegend 01-13-2010 05:34 PM

I respect you, but you are so wrong.

Hmm, did you ever stop to think that his offense has been hurt by the fact that he has plantar fasciitis and a sprained finger?? Come on man, if you're gonna be a Laker fan at least know what the fuck you're talking about.

SammyG 01-13-2010 06:20 PM

I do know what the fuck I'm talking about. Has he been good since the beginning of the year on offense? He's an alright shooter, but everytime he tries dribbling inside, I cringe. Dude is whack. Trevor is sucking it up for Houston, too, so maybe I don't want him back. I want LO to start at the 3 over Artest though.

Juan 01-13-2010 06:23 PM

You'll be kissing Artest's ass when he's shutting down on defense in the playoffs.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 01-13-2010 07:31 PM

rofllll SammyG is such a little bitch when it comes to sports. I honestly cannot believe it

SammyG 01-14-2010 02:58 AM

Never really said anything about his D. His D post concussion has been lackluster, but gotta give it up to him tonight, he finally stepped up in a big game.

Juan 01-14-2010 03:05 AM

He made some big plays against San Antonio too by drawing some fouls. He at least kept it competitive up until the last 2 minutes of that game

SammyG 01-14-2010 04:51 AM

Odom said his right hand is pretty fucked up and he is kinda worried about it. FML another injury.

Juan 01-14-2010 05:16 AM

It's been injured since the last Phoenix game though, so as long as he keeps playing like he did tonight, i'll be a happy camper.

Also, great game by Golden State tonight. Really thought there were gonna pull a win out.

PS. Kevin Martin will return to the Kings on Friday. Can't wait to see what this team does with a healthy Martin and Tyreke Evan lighting it up.

SammyG 01-14-2010 05:26 AM

Kings will be a playoff team next year, if not this year. Tyreke is the fucking shit.

Champion of Europa 01-14-2010 06:02 AM

Woohoo! Pacers made another big comeback and beat the Suns!

I was court side for it, and it was insane.

Two games I've been to this week, two wins after coming back from 20+ point deficits.

Champion of Europa 01-14-2010 05:15 PM

I think our new strategy is to lure them to sleep with 23 or 24 point deficits, then STRIKE.

SammyG 01-14-2010 05:29 PM

Wednesday, the 27th, do that against the Lakers... at least the 24 point deficit thing, so the Lakers can win by 30. Although, the Lakers I think have one of their worst road percentages against Indiana in Indiana

Champion of Europa 01-14-2010 05:32 PM

I'm really rooting for an Indiana win. We've got Granger back and Dunleavy is getting back to where he was. I think we can do it, especially with how the Lakers luck has been recently.

SammyG 01-14-2010 05:44 PM

Pau comes back Friday. So I doubt it...

SammyG 01-15-2010 01:42 AM

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG WHAT A FINISH IN UTAH!

Juan 01-15-2010 01:44 AM

A Cleveland loss is always welcome

SammyG 01-15-2010 01:46 AM

Hell yeah. Dude that signed a 10 day contract with them yesterday or whatever, hits the game winning 3 at the buzzer, with someone all up in his grill.

Juan 01-15-2010 01:57 AM

Sundiata Gaines for the win

This will go one of two ways. 1) The Pacers will win the next 2 games, look like they might be making a run for a playoff spot and then lose the next 8 games, or 2) Maybe Granger and Dunleavy play like they did against the Suns ( like they have the potential to play ) and maybe Earl Watson ( as crazy as this sounds ) is a solid PG. And maybe O'Brien pulls his head out of his ass and realizes that we need to work the ball into Hibbert more and then focus on the outside shot.

That's alot of maybes.

Reguardless, we cant compete in the playoffs. I mean, Danny and Mike and Murphy need to be lights out in a 7 game series. I dont like O'Brien at all.

This season is shaping up like the past few seasons. 35-47 no playoffs and a shitty lottery pick.

Its a vicious cycle.

RP 01-15-2010 05:33 AM

But when Granger and Dunleavy play like they did against the Suns and Watson dishes 9 assist, Indiana is a tough out.

RP 01-15-2010 05:36 AM

I just read on Yahoo that the Timberwolves offered Al Jefferson for Danny Granger, but Bird declined.

Jefferson is a beast, but Granger is a gamebreaker. Wish we could give them TJ Ford for Jefferson . lol

Champion of Europa 01-15-2010 03:33 PM

I'd be excited as all get out if we traded TJ for anyone. I cant imagine anyone being as frustrating as TJ is to me.

Gertner 01-15-2010 05:22 PM

Jazz show bitch.

RP 01-15-2010 09:36 PM

Earl Watson might be a really good PG. He's playing outstanding.

OssMan 01-15-2010 10:08 PM

Like Sigfried and Roy
Abbot and Costello
Magic and Kareem or
Penn and Teller
Somebody's in trouble? Aw here it goes
On nick-nick-nick-nick-nick-nick-nick

Juan 01-16-2010 01:20 AM

lol Lakers beat the Clippers by 40 points and were up by as many as 46. It was a pretty entertaining game up until the 3rd quarter.

RP 01-16-2010 01:44 AM

If the pacers can get there confidence going and Murphy, Granger and Dunleavy play like they've played the last 3, maybe. But i'm not biting yet. Win 6 in a row. Then i'll bite.

Baron Davis should have punched Kobe in his face

RP 01-16-2010 02:15 AM

First of all, Fisher fouled him like 3 times in that play. Second, lol at Davis crazy eyes and armpit stench

OssMan 01-16-2010 02:24 AM

Do you pronounce Baron like it should be pronounced "Baron," or is it some black way LaRon Landry style like BaRon Davis

It's part of the conspiracy, masterminded by David Stern, to get the Lakers back in the Finals, bro. I mean, why else would the referee that's standing 2 feet away not call a foul on Fisher on that play?

RP 01-16-2010 02:54 AM

...

You're stupid.

Brujesino 01-16-2010 02:59 AM

that elbow is way over hyped

Juan 01-16-2010 03:05 AM

Bottom line, overacting or not (something every NBA player is guilty of doing at one point in their career), it was a flagrant foul.

HE WAS FOULED 3 FUCKING TIMES IN THAT PLAY YOU DUMB ASS
